This place is fun, if you think of it like a garage sale for food. You can find a treasure for a song, or you can pay a little less than what youd pay in a store. If they have a lot of something, it will be very cheap. If you want to save money, grab a big box and stock up with sale items. Whatever doesnt sell well at a regular grocery store, ends up here. So there are odd flavors, gourmet items and old items as well as familiar ones. If its organic, without preservatives, watch the expiration dates. I find it great for granola bars- packed with sugar, they never truly get old, so paying fifty cents a box for some that are a month too old is fine. They taste the same for a year after "sell by" date. I also find it a great place for crackers, chocolate and cereal. Dont buy any dented cans! New products that havent been picked up yet by the regular grocery stores are often at Sacks as well. Gluten free items came there first, long before they were common at every grocery store. Whole grain products were there first too. You can see which trends are coming to your regular grocery store and which are leaving. Rather than throwing it out, the unsold food is here. Its a great place if you like Big Lots or flea markets or want to stretch your budget. If you are squeamish or prissy, stay away. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Its not like most stores that have one or two friendly employees. The entire staff has a great attitude and the last time I was there, they were playing great music, too.

I picked up a bottle of juice and a ROACH was crawling on it..and that disappointed and disgusted me..I didnt buy that juice but decided to not ever shop here again..then I saw some olives that are normally expensive in the a stage grocery store and they were more expensive there in Sacks..no no no no ..If roaches crawling around on stuff they are contaminating the food whats the purpose of buying expired food and then getting sick because roaches have contaminated it..its not worth it!!!! cr

Located in a thrifty plaza along with wholesale furniture, family dollar and Community Thrift this place is a decent way to save a buck. Everything on sale is comparable to sale prices at regular grocery stores if not cheaper. They have produce, meat and dairy as well as a large dry food selection. I was pleasantly surprised. Though I planned to just check it out I ended up buying some groceries and walking out with what would normally cost ~$15 at Publix for $7.

There are many good deals to be had here if you are willing to take the time and look. You can get a box of brand name K-Cups for less than $3.50. I would advise staying away from unsealed items such as boxes of rice or pasta because there is a possibility of infestation from flies or other types of insects.

Horrible.. just horrible.. one of the worst places Ive ever been to. Just kidding! Love this place! But not really its horrible.. no but seriously this place is amazing, great value and can find plenty of organic stuff for the fraction of the price of Whole foods etc.

You might feel as if youve entered a 3rd world war zone market. But soldier on. Among the haphazard boxes of mismatched goods and dented cans, fantastic deals can be found here. Great way to save money. Every trip feels like a adventure. Seriously, great place.
