My husband and I went to Slumberland in Springfield, MO on November 11th, 2016. We found the perfect sofa and chair and paid for them that day with an expected delivery date of the 23rd of November. We received a phone call stating the furniture had been delayed and that it would available on December 2nd with a delivery date of the 6th of December. The sales person said they would call when it arrived on the 2nd but did not. So my husband went in on the 3rd to verify that the furniture was there and available for delivery. Low and behold no sofa or chair so he cancelled the order. So began the refund process, recall the furniture had been paid in full on November 11th. The sales team filled out the paperwork and voided the order and said the refund would be placed back in our checking account on Monday the 5th of December. Checked the bank account Monday and no refund. So my husband went back. This time they said it would take 3 to 5 business days and that the account showed a $0.00 balance. So he asked for the corporate phone number, after some hmmming and haaaang, the sales person gave a customer service number. Which my husband then called. When he asked to be transferred, the CSR sent him back to the store he had just left. So he called again, this time the CSR sent him to the accounting dept. The accounting office verified that the refund had been processed, and this time it would take 7-10 business days and even up to 30 days! At this point our money which was taken out instantly at the time of purchase is floating somewhere between Slumberland, VISA (who handles our banks debit card), and our Bank but no one can confirm when exactly we will get our money back, or where it currently is. So before you decide to purchase from Slumberland take this experience to heart. When and if the purchase goes awry expect no help from the staff of this organization, who seeming passed the buck at every opportunity. And if you simply must buy from Slumberland, cash and carry because there is no telling when or if the furniture will arrive.

I dont think theres enough good things I can say about this place.... Ill start by saying my husband and I just moved to the Springfield area and we decided to go one weekend to get an idea of what we wanted/needed when we found a home. We were originally helped by Miranda who knows her stuff AND has a great sense of humor! But Slumberlands was the first place we looked so after getting an idea of costs we went to Ashley, FFO, Sofa city and furniture row and out of all those places Slumberlands either had better prices or their customer service was above and beyond amazing!! Slumberlands also price matches ANYTHING theyre selling against any other stores in the Springfield area. So, we found the sectional we wanted at Slumberlands that included massage and USB connections. Sofa City had the same sectional minus the massage and USB connections but Slumberlands wanted to keep our business/has great customer service and so they price matched Sofa City which was almost $600 cheaper!! I definitely recommend Slumberlands to anyone looking for friendly and fantastic customer service and great prices!! OH! And I regrettably cant remember the other ladies name who helped us when Miranda was out but she was amazing as well!! Just all around amazing customer service at that place!!

You really do not want to buy here! I bought two recliners. When I got them the material on one arm seemed to be harder than all of the others. I also bought the Furniture Care warranty. After we had the chairs about 6 months the top layer of leather on the arm cracked open. When I called the store the salesman said I should cut it all the way through and report it as an accident. I think it is a manufacturing defect so I called them and they told me it was a rip or a cut. I was persistent that it was not. They sent a tech after two weeks. I showed him the hard arm. He agreed and said he would order a new arm. Then he started talking about oil. He also said that he didnt think there would be enough oil in 6 months to cause a problem. Then he reported that it was soaked in oil and was cracking and tearing. Now I cant get the other warranty to repair it either. They (Slumberland) are actually both warranties. I would give them a 0 if that were an option. I fully intend to report this to the Consumer Protection Division of the MO atty generals office.

I bought a $3000 couch here about 2 years ago. I also bought the warranty for it which was $500. The warranty is suppose to cover spills, stains, rips, punctures etc. Ive moved recently and accidentally ripped one of the corners of it. So I call customer service to see if someone could come out and fix it. Hear me out they said we only cover normal wear and tear Are you kidding me!!? The damn warranty paper says rips and punctures etc. Theyre liars and cheaters! I currently need to buy some furniture and guess what none of you are gono get my business ever again! I would not suggest anyone buy anything from them. You need to take care of your customers even after theyve purchased furniture from you. From a very unhappy never coming back customer.

bought new reclining chair pd good money for it I picked it up brought it home and found several flaws contacted store had to contact their repair center sent out tec ordered new chair they said they wanted to charge me to change out chairs we argued about this was told I should have opened box in parking lot and inspected it that they had ample lighting to do that finally agreed on 25.00 to deliver and pick up other chair . they have a pretty good racket of charging to deliver what they sell. I have bought several recliners and chairs from this store in springfield,mo. but after this no one from my family will step foot in that store again.

Wow. Just got off the phone with then new owner of Slumberland. If that is the way she treats all of her customers I hate to see how the sales people treat customers! We have a warranty on a couch we bought a couple of years ago and unless we have the receipt and booklet we got when we purchased the couch, she is saying we wont be able to use the warranty. She found my receipt and can see that we purchased the warranty but said, and I quote, "My hands are tied, there is nothing I can do". Again, wow. I cant believe in this day and age she would treat a warranty buying customer that way. If you shop here...good luck!

My husband and I just purchased a couch, chair, bedroom suit and a mattress/box springs. We went to several different stores, but felt at home when we walked in. I worked with Theresa and she was outstanding. I highly recommend doing business with her and Slumberland. Theresa stayed an hour after closing to work with us. We never felt rushed or pressured. We felt that she was honest and truly cared about us. After the purchase, Theresa and Ben followed up with us to say thank you. My family wants to say "thank you for being kind and working with us."
