Today I purchased a Victor "Out O Sight" mole trap to catch a pesky mole. I currently have two of these, needed another, and know how to set them. This one would not set correctly, so I returned it to exchange it for "Poison Peanuts" mole-killing bait. Apparently they wanted to prove me wrong, and asked me to follow them back to the service desk, so someone could verify that it was defective. The person that was to verify it said that he had never set one before, and proceeded to fumble around and bend the trigger plate. I noticed this, and he said that he was trying to verify that it was defective. I said "you just bent it!", and he said "fine, just exchange it, I dont want to cause a scene". Ive had quite a few similar issues with this store, and WILL NOT be a returning customer. I highly recommend the Scappoose ACE store, which has competent & knowledgable assistants, without the the annoying in-ear communications devices of the St. Helens store.

My partner and I have purchased goods here many times for the last four months since moving to the area. Today we went in as usual, bought many items, one being a small, delicate light bulb for my vehicle. At the register, the cashier handed it to us instead of placing it in a bag, my partner handed it to me, I put it in my pocket. Next thing you know, an employee follows us out to our car and writes our license down. We stopped to inquire what was up and were told they believed we had performed some sort of "suspicious activiity" . Communication, people. What terrible customer service to not only not remember AT THE REGISTER that the said $1.49 light bulb had indeed been purchased, but then to stalk the customer out the door seconds later, and who knows, possibly flag us in the future, FOR NO REASON.

Been going to this store for a very long time and have never had a bad experience. Customer service has always been good and they have always been friendly and eager to help. Sorry to hear that some people have had a bad experience, Ive always gone into the store with a pleasant attitude and recieved the same in return. Usually get what you give, I believe if you go into a place with a good attitude youll get the same in return, same goes for a bad one. Have a great day!

Went to get Neem Oil that I know they carry at other stores, when I asked about ordering some when they didnt have any the woman inside was rude and told me I should just drive to the Ace in Portland where I have bought it before. Wish I had gotten her name big blonde woman. Dont go to this location. They will not treat you well. I will not be going back.

I shop here several times a week as a I maintain a 100 yr old apartment building in town. They have a wonderful selection of hardware and household items at reasonable prices and a staff that is always available and helpful.
