Unethical..Stay Away! My wife died 4 days ago and before they took her body from our home I took off her wedding ring and squeezed it on my left little finger next to my own wedding ring. After 3 days my finger had swollen and I went to Shalimar to have it cut off and resized to fit my little finger so I could wear in memory of my wife. They charged me $45 to cut it off and measured my little finger and said I would need a size 9. They then said her ring was a size 7 and they would have to add a gold bar to increase it 2 sizes. The said the charge was to be $75, marked it on my pick up ticket and I agreed. The next morning they called and said that they made a mistake and the original ring was a size 5, not a size 7 and would cost an additional $75 for a total of $150. I questioned their tactics because it was their mistake, not mine if what they were saying is true. Im also suspicious its a scam because I might imagine squeezing on a ring 2 sizes smaller than my finger, but not 4 sizes smaller. Since I am mourning my wife and only wanted the ring back I said OK, went in, paid the $150 and picked up the ring. As I wore it for a few hours I realized that it was too big and there is a danger of slipping off so I called them, reminded them who I was and asked if they would charge me again to make it a little smaller since it didnt fit. Their response? "You picked the size not us!". Thats absolutely false! They measured my fingers with their tools and are supposed to be the experts and TOLD ME WHAT THE SIZES WERE. Its bad enough they doubled the price but its egregious that they then blame me for another one of their errors. Stay away from these predatory people. Karma will get them but I will now be paying a more reputable jeweler to fit this precious keepsake for me.

Shalimar isnt wheelchair-accessible and staff there were rude to my husband, who has CP. Theres a handicapped parking space, but no ramp. Theres a step up into the shop, and a double locked entrance--you shut the first door behind you, closing yourself into a small entry, before they buzz you into the showroom-- not easy for anyone with mobility issues! They were not helpful when my husband and I struggled in with his manual chair. We took a piece of moldovite (which is rather expensive) to Shalimar to ask if they could wire-wrap it; my husband wanted to wear it as a pendant. He didnt want the stone altered in any way. They said yes to wire-wrapping, but when we went back, theyd glued a large silver cap on to the top of our moldovite. Well have to take it elsewhere to have that removed. While we were still kind of in shock about that, we asked about purchasing a cord--not a chain--and the woman assisting us handed us a price list, then just walked away to work with a different customer. She wanted someone else in the store to deal with my husband, who has a speech impediment in addition to using the chair; blowing him off in favor of another customer was rude.

Took a watch in to be fixed in time for my grandmas funeral. I specifically asked if it could be done in a short time span and how long it would take. The guy told me a few hours. We purposely got there when it opened so this could be done at 10am. At 1:00pm I called after not hearing from them and they told me to get there at 2pm to pick it up. I arrived at 3pm and was told he was still working on it and it would be done by 5pm. Very unprofessional and untrustworthy. Sadly, the watch my grandmother purchased for me will not be worn to her funeral. Im so disappointed and frustrated and there werent even apologies.

Took my ring to get fixed, notice a diamond was missing . I came back lefted it their , they charge me $10 for their mistake. I picked it up the next day and when i lefted i looked at the ring real good and the diamond still missing, never got fixed . I took it to the pawn shop to make sure it was missing ,it was and they told me one of the diamonds was fake. I wouldnt recommend no one to buy their, u pay top dollar for bad quality. Best to go to Jareds where they have a lifetime warranty,that is where iam taking my business from now on.You been warn!!!!

The Best! I am so happy with my rings and so impressed that I will not go anywhere else. Shalimar Jewelers in Temple Terrace are the Best around. The staff there are wonderful and so helpful. They restored 3 of my rings. I had one in 3 pieces and they restored it like new again! My moms band restored too. So happy!! Thank You Shalimar Jewelers! Great service!

I got my ring thickened so it would stop bending when I sleep. after a few changes and tweekes to match my vision the jewler re-polished the ring & it looked better and the gold added was even. I like the 22kt selection they have very beautiful and moderately priced.

Bought a LR44 battery from them. They charged $12!!! Did a search and found the battery sells for .50 cents to $1. If they would over charge a batter 12X, this about the other products they sell.....what are you really getting for your money???

the location on fletcher is horrible, the jewelry breaks and they charge you to fix it, about two weeks after its "fixed" its breaks again
