I felt that the person who prepared me for the doctors visit (Kennedy if I recall correctly) did a fantastic job, taking her time and making sure my concerns were answered. My doctors visit felt rushed. Dr. Witt and I raced through many different prescription options, and I do not feel like I was given adequate time to evaluate them. (3 better? or 4? when I did not have adquate time to see how good 3 was) Numerous times, I asked to see options again, at what felt like a great inconvenience to Dr. Witt. Many of the better options were poor compared to my current eyeglasses, which gave me pause. (As an update: Glasses I ordered based on the prescription that resulted from this visit turned out to be unusable.) The optical staff, after finding out that I was not going to purchase eyeglasses, seemed mainly interested in getting me out of the office. When measuring my pupillary distance, I felt as though the staffer who helped me did not recognize a condition I have with my eyes (them being cross-eyed, which I feel is not that uncommon), and she seemed genuinely uninterested when I tried to point out and explain what the condition entails. In the process, I believe she obtained an entirely incorrect measurement of my pupillary distance which disagrees by 5mm (maybe a quarter of an inch--a large amount) from prior measurements. I will not be recommending Chittick to friends and family, and I will most definitely not return myself.

I recently moved into town and my glasses broke during the moving process. Chittack was able to see me two days after I called. They were so friendly! Every single staff member I encountered was polite and had such a positive attitude. Everyone really seemed to care about my experience at Chittack. I met with Dr. Leon who was PHENOMENAL. He is the nicest and most well-informed doctor (all doctors, not just eye doctors!) I have ever had! He ended up diagnosing a eye condition that I had for some time now and no other doctor had caught. He was so patient and answered all my questions. I cant say enough great things about Chittack eye care. They blew my expectations out of the water and I will be referring everyone I can to them. Best eye place in town, hands down!

Unfortunately, my experience wasnt anything close to the others. Two years ago I went to Chitticks & explained that I wanted special glasses that allowed me to shoot target competition. I explained in detail exactly what I needed & why. They took notes & ordered my glasses. When returning to pick up my new glasses, I could quickly see these new glasses werent anything like I needed or asked for. All my concerns were noted & a new pair were ordered at no extra cost. But it was explained to me, they would only do this one time. Again when I returned for the 2nd new pair of glasses, I discovered they also werent made properly. The bill was $307.00 for something completely useless to me. Bottom line, Ill never return to Chitticks again.

The Chittick office is clean, comfortable and attractive. My appointment was on schedule, no waiting. I found the staff at to be friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. Their knowledge of my insurance plan and use of it to maximize my benefit was especially appreciated. The Dr explained the tests and their results in clearly understandable terminology. All of my questions were fully answered. This was my second visit to Chittick for routine eye care, I was seen by a different optometrist the first visit and I received the same excellent care each visit. Overall, I am very impressed with the standard of care offered and the clear commitment to client service.

I had a great experience at Chittick Family Eye Care in Savoy. The receptionist was friendly. The person that helped do my basic check in levels was very personable and friendly. Then, Dr. Ryan Whitt was wonderful! He explained everything in detail instead of just saying "yup, everythings fine.". I felt like I had a mini biology lesson about the eye while I was there - the cliff notes version! I was glad to learn more about my eyes and I felt like I was truly taken care of. They allowed me to take home two boxes of contacts to trial. Also, they had a great selection of glasses that werent outrageously expensive. Id highly recommend this place to anyone!

Nothing but the absolute best things to say about this locally-owned office. Every single person who works there is friendly, competent and goes the extra mile to make sure youre getting exactly what you need. I have an eye condition that occasionally causes me to need immediate appointments and treatment. In previous places I lived, I had to go to an eye doctor associated with a medical clinic to get treated. Not only is that not necessary with Chittick, but I got cutting-edge care that Id never been offered before that made a huge difference in my quality of life. I would never consider going anywhere else.

I visited Chittick because they accepted my VSP insurance plan - being a walk-in, I expected cool treatment, but the staff were very warm and friendly. The secretary immediately guided me to the appropriate frame racks, and the optician helped me measure the most suitable sized frames and recommended online sites where I could find some that would actually fit. So - very personalized and welcoming service. (Selection is decent, but not copious.)

My whole experience was great - I was very impressed and am happy that I decided to change eye doctors. Dr. Leon made sure I knew the state of my eyes and explained everything in detail. He took his time to make sure I was getting the treatment I needed. He is very genuine, and my experience was very comfortable. The staff is very friendly and knowledgable. They deserve five stars. :)

Ive been going to Chittick for several years and have always had good experiences . My most recent visit was the best to date. a fairly new employee, Justine, did an excellent job with the normal pre-doctor tests. Dr. Leon took a little more time with me than usual to answer some concerns I had. Their office is always clean and the staff is very friendly. I highly recommend them!

This visit, they discovered LensCrafters had the lenses in my glasses reversed within minutes after I had taken them back to LensCrafters noting a problem. Always very helpful working within your insurance and carry great brands.
