Compared to other salvation army stores, The prices here are much lower...however, dont waste your time coming here unless you have the willingness and a lot of time to sort through completely unorganized bins of everything. There is no real organization to any of it, none of the clothes or linens are hung up at all. As for the shoes, they are all randomly mixed together and piled on top of each other and many of them are in poor condition. For clothing only, this store allows returns within three days and only at this location. Most clothing items are $1, shoes are $3, not sure on prices for the rest of the items. I also noticed that some of the items piled together were wet. The only reason I rated the store with two stars instead of one was because the cashier was pleasant and the prices were low, but still not worth the low-quality and the hassle of shopping here. I will not be visiting again.

Accepted stolen goods for donation and when we called the store to report this, less than 2 hours after these items had been dropped off, we were told it would not be possible to recover these items. Because of this, we lost two boxes filed with decades of priceless family memories, stolen from us. The salvation army does good, there is no denying that, but this has overshadowed any "good" that could possibly be done. There is no excuse, and because of their policies and procedures, no one will be held responsible for our loss. Its disgusting.

When we buy something at Salvation Army, it makes us feel good. We also donate a lot as we know the money goes for a good cause. We use to stop at this Clarkston location on Sashabaw quiet often, usually to donate, but also buy something once in a while. Clerks has always been nice, friendly and respectful until today. Our cashier Agatha, the head cashier, treated us with complete degradation. She mustve call us sweetie and honey at least 15 times. It was very demeaning and unprofessional. Probably wont be back here for a while.

This store is the mothership of all the Salvation Army Thrift Shops. Clean. Organized. Well-lit. Public rest rooms. Well organized. A plus department for womens clothing ( size 16 and up ) and a Big and Tall for mens. Wednesday is Seniors Day with 25% just about everything for Seniors 55 or older. Thursday is student day. 25 % off with a valid student ID. Fridays and Saturdays are 5 for $5 on tag sales. Best deals in town. At 1-75 and Sashabaw. The deals are awesome even without these deals.

Living in Clarkston I enjoy a weekly visit to this store to see whats been taken in. They display it in an organized fashion. They have checked the electronic items and I must admit I love to go. Being only 55 I get to enjoy the senior savings on Wednesdays! But each day there is another type of savings offer. Compared to other thrift stores or even garage sales, you will find most items are dust free and arranged to see and sell.

Its a thrift store, you sell things that are given to you. Why is a sweater $35, a simple polo $15?? They price based on what they feel is a profitable brand. Which is understandable, but $35 for a sweater??? I may as well buy it new at the point. Prices are terrible for a second hand store. Salvation Army is usually always fair with pricing, but not this location. And clean your brathrooms every once in awhile please. :)

This is a great Salvation Army location. Because of where it is situated, I would say they get better than average donations. So, clothing is usually in better shape than elsewhere as well as other items. Its a great place to shop on a budget and you help others with your purchase.

Huge location with tons of items to see and look through. They are well organized here when it comes to the knick kacks. Not much furniture but tons of clothing. They have a nice high end section to look through and a ton of shoes. Parking here is a breeze.

This place is always fun to go to. I have been there a number of times . I always go looking for electronics and books. The electronics section never has anything but the books area always stacked high and 5 for $1!

Pretty good place, good selection of furniture if refinishing is your thing, not as crazy as the one in Rochester Mi. I thrift shop for classic cookware and furniture to refinish. Maybe one more half star.

Besides the poor organization and uncleanliness, this store is great. the staff are usually friendly and the selection is better than most thrift stores.

I visited a few over the years and this particular one seems the cleanest. Good selection. 5 books for $1. Go-to place to find something unique.

Big store. Well organized. Lots of stuff to look at. A bit overpriced in my opinion, but you can get a good deal on their sale days.
