Today I drove off with an almost new 2013 Hyundai Elantra (it had low mileage) and I couldnt be more happy! Mike was honest, funny and down-to-earth and NEVER displayed that sleazy sales pitch you get at most big dealerships. I specifically went with Stillwater Auto Sales because I like that its family owned, authentic and Im all for supporting my community. Mike suggested that particular car, showed me the hail damage (which I honestly didnt think it was that bad) and basically gave me the full 411. Im not picky on cars as long as it gets me from point A to point B, no accidents, few previous owners and low mileage. I mean the car looks almost new inside and out. I was super impressed how Mike was so upfront with everything even explaining what a "salvage title" is since I was new to that terminology. Never once did I feel he was trying to upsell me or pressure me into getting a car out of my budget. Im a super happy customer and I HIGHLY recommend going to this family dealership. If you want a no-bs but a caring group of guys whos there to help find the best car for your situation and budget, then they are the people to go through. Seriously, if you dont mind some hail damage you can get a car thats only a few years old with low mileage at a great price. I dont think you can find better deals anywhere else. We purchased a 2014 Honda CRV from Mike last week. The vehicle came with a salvage title and was discounted appropriately. Mike had pictures of the vehicle before repairs were made so I knew the severity of damage. He also pulled up the Carfax report and we walked through the vehicles history. I took the vehicle to "Jeff the Alignment Guy" in Golden Valley (highly recommend him as well) and he discovered the steering knuckle was bent. Definitely accident related per the pictures Mike had shared with me. I dont blame Stillwater Auto for missing it as it only was detectable on an alignment rack. I called Stillwater Auto this morning with the news and Daryl, Mikes dad and business partner, apologized and asked, "What can we do to make it right?". I asked them to cover the cost of the knuckle ($140), Id pay for the labor and alignment. He said, "Well send you a check" and then apologized again for missing the issue. Thats a dealer Id buy another car from and why I give them 5 stars.

I went in and financed a car through my personal bank. They didnt tell me that the pumps under the hood for the windshield liquid needed replacing. The man who I talked with wasnt professional, didnt seem or look professional what so ever. I got a Chrysler Sebring and Ive only had it for about a year and a half and the transmission is already shot. I wouldnt ever go back to them to purchase any vehicle.

Car-buying experience could not have been better. The owner spent a long time with me (on his day off) just to answer my questions and make sure I understood all the aspects of my selection. He did not rush me in order to just make a sale and he even pointed out a couple flaws in the vehicle that I had not noticed. I really appreciated the great service, and I love my new car!

I am really happy to have this place nearby, because they have mostly salvage cars, and they do a good job of having pretty good prices. I have almost purchased from them multiple times, although it just hasnt happened yet. I dont know if I have dealt with the same guy each time, over the phone and in person, but he definitely isnt pushing the cars onto you.
