READ THIS BEFORE YOU SHOP AT SEARS !!! I will NEVER purchase anything from Sears again. I have been a loyal Sears customer for years, NO MORE! I purchased 4 kitchen appliances from Sears Outlet store in Newark, DE. on May 1st. First they charged me for 2 ranges. No big deal, they refunded the 1. That was just the beginning of my nightmare. First off. I recently have suffered 2 strokes, I had just been released from the hospital the evening we purchased the appliances. I was in no shape to be shopping but had no choice as our range and fridge had died. Then came the time for delivery.....all 4 items were to be delivered the same day. Only 2 items were on the truck, the fridge and the dishwasher (which they left sitting in the middle of my kitchen floor), the fridge they brought had food stains inside, that is NOT acceptable when I purchased a NEW one. I had the driver look at the food stains and I took pictures. He signed the back of the delivery ticket stating he saw the food stains all over the inside. I called the store to find out where my other items were and find out why they sent me a used fridge and they told me that what was delivered was all that was purchased. I asked to speak with the manager and was told he wasnt in and to call back tomorrow. I called Sears customer relations and the agent I spoke to called the store and had me on a 3 way call. Funny, the manager, Mr. Markowitz, got on the line. As I was trying to explain to him what was going on, he kept cutting me off everytime I tried to say something, now My speech has been affected from the strokes so I speak slowly and almost like a stutter and forget words a lot, so explaining in length is very difficult for me and i know I sound like Forrest Gump. However, I dont think that gives Mr. Markowitz reason to scream at me over the phone and treat me in the atrocious manner he did. He is was rude beyond belief. The agent from customer relations hung up and left me at the mercy of Mr. Markowitz who in turn caused me more stress than a little to the point of crying. My husband went up to the store to pick up the rest of our appliances and see the manager, but he was not in. I called Sears Customer care again and spoke with Earlene who said she would investigate and call me back. The store agreed to replace the fridge with what I purchased. 2 weeks later, (still havent heard from Earlene) after several phone calls to customer care I was still waiting for my fridge to be delivered. The drivers kept cancelling due to time issues. I could only be here in the afternoon as I had physical therapy in the mornings and of course they wanted to deliver in the morning. Finally, Monday morning I had to cancel therapy because they wanted to reschedule yet again. In the past 2 days, I have called customer relations 5 times giving them my case number and have had to explain the experience each time. It is May 21st and still no resolution. Monday, I spoke with Kedar, he hung up on me after offering me a $40 gift card to Sears and me telling him no thanks. Then I spoke to Suzanne who promised me a return call with answers by yesterday. Still waiting for that call. Today I spoke to Cheryl who informed me that Mr. Markowitz told customer relations that he had been in contact with my husband and everything was resolved. I called my husband at work at he said he has had no call from Mr. Markowitz but certainly would love to talk to him. So as it stands now, they say my issue has been resolved. REALLY???? By whose standards? SEARS? Typing is also very difficult as I have right hand weakness. It is taking me a very long time to type this.

Purchased a fridge a month ago, wasted two days at home waiting for it to be delivered and never got it because it never actually got it delivered to them. Finally accepted the floor model since our new fridge still had yet to be delivered to the store, they wrote down my last name as my street name for delivery so now I have wasted another day at home and still have not gotten my fridge. The individuals who work in this store do not deserve the constant berating they receive from customers. Sears corporate needs to get their heads out of their asses and provide this establishment with the appropriate customer support, suppliers and delivery service. When I called corporate to complain, they were 100% useless and didnt make any attempt to rectify the situation. *Update* We finally got our fridge today and I would like to reiterate that Sears Corporate is less than useless. The fridge is great, no problems with the appliance itself, but the corporate receptionist that I spoke to never followed up with me like I was promised and they did nothing to rectify the situation. The store manager Anthony, on the other hand, went above and beyond. Not only was he kind to me despite my anger, he communicated with me about the situation in a timely and appropriate manner and he offered us a generous (albeit deserved) discount on the appliance. In summary, what I have learned is to buy from the store itself and DO NOT buy from the line of appliances that the corporate office manages. Kudos to Anthony for demonstrating what it means to be an excellent manager. And shame on Sears for not taking responsibility for this situation that was clearly their fault. If they had ensured their suppliers and delivery service were up to par, we would have had our fridge weeks ago. We bought a stove off the floor from Anthony before this fiasco and everything with that purchase was quick and easy.

Within the past few months I went into Sears Outlet store looking for a chest freezer and found one I was interested in priced at $765.00. A salesman assisted me and I pointed out the big banner on the outside of the building which advertised 40% to 60% off everything - not on selected items. In addition, I mentioned that the freezer that I was interested in (the only one in the store of this size) had parts missing from it as well. I understood that the appliance might be dented but my expectation was that all parts would be there and if not, there would be an even greater discounting of the appliance. The salesman took the price sticker off the freezer and walked to the back of the store to talk to his manager about pricing for the freezer. They were using a price of $899.99 for their pricing point even though the price had clearly been marked down to the 765.00 price. So what they did was deduct around 41% from the original retail price for a freezer without any deficiencies which bought the price down to $521. When I called the regular Sears store it was brought to my attention that this same freezer brand new was $736.00, not the $899.99 that the Sears scratch and dent was listing as the retail value. The freezer had several cosmetic issues, was missing parts and on top of all of that the freezer was broken which I learned after subsequent repair attempts by Sears repair department. I lost hundreds of dollars of food in this ordeal and no one including the managers I spoke with tried to make this right! I WILL NEVER SHOP THERE EVER AGAIN THE WORST!!!!!!!!
