Just wanted to post a letter we sent to the BassPro Headquarters concerning an associate there. She has made our shopping at your store a pleasure every time. Thank You Kathy . Dear BassPro Shops , My wife and I just wanted to take the time to compliment an associate that works at your St. Charles location. Her name in Kathy Gilliam. We do a lot of shopping at BassPro and when we do , it has become a a regular routine , that when we go in the store we automatically look for Kathy. Over the past few years she has been very helpful to us when we shop there. She seems to know the store like the back of her hand. Every time we are looking for something, whether it is in her department or not she has been eager to help and able to find it herself or knew exactly who to go to for the information. It is over an hour drive to get to the store so it is pretty important to me to be able to get what I want on the first trip , and she has made that possible. We always make sure she is going to be working before we plan out shopping trip there. She is an asset to your company and we would like to thank her for all of her help. Sincerely , Paul and Peggy Parris

Top Notch Service. I have been to literally every other outdoor store in the area as well as others from Florida to Colorado. I keep coming back. Granted St. Charles is not as big as most, but has quite a bit and employees are helpful, but not suffocating. Anyone can find something to complain about anywhere, they just have to be in the mood to look for it, and those that do complain seem to be those whod complain about finding an extra$20 in their pocket that it wasnt a $50. Ive had moments a sure, but they are FAR outweighed by good ones. Went to BPS to look for Browning 308 special varmit a while back and no other outdoor store knew what I was even talking about even after showing them a picture of it they acted like it didnt exist. Walked up to gun counter at BPS and the lady behind the counter went and grab the rifle before I could get the full description out. She knew her stuff. She went way out of her way to call around searching, finding and ship that rifle from another store in the 308 I was looking for. Love the rifle. I been to so many places that if you dont appear to be a local or dont know them, they wont even give you the time of day. Not at BPS, Ill continue to use them.

Never ever order SHIP TO STORE. I did this and was not informed that my order would have to wait until the truck was full. There was no guarantee on when that would be. This was not disclosed before the order. When I called to check out the arrival time was when I found out about this. After cancelling the order, I was told my refund couldnt be processed until a manager cancelled it. Then 3-10 business days until refund would process. Week later get a call from a manager saying my rods are here and come pick them up the order was never cancelled because they never received the rods. Get there and find out the order was cancelled. Wait 20 minutes at pick up counter and leave to get back to work. Re checked bank account and credit showed up. No apologies. Waste of time and hassle. If you need it fast, Tacklewarehouse is who I recommend. You can track the shipping. Wont do that again.

My experiences at Bass Pro are disgusting to say the least. 6 months ago I was waited on by a very patient guy who answered my questions and did not rush me. Past few times they were sub par, I go here to shop around and today was the worst trip to Bass Pro. I was merely looking to closer inspect some 12 gauge shotguns I was willing to shovel out good money for and I waited and waited for at least 20 min, one staff member was very rude by using his unsouthernlike charm to piss me away as I was asking for help. He told me he was working with a customer when he was doing nothing. Well I can say I will no longer come to this location and piss away my hard earned money at this place, and I will not get spammed by their emails theyre supposed to call deals.

Never order online! I placed an order on a Saturday afternoon. I live in the same state as the warehouse it is shipping from. I work with shipping items all over the world every day and I know how long an item takes to ship within the same state. The items didnt ship until Tuesday of the following week and when they did ship it never arrived. Bass pro kept telling me to allow the item 7 business days and would not help at all. I will never order from them online again. Beware, economy shipping from them will take much longer than any other online shopping you may do. Theyre lucky I cant buy some items that I purchase anywhere else or I wouldnt even waste my money at this place. Very bad customer service and they dont care about you at all.

The fishing selection is by far better at this Bass Pro than the Cabelas. The rod selection is actually more than what they have in Orlando and Denhan springs...for bass fishing and light catfishin. I havent seen that much of a selection of st croix legend tournament, g loomis glx, and shimano cumaras, and they already have the new Crucials. Which most place dont. They also have a very good array of braided line, which i was also impressed. And a good selection of lefty baitcasters. They could use some more catfish rods and reels though. People there friendly from what I experienced but at times can be hard to find.

With all they hype and TV shows, you would think they would care about what they sell and how they sell it. "Red-Head" gear is ALL chinese made crap! Dont trust any label that says waterproof because it is NOT. I hunt a lot and will not use any of their house-label items. The other merchandise they offer is generally over priced when compared to Cabelas or the small guys. God help you if you have a question that requires any kind of expertise or are looking for something specific. Bass-pro is fine for the new guy looking to START hunting, etc, but you are just as well off at Walmart.
