Every time I walk in this store I get 5 feet in the door and someone working there asks me what I am looking for. I tell them. The employee walks me right to the products, explains the choices, I pick up what I need and and out of the door in 10 minutes. They have always had what I need, although I am sure they will not always have what every one needs. If I tell them I need a second item they in turn walk me to the second item. I do not waist time looking for the items and end up buying stuff I did not intend to buy and end up walking away without the item I really wanted in the first place. I really like this store. I know if I go there finding and purchasing what I need will be easy! If no one asks me what I want in 1 minute or 2, I just stand near the entrance until they can help me. Lots of parking around the store too.

Came in to have a towel rack cut to fit in our apartment. I went to Home Depot and Lowes and was told they couldnt trim off 1/2 inch of a towel rod. I was even willing to pay for it to be cut, because it would be a lot cheaper than buying a saw. Its flimsy metal and would have been simple. This Ace Hardware was more than happy to help, and even did it for free. The service was great. Id go here before ever going to Lowes or Home Depot again.

I have nothing but good to say about the Ace store in Ferndale. From the moment I walked it there were very knowledgable staff that answered all my questions and hooked me up with what I needed. The selection the store maintains and the quality of service I received will definitely keep me coming back.

Store always has new employees; a steady stream of employees illustrates a basic level of incompetency on the part of the owners. Although I have occasionally had excellent service in the store... Those employees did not last. True Value has an excellent relationship with their staff and community.

I shop often at this store and I consider it the best Ace Ive ever been to. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and always willing to help. They almost always have exactly what Im looking for and if for some odd reason they dont have what I need, they tell where I can find it.

It is a high quality store but my only problem is the times it is open. If it was open till 8:00 pm I will go to the their cash register much more often.
