I lost my receipt, I always was treated right for 22 years and in the past there was no problems. Untill I wanted to return extension cords. the staff refused to give me my money this was unacceptable to me I paid with cash.I want my money back, they told me no the True Value policy with out a recipe no money back this enraged me.they ended up telling me that they would call the police I said go ahead, then the superviser came and talked with me gave me a gift card a True Value ..told to cash it out at coin star. so I go to Safeway the machine will not take True Value gift cards I call True Value supervisor was hung up on three times and then I told the True Value Falls supervisor that Safeway -coin star will not work I had to have Safeway supervisor tell Falk True Value it will not take the gift card agine was hung up on I had to call agine ,then was told to go to Wal-Mart no luck there coin star wont take Falls True Value gift card I call the Falls TRUE Value and begged please give me my money she said no, so I went home drugged through the apartment complex trash found the receipt. this was all for 25.00 please for the love of God and Country stop treating your costumers like frauds so a BIG FAT THANK YOU FALK TRUE VALUE HARDWARE STORE.

I have been buying from Falk Hardware for decades. I had bought paint while it was ACE. When I went to purchase the same as before, including the same color. Falk had become True Value. They made the matching semi-gloss. When I hired a painter to roll a section of my house, we were surprised to find the color much lighter than the color provided and even different that the little spot they had on the gallon can. After a few days, the painter said it never gotten darker as it should have happened. When I brought the can back and compared it to the older paint, it was different. The person at the store wouldnt make the wrong color match and wanted me to buy another can with difference color. You may assume the first star means "terrible," I wont bu y there anymore.

I too, have been a happy Falk customer for over 20 years. The stock was remarkable, staff professional and friendly. But this recent changeover has served them poorly. The last time I was in, looking for a couple of simple but crucial parts, three new young people were running the place. Neither of the men offered to help me find anything, and the apparent-manager brushed past me to the back room, saying "I locked the front door, well have to let you out," then went into the back room and turned off the lights! It was still a few minutes before the hour, I was not detaining them. In a store that has been a pleasant part of so many of our lives for so long, this was shocking and disappointing. How sad.

Great service. I went to Home Depot looking for a specific fastener, which they did not have. Decided last minute to try True Value. As soon as I walked in I was welcomed and the gentlemen asked if he could help me find anything. He was able to find my fasteners right away and also gave me tips on a sink repair job I had going on in my own home. He also suggested a repair kit you guys carry for my faucet. He was a great help! Best customer service experience I have had in many months. I believe his name tag said Charles, he knows his stuff. I will be a repeat customer!

I was doing a DIY home brewing project and needed some presumably simple plumbing parts. I went to 3 BigBox hardware stores, standing literally for hours scouring their giant wall of plumbing but they never had quite what I needed and the folks in the orange vests were no help. After reading these reviews I thought, what the heck, I`ll give Falk a try and I was amazed. I was greeted warmly by an owner family member who pointed me to the correct isle and 5 minutes later I walked out with exactly what I needed. Falk will be the first place I go to for hardware needs from now on.

I have nothing against Home Depot (which is close also), however, the people at ACE are very helpful and they have virtually everything you are usually gonna need anyway. Prices are competitive too. really! You will have people actively coming up to you to make sure you find what you need or want. If they happen to not have it - they will be sure to help you find a place that does have it. A+ The Salsa Market next door is great especially for fresh fruits and vegetables.

LOVE this place. Its got all the usual things youd find at a chain hardware (True Value?), but also rows and rows of additional hard-to-find fasteners and other unique hardware items and tools. The service is great, too. Family-owned and operated, I believe. Check it out next time you need tools, hardware, housewares or garden-related things in the Beaverton area.

Where they dont have the extensive volume of building materials that the big boxes do, their selection of fasteners and hardware is unparalleled. Its the first place we go when looking for that particular or specific item to complete a job.
