We searched and searched for the vehicle we ended up buying from Jim Dorn..we drove all the way there from WI and 1 of only 2 reasons I give him the 1 star compared to 0 is he waited for us to get there after hours..when we arrived there was a noise in the motor..we were told that it was one specific problem and would be easy and cheap to repair but their mechanic didnt want to deal with it so against our better judgement we bought it..reason 2 that he got 1 star..he filled the gas tank for us before our 5 hour drive home because we live in WI we couldnt title it there we had to wait until we got home..and he asked that we send a copy of the tittle to him to show we registered it..I dont know how it works in Minnesota but in Wisconsin you send the tittle in and it takes at least 2-3 weeks to get it back which wasnt fast enough for Mr dorn..he began calling and leaving nasty voicemails..threaten to come get the car which would be stealing..when I got the title I sent the copy and he had the nerve to send me a thank you note..ugh..so I took the car to my mechanic which happens to be my uncle so I trust him 100%..turns out that little noise they said would be an easy fix... $2,000 worth of work..we obviously dont have that kind of money sitting around..and so this car is sitting in my driveway and has been since September of last year..I would never..NEVER recommend this place to anyone..and wish those who have had to deal with them good luck and hopefully you can find a good mechanic!

He sold me a used Ford F150 with many assurances that everything works perfectly. While driving it home i noticed an ominous knock in the engine that was accompanied shortly by a drop in the oil pressure gauge. I took the truck back to Jim as soon as he was able to meet me. He made light of the knocking sound, saying that he is sure the truck will last a long time. He offered to change the oil pump for me and install a new sensing unit for the oil gauge, but at my own cost. I had five mechanics listen to the knocking sound and the consensus was that it is from a bad engine bearing. Jim was unwilling to do anything about the truck without charging me for it. He even tried to blame the knocking sound on me because he heard me rev the engine while it was parked. Jim is handling the fact that he sold me a truck with a serious engine problem in the most unprofessional and dishonest way, and i advise anyone to stay far away from this man as he is not to be trusted.

As a person who doesnt know much about cars and this was my first car purchase, Jim made my experience easy and enjoyable. The car I bought was in great condition and he was upfront and honest with all the issues. He even took care of a lot of the issues for me before the purchase. Jim is so genuine and knows what he is doing since he has been doing this job for 40+ years. I would highly consider him to anyone looking to purchase a car.
