This dealership screwed me on my trade in about 6 months ago. I had dealt with a salesman over the phone and emailed him detailed pics of my trade in vehicle to try and get an appraisal over the phone, since I lived over 2 hrs away. He gave me a price that I thought was kind of low but they explained to me due to the influx of used f150 s on the market they couldnt give me even close to kbb value on a 3 yr old truck with fairly low miles. I fell for it hook line and sinker, mostly because I really liked the truck I was gonna look at. So I set up an apt to make the 2 hr drive with a family member to go look @ the truck and make the deal, I would have priced shopped a little more but I felt the price they were asking for the truck they were selling me was good, I had arranged a full tank of gas and the Def fluid to be topped off with my salesman as part of the deal. I got there a little late that evening to make the deal due to road construction in the cities, I gave the sales manager my keys to test drive my truck and I went for a drive in the truck I was interested in. I couldnt believe they never cleaned and detailed the truck before I came up there. There was grass clipping and dust and grime everywhere in the truck I was looking @. I talked to the salesman and he said they didnt have time clean the truck before I got there even tho they had had the truck for a few weeks and I had a deposit down to come look @ the truck for a few days..... but they couldnt clean it! They also had not filled the tank or topped off the Def, when I talked to the salesman they made a big deal about it and finally filled the tank with fuel after complaining about it. I was dealing with a different salesman than I had talked to over the phone. That was when the sales manager came in and offered me 1500 less than they had already low balled me on , because I had blacked out headlights and taillights that they already had pics of originally.... so they offered me 27500 for my truck that was blue book value almost 10000 higher. After thinking about it I ended up doing the deal, because I really liked the truck I was looking at, and I had a hard time finding a truck that matched what I was looking for in the area, also I had already drove 2 hrs to look at it with the intentions to buy already, and they knew that and took advantage of it . The funny thing is they told me they would have to mark my truck way down due to the market in the cities @ the time, and would have to order new headlights and tail lights from Ford which he thought would cost 2000. But they had it on their website cleaned up the very next day with no new parts or anything listed for 10000 more than they gave me for it...... so they sold me a truck that was never cleaned and they never followed through with their part of the deal on, they completely screwed me on the trade, and than sold my trade in a few months later for way more than they told me they could even list it for. Dont deal with stealership, they lie and lie and lie .

Unfortunate experience and lack of comunication - this was the second fleet vehicle I had delivered to this dealer and have had fleet maintenance done at this location for the last three years with a prior vehicle. I had made an appointment to pickup a new vehicle recently and showed up at the agreed upon time to find out the vehicle was not ready due to an employee out sick and not communicating to others at the dealer of this appointment and delivery. Waconia Dodge was to have cleaned the vehicle and get the license plates installed prior to delivery. I arrrived at the dealer and my contact was out, then was referred to Heidi Strong (Dealer New Car Manager) who knew nothing of my appointment. I stood outside her office door and she looked at me as if I was interrupting her - no greetings, no getting out of her chair to talk to me, she said she would look into to this and asked me to come back later. I went out to lunch and came back, the vehicle was not fully cleaned (windows smeared and a fair amount of lint and contamination on the seats and carpet) and no license plates. I asked Heidi if the dealer would extend a courtesy discount to me for purchasing interior floor mats that day from their parts department for this new vehicle due to the lack of communication on their end, the inconvenience to me that took nearly 4 hours out of my work schedule as well as the fact I then had to pay for a lunch I was not planning on for the day. Heidi decline to provide any courtesy discounts to me for this experience. I find it difficult to understand that the dealer does not have a master delivery calendar with information to help coordinate these activities to help foster internal commuincations. Needless to say I will have difficulty recomending this dealer and Heidi Strong to others in the future and will make my corporate and fleet manager aware of the issues with this delivery.

I have always been a Chevy guy and have been working with the same local dealer for over 10 years. However when I decided to buy my first 1500 truck, I wanted to look at all my options. I heard through several friends that Waconia was a very good dealership to work with and decided to pay them a visit. Chris Weinberger came out to greet me and was low key and not high pressure at all. He started by asking me my needs and requirements. He made sue that he was presenting me with options that targeted these needs and not more or less. Chris was also very patient and answered all of my questions, even if the competitions product was better in that area. Once we established what I needed, we discovered that Waconia didnt have a RAM truck to match them. Chris spend a fair amount of time searching the system fo one that was as close to my needs as possible and found it at another dealership. He quickly had it brought in within a day. The negotiation process was almost non-existent. Chris and the team were upfront about what they could do and this matched exactly what I found with my online research. They also provided financing options that were better and more cost effective than what I found on my own. Once I accepted delivery, Chris showed his knowledge of the product by review every feature (and there are a lot of them) on the 1500. He even followed up a few weeks later to see if there were things I discovered that I needed help with. In addition, Chris introduced me around the service department and made sure I was comfortable with the process for when I need to bring the truck in for service. I cannot speak highly enough of my experience with Chris Weinberger and the whole Waconia Dodge organization. This is an excellent dealership and I will be returning for service and future purchases.
