Seven Grains First off, I do want to say that there are some nice people that work at Seven Grains, the store manager is a sweat heart! :) however the owner (Gina) is very unprofessional and belittles all her workers - she undermines them and treats them like she could careless if they are there today or gone tomorrow... This makes for a very hard work environment and employees always walking on eggs shells. The employees are mostly just people working hard to pay their bills on what little they make. The rest is just horrible. A typical day of work is you clock in, and before you can take a break, you are bombarded with rude customers who expect you wait on them hand and foot. They talk down to you because you work at a GROCERY store. The worst part is, even if a customer flat out belittles you, it is your fault and the company would rather fire a great employee then defend them. Anyway, lets talk about the work. You are usually OVERWORKED and expected to do the job of 2 and 3 people at the same time IE wait on counter while you prep items and clean at the same while they give you other task as they are understaffed to save money on labor. Then heres the best part, after breaking your back for a few dollars, you get told that you need to step up your game and have a better attitude. The leadership here is a JOKE and very unprofessional - I have seen my leadership disappear every time a pretty face walks by and one make in specific, likes to get really close and rides the fine line of sexual harassment. I Have seen and heard leadership talk to customers in an unprofessional manor and get away with it. If you are not the company pet, dont expect decent hours and expect to work weekends.... ALL weekends and late mid shift hours with all the grunt work. I have seen things happen in different departments that would make people stop shopping here, IE prep foods, bakery and meat.. Often times they buy product and sell it as organic but the truth is that they re-label and sell processed foods especially their so called famous "donations" this is not slander, its the is truth.. They grind meat once a week with a shelf life of 3-4 days - once it expires, they re work it into other mislabeled "organic" foods.. They get away with this most of the time be user of the way to label their product. There prep coolers often loose cooling capabilities and the food reaches temperatures of 60 degrees, they serve it anyway. The deli section has mold under the holding containers in the case, its GROSS! They have a "waste" container in the back room that they say they dispose of and or send back to the manufacture, however they force their employees to use this "expired" product back into their foods to save on costs. The company only cares about profits and squeezing all they can out of the workers for little to no reward. Most workers are unhappy but afraid to talk in fear of losing there job, and who could blame them!? the local economy still sticks and employers are not hiring for entry level positions as often as they used to, its hard out there! :-/ If you want to progress in the company, you must drink the cool-aid and believe in the false culture that they try to portray that they are. There is much more to say but I cant write a novel here. If I could give this job / business a zero star.. I would! please for your own good, avoid this place at all cost.. I did 85% of my shopping here until I spent one year of my working life behind the scenes.. I wanted to get sick after seeing their practices first hand.. you have been warned, please dont make the same mistake we did.. Id quit if I could find something and find a REAL organic / whole foods grocery store to shop at.

I visit this store on a regular basis since its down the street from my house. Their lunch special is great, a giant pile of 3 deli foods for $7.99. But I disagree with the rest of the posts saying they have good prices. I would never buy my produce here in a million years unless you want to waste a lot of money. They charge at least $1-2 more per pound than anywhere Ive ever been. A can of organic veggies is almost $3, their frozen fruit is more expensive than my Netflix bill, and it seems to be the same for every product they have. I like this place due to convenience and it have an okay selection of things but prepare to pay out the rear for them. Not to mention the dark brown haired lady who I believe owns or managers the store is rarely friendly. She tries to smile and be nice but it seems forced and she just seems pi$$ed off all the time and or irritated. But the younger staff are always nice.

Moved fr Cleve to Tallmadge in May 2016 and my health required a good natural market with good vitamin/minerals, skin/hair care. I have many food allergies, and sensitivities to chemicals and additives. I found the perfect market for fresh produce, grass fed, free range meats, and many necessary staples. I am giving a five star rating because, not only can I find what I need, the owners are extremely visible, helpful and very kind. I moved in January to west Akron, closer to other "natural markets" and keep driving the extra miles to Seven Grains because no other market keeps such high standards. Do not hesitate to ask for help...they are wonderful people.

I have been a steady customer of Seven Grains since its beginnings over 10 years ago. I love the idea of shopping in a local business who is dedicated to bringing healthy, unprocessed, organic foods to the area! I know that if its sold there, the product, the producers and the packaging has been vetted extensively by the owners BEFORE it makes the cut! I also en!joy being able to talk with Gina, the owner and get advice and suggestions on any health or food related topic, and sometimes just to chat. I find the quiet, friendly atmosphere and the quality of their products much more appealing than any BIG BOX store in which I am just a number. I LOVE THIS STORE!

This store has a large selection of healthy foods (including many vegan options) and all-natural skincare products. They also have a deli with a nice selection of lunch meats, cheeses, and prepared foods. They have a reverse osmosis water dispenser, so you can bring your own gallon jugs and get them filled for a good price. However, the one big negative is their prices. Almost everything here is very expensive. Rarely can you find a good deal. You can often find the same products at other places for a cheaper price (especially the produce).
