I gave away my old couch and chairs because they werent a matching set, a decision I now regret. Admittedly, I LOVE the Briggs STYLE of our new Lazy Boy living room set purchased from Slumberland and delivered early December of 2015. By March, I noticed the head area on the far right seat (when facing the couch) was going flat. I tried to push the filling in the head area over to the other side of that particular seat, but it didnt work. In May, I called Lazy Boy, who directed me to contact Slumberland, who informed me that despite my one-year guarantee, they charge $39 to send someone (a local contractor) to take a look at it. The contractor tried pushing the fiber over from the outside, (as I did) but you could still visibly see the indentation in the pillow area where your head rests. He then removed the back, took a long needle and spent 10 minutes pulling fiber to that side of the pillow head area of that seat. He explained that the pillow head area on the couch was filled with what amounted to Dacron fiber (however Lazy Boy has their own name for it) and that I should rotate the individual backs of our couch and love seat on a regular basis to prevent this from happening again. This $2700 living room set is at most SIX months old. How often do they expect you to unscrew the individual backs of your couch / loveseat to switch them around? Seriously? I was so stunned, that I didnt think to ask him how often. Obviously, more often that every six months. Im still floored by this idea. Im 64 years old and Ive owned a few couches in my lifetime. Nothing like this was ever an issue with any of them. I am not a couch potato. I weigh 115 pounds. My husband weighs 165 pounds. According to Google, the average head weighs 10 pounds. I cant imagine a living room set being treated more gently. Im concerned about what lays ahead, after the year guarantee has past. I now wish Id done some research on Lazy Boy complaints rather than trusting the name and reputation of Lazy Boy. It looks good for now, but for how long? Buyer BEWARE.

we purchased a $2000 sofa. It arrived broken. Took 2 months and countless calls to "fix" it. Its still broken and no one will return our calls. Im tempted to load this piece of junk onto a trailer and drop it off in their showroom. Maybe then theyd answer me..... 6/15/15: Update. After months of dogged attempts to get this taken care of, they have finally agreed to take the sofa back and give us credit toward a new one. Hopefully a better quality and less frustrating experience than before!

My wife and I spent 15 minutes watching 6 to 8 employees standing around chatting in little groups. Not one person made eye contact or even acknowledged our presence. An older, well dressed couple walked in the door and were assisted after less than 20 seconds. We waited another 5 minutes watching them get the grand tour and we then left. On our way back to Slumberland to purchase a sleeper sofa today. Great service and zero discrimination.

The pricing this store offers is almost begging people to run away and shop elsewhere. Their sales are a joke, because they are always running, and even with the 20-30% off they are advertising, it is still hundreds of dollars more than Slumberland for the same products right down the street! I would not stop back here unless it was a "Going Out Of Business" sale!!!
