THIS MAY BE LONG BUT I SUGGEST READING THIS!! I purchased a vehicle from Footh Auto on 09/17/2015. Within 2.5 hours of driving the vehicle over heated due to the AC compressor going out and also popped a couple tranny lines. I was stuck in the middle of the night with my kids in a parking lot of al mall. I called the tow and took a cab to go pick up a car rental. In the midst of this I had left a voicemail for Dave with Footh Motors with the events that occurred. Footh motors open at 9am cst... Dave called me no later than 9:10am and by that afternoon he had scheduled to have my vehicle towed to a shop they have a relationship with and also set aside a loaner car for me to use so that I could stop paying for the rental, on top of this they (Footh Motors) offered to reimburse me for not only the cost of the tow but the rental vehicle as well. When all was said and done the warranty company lacked all sorts of follow through, they didnt call me with updates and they didnt contact the auto shop either. After four days of my vehicle sitting untouched I called Dave and left him a voicemail expressing my frustrations. Following that call, later that evening, the owner, Ben Footh, called me directly and told me that he had, had enough with the lack luster effort and that he will get to the bottom of this all for me. He was going to call the warranty company himself! By the following morning the warranty work was (partially) approved and the vehicle was being worked on. By the end of it all the repairs ended up being almost $1200.00. I paid NOTHING nor was I asked to provide a cent! Footh Auto got my car picked up on their dime, gave their time to deal with the warranty company, borrowed me a loaner car that I got to keep until the very day I picked up my vehicle, and they covered every penny that the warranty company denied to pay. The only work I had to do was the work I did the day of the incident. I have never felt so at ease and taken care of by an Auto Sales shop like I was by these great men! People must understand that Footh Auto is in no way required to assist nor pay for any repairs needed after the time of sale due to you purchasing a vehicle in AS IS condition. It is clearly explained verbally and on paper that the warranty you purchase is from a third party and that Footh is not affiliated to the warranty company what-so-ever. What these men did for me was out of being family orientated and stand up individuals. I will always be grateful to these men for what they did for me and my family. Dave, Ben and Deacon are some of the most humble and human sales men I have ever met. - Dave always answered his phone or called me right back - I never had to bargain, ask or demand to have anything paid for by them - Ben, the owner, called me on his own to check in on the issues - I was not forced to pay for the loaner vehicle - The loaner vehicle ( 2006 Ford five hundred) had NOT ONE issue, the engine ran great!, looks good on the inside and spacious, has a booming six cd changer stereo system. This loaner solidified the fact that NO Footh Motors does not purposely sell you vehicles that do not run or break down quickly. It just so happened to happen to my vehicle and they took care of it, they took care of me and most importantly they took care of my family! - They were always kind, never rude and I never felt “avoided”

I want to say a few words about the excellent service and GREAT car I bought from Footh Auto Sales. I normally dont write reviews, but after reading Georges "review" I felt I HAD TO write one. First, George, yes brake pads do wear out after 30,000 miles. Sounds like he took care of the issue, but YOU WANT permanent brake pads for life!!!! When I was down at Footh Auto, I actually heard a buyer asking Ben to cover a broken windshield from a car the guy bought 30 days earlier. And NO, the windshield was NOT broken when he bought the car. He admitted as much to Ben. If this is the kind of moronic ideas running through peoples heads, I truly feel sorry for Ben & his staff. To anyone reading these reviews, dont listen to idiots like George, if you want a dependable used car at an excellent price, stop down to Footh Auto Sales you WONT BE DISAPPOINTED!!!! (Unless of course you want car repairs for life, like our mentally challenged friend "George") If you want to pay 3,000-4,000 more dollars, go to any of the dealers up the street, their overhead is higher and so are the prices. Footh Auto Sales has ALWAYS done right by me and numerous friends & family Ive sent down to Ben and his excellent staff.!!!!!

So I just want to start out by saying dont judge a business by there workers or in this case sales people. I commented on a post of footh motors about 6 weeks ago on facebook and described one of the worst experiences I have ever had with and dealership. I wont go into much detail about it. Long story short after commenting the next morning I had a personal message from Ben Footh himself asking more details about the incident. After a brief conversation he let me know that the person I had dealt with had been released from his company for similar things. He then apologized for my band experience and asked for my address so he could mail me a check for the money I had lost. I honestly didnt think he would really send it. Well sure enough about 3 weeks later I had a check in the mail for that amount. Keep in mind this happened over 5 or 6 years prior to this conversation between Ben and myself. I mean thats unheard-of. Most places would have said so and done nothing. I was mistaken and judged the business instead of the salesman. Thank you for being such an amazing person and an honest business for people to trust! I will definitely remember this and keep you guys in mind for my next purchase. Thanks Ben!

Do not buy a car from Footh motors! I bought a car there in 2010 and the brakes were bad so Ben offered to take $300 dollars off the price of the car or he would have new brakes installed. As it turns out he had the work done at Firestone in West St. Paul however he provided the brake shoes and chose the absolute cheapest ones possible. They are worn at only 30K miles and Firestone cant cover them under warranty as Ben provided the parts. When I called Ben regarding the brakes I got voicemail and the dealership never returned my calls. After 3 attempts I finally got through and Ben told me there was nothing he could do, he provided the brakes and it wasnt his fault they were already worn out. Furthermore Ben failed to disclose that the car I purchased was a repo and I didnt find that out until I got the repo paperwork in the mail. The car has been nothing but trouble and if you buy from Ben Footh you have no recourse. So seriously please do not make the same mistake I made, go elsewhere. No matter how good a deal you seem to be getting, you will end up paying a lot more in the long run.
