The most terrible experience with carmax on Thornton Rd.. Me and my family we felt very discriminated against carmax.. We spent over more then six hours .. never gotten the chance to test drive the vehicle we was approved of Honda Odyssey 2007 .. before that we were approved for the vehicle we was dissatisfied with which was a 2014 Mazda 5 our car note range is nowhere near over 300 .. they wanted 500 for this vehicle for 72 months.. They took us through hell ..we were lied too .. .. Kenny Green is the manager of Carmax on Lithia springs dealership.. He seemed at first with the reassurance of helping us ..setting us up...and making sure that we wouldnt have the experience we had before.. originally the car salesman he had for us was man name Kirby ..which we never got to meet .. we ended dealing with a woman name Teria Harvin .. one of his best car salesmen she started their since August of this year ... She has been without a vehicle for over a year .. . I guess this is carmax way of expressing that we our in the same boat .. .. Carmax also lied to our faces. About showing proof that a disabled person has to show more further proof that they are disabled .. that is unheard of .. . When the only thing a disabled person could show is a verified award letter.. and the store / assistant manager Clayton explained that to us and pinned this policy on one of their bank lenders #Santander .. When my fiancé and my mom who we had as a consigner wasnt approved this bank lender wanted 4000 down payment for the 2007 Honda Odyssey ... However , This company we got on the phone with while at the dealership had no clue.. no policy stating that they needed proof from someone disabled.. the only thing that they could think of is a award letter.. and the fact is either one or both recipients are licensed drivers... Furthermore we gave both of our personal information and on their end nothing showed in their system none of any sources coming from us nor carmax.. They basically said it was on carmax end to do the approval etc... We had our vehicle stolen a few months ago.. we had been dragged through the mud with insurance companies putting us in a obsolete bold spot prior to our stolen vehicle.... we are unable to work .. we are unable as family of six to get a vehicle because one of us has fixed income and isnt licensed but other one is self employed and is a licensed driver .. .. we had our only family member which carmax knew wasnt licensed driver agree to being a consignor on our behalf... They still went ahead and ran our credits knowing their company policies... No one expressed to us their policies.. .. even way before we came to Carmax .. weve expressed many occasions to the manager of carmax and the car salesmen.. who knew our situation.. Only ended up getting voucher Uber ride from carmax back home .... Carmax just wanted customers that they see they can take easily advantage of out of their faces .. as soon as we walk through the door.. Their customer service was very poor... They treated us as if we werent nothing .. Though their was one of the car salesmen name Maggie she was cool and understood our situation.. She just wanted to keep her company in good graces .. to assure us that someone did have some sort compassion for us .. It was a upsetting experience with carmax on Lithia springs.. What kind of dealership that plays these types of games to people lives .. No other race has the worst experience when it comes to financing .. loans etc .. but POC ..its both sad & oppressing ..to see a family that walks off with no vehicle.. no help .. no compassion.. it is oppressing .... The pictures on their wall view a differences outlook ... you see a black couple coming to buy a car versus a white family having their vehicle at home.. It was like a symbolic message.. People think that race doesnt play a factor .. it does.. The experience with this dealership was truly horrible..

This was my second purchase from Carmax....and probably my last....I explained to my salesman I was just looking and leary of running my credit yet until I was sure I was ready to purchase..... he assured me that it would be a soft inquiry and would have no impact on my credit.... so we went ahead and ran my credit...an offer that seemed good came up and I was ready to buy the car....I did not have the necessary paperwork needed to trade in my vehicle with me at the time...I went back the next evening after work as I had said I would and when they brought up my information the numbers were different.... the salesman got his supervisor and she said they would have to resubmit the info- I told her I didnt want them to run the credit again because I got a credit bureau notification of 7 hard inquiries from the previous day even though I was told it would be soft inquiries only... she assured me that the credit check they had run the day before was good for 30 days and would not be run again- I purchased the car- the next morning I received another notification from the credit bureaus that another 7 hard inquiries had hit - all the same exact ones that had been run the day before- so not only did she resubmit it to the company I had agreed to go with but she resubmitted to all of their lenders- this effected my overall credit score and will remain on my credit report for 2 years... I called the store to speak with the supervisor that had done all this...after being on hold for literally 8 1/2 minutes a female got on the line and said all she could do was take a message.... that night and then the next day no one returned my call...I called again explained the situation to the person who answered the phone and she assured me that someone would return my call...that was about 4 weeks ago and I have yet to hear from anyone... If I didnt like my car so much and live over an hour away I would have taken it back and went elsewhere...it may seem petty to some people but I had to work very hard after a bad divorce to get my credit in good shape and I dont appreciate being lied to and then completely ignored and disregarded.... again may seem petty to some but had I not specifically asked and been concerned about this then it would be different, but I discussed it with the salesman and then his supervisor and they both lied.....

**The Service department at Lithia Springs location needs a revamp** We purchased our car through the Kennesaw Car Max location and it was a great experience that was totally awesome. The car we wanted just happened to be at that location although it is over an hour from our house and the Lithia Springs location is about half the distance. When a small issue came up that we needed to get resolved with our car, we figured wed just call the Lithia Springs location to schedule a service appt since they are closer and easier to get to. Between my wife and I, we called no less than 6 times throughout the day between morning, lunch, and afternoon, and every time received Nicoles VM. Why is there only one person that can schedule a service appt? I did leave a message for her to call me back, but never heard a thing. I even called and talked to someone in the main desk area asking if there was someone that I could talked to and she assured me that Nicole would call me back and even took my info again and said shed call me back that day. Of course as the day went on, we never heard anything. We finally decided to call the Kennesaw location service dept right before they closed for the day and immediately got someone in the service dept that was super nice and easy to deal with. We even had to call back because we forgot to tell them something and the service mgr answered that time and he was super nice also. They are obviously on top of their game at the Kennesaw location. Now I look at all these google reviews with the same complaints about the Lithia Springs service department not calling you back and see we are not alone. What a shame that Car Max lets their name get tarnished from poorly run service department at one location where everything else seems to be pretty good. Im not sure how the car buying experience at Lithia Springs would have been, but even though Kennesaw is over an hour away, well deal with them going forward just from the lack of interaction weve had with the service dept at this location. If my car was in there getting fixed, how can you rely on them when no one will answer the phone or call you back.
