Hands down worst car buying experience of my entire life and i wish this were an exaggeration. I bought my Tacoma brand new zero miles I havent owned this vehicle for 8mo. It started with going in for service and having it returned with dirty hand prints all over the interior which I didnt make a big deal of I just cleaned again. I then took my truck in for a tire plug at which time the wheel was damaged in the tire removal. They sent the tire out for repair in and kept my truck for a full day in which i had to make other arrangements for no fault of my own. The rim returned 10 minutes before closing in worse condition then it had left the clear coat was still tacky and had dirt and other contaminants stuck in it. So the service manager said he would order a new wheel and just replace it. Fast forward 1-2wks later I arrange to pay for an undercoating to be done while they put on the replacement wheel to kill two birds with one stone. They bring the truck out at the end of the day I check the work and discussed with the service manager that the undercoating had been oversprayed onto rocker panels of a white truck. He said that they could get it off so once again im upset I pay and am on my way to leave and I notice the front end had been hit. The tech had apparently hit something in the shop and nobody had bothered to mention it now I am furious because my bumper needs repainted and its a brand new truck. The service manager Phillip says he will make arrangements to repair it and it then goes in that upcoming Tuesday. Now Charles Gabus has had my new vehicle for 2wks and have tried several times and unsuccessfully to recreates the texture/ finish of the part of the bumper that has been attempted to be repaired. I was supposed to get an update from the service manager 6/25/2015 and was never called. So I decided to investigate for myself I went to ford where the truck has not moved since the previous week. I decided i would inspect the inside since I noticed something have been moved around from passenger seat etc. An employee for some reasons unknown to me removed a bottle of car wax from the floor and put on the brand new cloth seat. What do you suppose happened next? exactly leaked on my new car seats that have never even been sat in. Why it was moved from the floor to the seat in the first place i do not know why they would be messing with stuff behind the front seats for a repair theyre doing on a bumper. Maybe it was used? I have no clue. So here I am still waiting and obviously pissed I havent spent this much time writing since I was in college if that tells you how mad/ passionate I am about this. I spent a lot of hard earned money on this truck this is my investment that I cant believe someone would treat like this. I have had great experiences with sales at Toyota as well as Charles Gabus Ford. But at this point I want freed of this vehicle and of the worries i will have to endure every time i need the vehicle serviced in the next 5 years. I would like Toyota to buy this vehicle back.

Toyota of Des Moines apparently has high expectations of its employees and of its business. On 28 Oct 2015, I acquired a 2015 Toyota RAV4 XLE AWD (2nd Rav4). I didnt hesitate on which dealership in my local area where I wanted to do business! On a very hot summer day back on 28 Aug 2013, I went to Toyota of Des Moines and was very impressed from the receptionist at the front desk to driving away in my new vehicle to the follow-up calls and e-mails. This first impression is why I will continue to use Toyota of Des Moines as my dealership of choice! Also, the reason why I have and will continue to recommend Toyota of Des Moines to friends, family, and colleagues. This experience resulted in no deviations from the high ratings I had for this place. As usual, I contacted Shane Siegle to help me decide on the options I had. He is TRULY EXCEPTIONAL in his knowledge, advice, and customer service skills. He is a big reason why I dont hesistate on using Toyota of Des Moines. Ryan McClanahan in finance is also, TRULY EXCEPTIONAL. Very efficient and answered questions to my satisfaction. Finally, Mr. Bill Klomstad (Delivery Coordinator) is TRULY EXCEPTIONAL. Again, it was 2013 when I found out there were dealerships that had a designated area and staff to explain the vehicle from front to back. Klomstad did his usual, TRULY EXCEPTIONAL job at explaining everything. I appreciate the way the Rav4 was prepared prior to my possession. Thank you for the picture in front of my new Rav4 that was sent to me by e-mail. A couple of days after the possession of my new Rav4, I received a follow-up call from Dot Ray (Customer Service Representative) mainly asking how things were going. Also, I received an e-mail from Shane Siegle. I know I will receive additional follow-up calls/e-mails in the future. This is really great customer service and has always proved to me that I wasnt just a number. After my first purchase, I wasnt expecting this from a large, busy dealership. I strongly feel (based upon experiences in the past with Toyota of Des Moines) they will do whatever they can to assist their customers. Until next time........ Thank you, again, to Siegle, McClanahan, Klomstad, and Ms. Ray. Also, to Toyota of Des Moines for its TRULY EXCEPTIONAL job for their customer service; employees they have; vehicle selection; and moving to Grimes (which is closer to me). I recommend Toyota of Des Moines and the Toyota brand. I have found them to be very reliable!!

Hi I had Nissan 2012 and thought of trading it and went to Toyota of desmoines, Grimes. I traded it for FJ Cruiser Radiant Red. I traded on May 31st 2016 and took FJ Cruiser on the same evening. The next day June 1st 2016 I was going to work and the steering is shaking vigorously when I drive it on 50mph to 70mph on freeway. I called immediately to sales man and he said to show it in service. I gave it to service department on June 1st June. Again I contacted them on 2nd June and they said it will be done on Friday. I reached them again and they said our mechanics can’t fix it and their senior mechanic is going to come on Tuesday 7th June 2016. I again went on Tuesday and they didn’t fix it so listening to this I said I want to cancel the deal. All these days I was without car after buying Cruiser FJ for 28670$. They said ok. But when they gave me back my Nissan they charged me 1700$ more on my Nissan which is not my mistake. They sold me FJ which is Toyota certified and which they can’t fix the problem after keeping it with them for 7 days which is their mistake. But Manager Paul screwed me with 1700 dollars more. When I read in forms there are lot of FJ cruisers which Toyota recalled due to same problem but they tried to sell the issue FJ to me. For All these only I am screwed 1. Lot of credit inquires 2. 1700 more I paid to get my own car back. 3. I have to pay more again for loan on the whole which would be 2000$. 4. I was without car for 10 days. Manager paul from Toyota, Grimes Des Moines and the Toyota of desmoines is completely Commercial. They just want to screw the customers even for their mistakes. My question is how many of the people can stay calm on these issues. They literally stole me. I used to have lot of trust on Toyota but with this incident I lost the trust and I am never going back to them and I will not support any of my family or friends to go visit this store. This store is all of bunch of commercial people who are all greedy even the mistake is on their side. I literally bought my own car for 3700 $ more. Earlier it was 10200 with bank loan and now its 13800 with loan. AJ Not even 1 star but no other option. Met General Manager and figured out a solution. It was not 100 percent but got convinced with talking to him.
