The owner is smug, rude, and slimy. I got to their door at close and was confronted by their massive and unfriendly bouncer. I told him politely that I knew exactly what I wanted to buy as Id been to the store earlier and asked if it would be alright if I came in and immediately made a purchase and then left. The owner comes to the door and asks me what it was I wanted to buy, with a tone and body language that wasnt the least bit friendly. I told him what it was, it was about $300 which I know isnt a huge sale for them, and he flatly told me to come back tomorrow. lol. He should have either just said yes or no. Asking me what I wanted to buy for the obvious purpose of determining whether the sale was worth him staying open for two extra minutes or not was extremely rude. Also, I told him that I wouldnt be able to come back tomorrow as I wouldnt be in the area and that was that. He should have taken the small profit and gained a customer for the future. I am looking to make a bigger purchase now and wont buy from him. The whole thing was also a bit cold because I am a guy and i was buying womens jewelry, an obvious gift. A nice person would have just given two minutes of their time for young romance if not for smart long term business.

I dont know which jewelry store the other unfavorable reviewers are speaking of but it certainly is not the "Tiny Jewel Box"! This family owned gem of a store is filled with not only priceless one of a kind estate pieces, but the most amazing selection of unusual gifts in town. The staff (especially Ms. Barbara K.) is amazingly helpful, insightful and patient! Ms. Barbara went out of her way to spend quality time with me and give most appreciated suggestions to fit my budget and taste. Everyone that I encountered was polite and gracious. Definitely a place to shop!

Phenomenal store with great customer service. I am a watch enthusiast and I had heard great things about the Tiny Jewel Box so I referred a couple of friends who live in DC proper and they had a great experience. I then referred my best friend who lives out of town, we visited the store together, he made a purchase and he had a phenomenal experience as well. So, the other day I referred my sister and had her pick me up a watch while she was there. Excellent. Each time I have dealt directly with Jorge and he is a gentleman and a great guy.

While the store and merchandise are nice, the customer service is lacking. I went into this store to inquire about a watch I had seen online. I asked a couple of questions that the store clerk was unable to answer. She told me that she would find out and call me. A week like, having received no call, I returned to the store. The same employee told me she still had not been able to find an answer to my question. She again promised to call, though. I never heard back. As a result, they have lost my business.

Liz was extraordinarily helpful and patient with us while we looked at and tried on wedding bands. Having had no previous experience, we didnt know much about the various styles, materials and design options. We left feeling confident about ring shopping and hope to be able to return soon to purchase one of the rings we liked. They have a lovely selection of classics as well as designer pieces. Other staff were all extremely polite and thoughtful. I would recommend this store without reservation.

Called to inquire about a Rolex. Me: Do you have X? Can you put me on a waitlist? Rep: We dont have wait lists. Me: Okay, how would I find out if you have X? Rep: Have you shopped with us before? Me: No. Rep: Well, we have preferred clients and X is new bla bla bla. Me: How does one become a client if youre rude and refuse to sell anything. Its so nice going to a local jeweler. The staff is personable, very knowledgeable, and stands by their word. I dropped off a ring to get re-sized, and it was done a week earlier than expected. They are currently undergoing renovations to connect their main floor with the business space next door, so all their products will be on one floor now. Cant wait to see how great its going to look.

Have a couple of vintage watches that were in need of some TLC. Took a couple of months for the repair work that included new crowns, spring work, New crystals and polishing. I was amazed at the restoration of the two pieces and the candid conversation I had with the jeweler that worked on the pieces. First rate, top shelf Jewelry store.

After being turned down by many other jewelry stores in the D.C. area for my custom piece idea, I was incredibly lucky to find Tiny Jewel Box. Alicia, the coordinator for custom made pieces, could not have been more helpful in the process. Would recommend to anybody interested in getting custom jewelry made around the country!

Very disappointed! Called to purchase a $32000 gold rolex and the lady who was apparently one of the managers was clueless and distracted! Very unprofessional! I emailed her and she never replied.
