If I could give 10 stars I would! Me and my wife were looking for a GMC Acadia for quite sometime! We were looking for months just to get started! Well we go the money all saved up and started looking really good past week! I looked real good on Monday late night 07/17/17 and found one here and another place! I called Bob Brown Chevrolet and Mike Carley answered the phone on Tuesday 07/18/17 I told him what the deal was that we lived 2 hours and 45 mins away and I wanted to know what his bottom dollar on the Acadia would be and that he was competing with another dealership! Mike said let me physically see if its on the lot and call you back in 20 mins well 10 mins later he called back and said yes he had and with a great price! I told them I wanted to talk to the other place and I would call my wife cuz she was at work he told me to get back to him so he could hold it! Well got a hold of my wife and never heard back from the other guys at all! So I called Mike back and said ok hold it for us we will be on our way around 330 he said that is fine he would save it for us and wait for us to arrive! Also told him on the phone and through text message from my wife all the information we needed so that the paperwork wouldnt be a hassle at all since we had to drive back that night if we bought it after we test drove it! Mike Carley checked on us cuz of rain storm in Iowa City we told him we were fine and delayed a little and would be there in 50 mins! As soon as we pulled in we saw the Acadia where it had a welcome sign on it with our names on it wow were we shocked and tickled about that! We looked at the outside before going in and no one bug us while doing it! We walked in ask for Mike finally met the man we heard on the phone and text messages! What a great all around guy as soon as we got there! Mike let us all look around in it before our test drive, then off to the test drive where we wanted him to come with us since so my wife could drive it and he took us on a long ride and then a place where I could as well! Then Mike helped show all the features we didnt know about and test them out like auto hatch, how all the seats went down in the back! Everything on the remote, etc etc real hands on and very knowledgeable! We wanted so he took us back to his office took the insurance card then sent us to Dan Dunham the finance guy where he had all our paperwork ready and had it hassle free like we asked he was a superb! Everything was amazing and on point and everything we wanted! I drove the truck home and she followed loving every minute of her new car! Mike even called us today Wednesday 07/19/17 to ask how everything was, the drive and how we liked it amongst other things!!! Never had that!!! Mike Carley is an outstanding guy that went above and beyond to make us happy and get us in the car my wife has always wanted! Other dealerships should take from this in that area and in ours cuz hands down the best sales person, finance guy and dealership I have ever dealt with in my life! I would recommend this place, Dan Dunham and especially Mark Carley to anyone! You guys are amazing!

I took my wifes GMC Acadia in for what I believed should have been a simple fix - the front blower wasnt working. Turned out to be a nearly $500 repair because the blower motor "took out" the the control module or vice-versa...some load of crap or another if you ask me. One component "taking out" another and viola, now you need both components replaced. Im sure if I had the time and did a little research online I probably could have saved myself about $250 but, I relented and let them do the work. I guess they have to pay for the big new campus some how. Not only that, but there were about 4 other costly repairs that they happened to identify while it was in. How convenient considering we are just over 61,000 miles on a 60,000 mile warranty...suddenly the thing if falling apart! Weve had no end of trouble with this GMC Acadia since we bought it. Frankly, its a $47,000 pile of crap if you ask me. We are two payments away from owning it and I will be looking at trading it in for something in the near future. I can tell you this, however, I will never purchase a GMC again and I will never purchase another vehicle from Bob Brown. Update: Out of curiosity I did some quick research on Amazon and found both parts for under $100 total: 15-81638 GM Original Equipment Heating and Air Conditioning Blower Control Module - $18.99 plus free shipping with Amazon Prime TYC 700236 Replacement Blower Assembly - $47.41 plus free shipping with Amazon Prime Went out to YoutTube and easily found a number of videos that showed how to change both components and neither looked difficult at all. Id guess even someone like myself with no experience in ever having changed either of these components could complete the job in less than an hour. Point is, going to a car dealer to have these kinds of repairs done simply doesnt make sense in this day and age. Parts are easily accessible online at a fraction of the cost that a dealer will charge you and there are plenty of step-by-step videos that show you how you can make the repairs yourself with tools that most everyone has available in their toolbox. Even if you dont, you could easily buy the tools and STILL be money ahead. I feel pretty stupid for letting the service tech convince me that this work needed to cost this much. I should have known better though. Another dealer wanted $265 to change the spark plugs on my sons Honda Accord. I purchased the plugs at NAPA for around $55, bought an extension for my socket set and we changed all the plugs in less than hour. I wont make this kind of $400 mistake again.

I drove 75 miles to look at a car. When I get there I find it has 2 huge rock chips in windshield and a cut in lower fender, where it meets the door. The door had rust where it had been rubbing the fender. Strange for a 2012. It also had broken weatherstripping on both rear door side windows. I asked to have it all fixed and the manager got angry and said if I wanted all that fixed there would be no deal. I settled on having the fender, door, windshield fixed. I took the car home and returned it to have it fixed. I received a call that it was done. I go to pick it up to find they had messed up the plastic molding under the fender. It was now yellowish, on a silver car. The undercoating on the fender ran and discolored the molding. I cant understand how no one saw this before they called me. The salesman said it looked great when he called me. The salesman was not there, so I asked the receptionist who I could talk to. She pointed me to the managers office. I stood in the door and said hi, one guy was on the phone and the other just sitting there. Neither person acknowledged me. The receptionist called me back after she noticed me still standing in the door way after 5 minutes. She had the salesman on the phone. I told him what was going on he said he would fix the problem. I hung up the phone and turn around to see the receptionist and manager whispering to each other. She then asks me if everything was ok, I said I would like to show the car to a manager. So I showed it to a manager and they said they would fix it. So 3 days later the salesman calls and says he told the place they took the car, that it looked like crap and they need to re paint the molding. He says its ready to pick up and looks great. I go to get it again on a Sunday, I find that the molding was NOT painted. They tried to buff it out, but I can still see it. If I didnt know it was there I might not notice. I was told it was painted and it was not. Being a Sunday no one was there, so I just took the car home. Total miles I drove to supposedly have this car fixed was 3 trips and 450 miles. The car should have NEVER been put on the lot in that condition. I have NO faith in the 172 point inspection. The certified technician checked off that the windshield, fender, door were OK. So if he couldnt see huge rock chips and a hole in the fender how can I trust any of the other things that he supposedly checked. This has been the worst purchase I have ever made. I will never be back and I will use social media to let everyone know what I went through.
