My friends use "the crappy one" to describe this Home Depot, and "the good one" to describe the Home Depot in Frazer. I dont know what happened to this store over the past few years, but the quality of the store has decreased significantly. First thing I noticed - they got rid of hand baskets. Why?! Now if I am going in there for three small items, say a box of light bulbs, a box of screws, and a box of batteries, I have to push a huge shopping cart around the store. Second - I no longer get cell reception in the store when I used to just fine. Thankfully, the store lets you connect to their awful free wifi network which doesnt work. I guess they dont want you going online and looking up how bad their Ryobi line of tools is. Third - they let those third party "amway" style salesmen come to the store and bother you. I dont want to be talked into buying new siding that I dont need while I just came in here to buy a replacement part for my sink drain. Here was the final straw - I went here on my lunch break to buy some carriage bolts. They closed the entire screw aisle. All because some bumbling idiot was operating a forklift in the lumber aisle next to the screw aisle. I stood there for ten minutes watching this simpleton figure out how to use the forklift before I gave up and left. I only come here because it is close to my office and I can get stuff on my lunch break. Id much rather go to the Frazer location. Lowes and the local hardware store are equally close to my office. I think Ill just go there from now on. Im done with this store.

Just terrible. My wife and I ordered a washer and dryer (Whirlpool) from this location. Paid full price, had great salesmen help us. It was quick and easy. When the washer and dryer were delivered - the dryer was not functioning properly. I refused the delivery of the of the dryer, but kept the washing machine. Fast forward 14 days - we still have no functioning dryer! They had re-ordered 2 dryers (different dryers, same model) and we are still having the same issue! We paid full price for a washing machine that sits. And a dryer that cannot generate hot air! Sadly, the Store Manager and Assistant Manager could not do anything to resolve the issue! I felt like I was trouble-shooting and problem solving for the Managers! JUST AN ABSOLUTE DISGRACE! As I first stated, there is a Lowes just 2.5 miles up the road. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT purchase from this Home Depot. The management at this location cannot seem to direct, lead or problem solve for a single one of their customers! I will also write to BBB and send this report. Its important to know, as a informed consumer, that this home project companies does nothing to keep customers happy! I hope this review finds you well, and will help you be more educated about your purchases.

My wife and I stopped in today to get some paint. It was around lunchtime and we had our 3 little kids with us and we knew we were on a time constraint. We have been there before where people would approach us, I assume they work there, for estimates on siding, cabinets, HVAC, etc. We usually tell them that we only have a short period of time and cannot really speak with them in length today. They usually say we understand and we go on their way. We were approached today about cabinet refacing by an older woman, maybe late 60s, who would not leave us alone. We told her the same thing we tell everyone else, but she persisted. I finally had to tell for to please leave us alone. She followed us down the paint isle, still trying to talk to us. She asked if she could help us look for things in the store. I again asked her please leave us alone. She would not let up. We got farther away and she finally did. I cannot believe a store the caliber of Home Depot would employ this woman to hassle their customers as they try to shop. Sad.

In returning a product with obvious flaws, I was interrogated as to the reason for my return. I approached the return counter and was immediately asked "whats wrong with it?" This was without even a "good afternoon" or any greeting. This representative then went on to interrogate me about the return, which was complete in original packaging and matching receipt. She then proceeds to tell me about a similar product that they took back on return because the customer damaged it himself! Then why the interrogation about my obviously faulted product? Packaging hid the fault, so I didnt find it until I got home. She then asked where the bar code was on the packaging, which I didnt know. This was followed with, "you dont know where they scanned this when you bought it?" No, I dont, and in fact you can spare me the sarcastic attitude, because Ill be taking my business else where. Has this representative ever considered how this interaction appears from the customers perspective?

Came to this location, was constantly followed by employees the entire time, being it was late we could understand this. It was late so no one was in line but it still took 10 minutes at check out. Why? Because after constantly being asked how many boards were used to cut (and our answers were ignored by the employee who couldnt read the colored bar codes on plywood) she had to call over a manager (I believe this rude mans name was john) who again asked us about 3 times how many boards were cut and again we were blown off. So they finally called the man who cut the boards. The manager did NOT apologize for the wait or inconvience. And when we got home the boards werent even the right size!!! Employees need educated, and trained on what racial profiling is. After spending over $80 dollars for boards that werent even cut right were extreamly disappointed in the service here and we will be contacting corporate.

MOST of the employees are extremely knowledgeable in the departments they work in. A couple grumpy old men, but I expect nothing less out of Downingtown. Ive spoken to the GM a couple of times who was also extremely helpful. The first time I thought it was a random customer helping me load my car. Turns out it was the GM, great guy, super nice, and very helpful. Listens as well, if you have a complaint or a compliment and you run into him let him know, he wants to make sure youre experience in this particular store is a solid experience.

Bought some cabinets for our laundry room and were going to have Home Depot install them. After waiting weeks for the Home Depot installer to contact us and not hearing anything (even after several calls), we decided to get another company to do the job. When he came to install them, he found there were several pieces of molding that were not there, so I went back to the store to get them. Home Depot is making me pay to get the missing pieces that they didnt provide in the first place! Not very good customer service!

I have never been so disrespected in such a way before this evening. We went to purchase equipment via phone sale, and one of our guys who was scheduled to do work at a near by store over night, was pushed out of the store at 10:00 PM. In the middle of a phone sale, the gentleman ringing up the merchandise shut down his register. I am not sure if he was just in a rush or race played a factor. But we will not be returning to this Home Depot. As a resident in the Atlanta Area, I will be calling their Headquarters.
