PLEASE SHARE THIS WITH EVERYONE YOU KNOW!!! THIS DEALERSHIP HAS BEEN A NIGHTMARE FOR ME!! I usually love to write great review to tell people how good my service was with a company. This was the farthest from what happened at St. Charles Harley-Davidson. When I bought my Harley it was a very exciting day. My bike was delivered the following Tuesday (my day off). The company had some issues with my title paperwork so I had to wait on that for a little bit. When I asked them to mail it to me, I was told that they could not for security reason. Which was bull because my salesman had it mailed out later down the road. Anyways, I had to leave work one day to go grab it from the dealer because my temp plates were going to expire. When I got there to get the paperwork, I then noticed that the safety inspection had never been done on the Harley. NOT A BIG DEAL RIGHT??? That means, I have been riding a bike for a month that had never been looked at from their service dept. PRETTY NEAT HUH? They sold it to my only a few days after they took it in on trade!! I am lucky I guess, that there was nothing that fell apart as I was riding down the highway at 70mph!! They did tell me that I could bring it back in and they would do the inspection at no charge. Unfortunately for me, I work the same hours as the dealer so I asked them if they could do a pick up. They said they would and they would be there in the morning by 11am, this is not really an issue, so I parked my bike outside on the sidewalk on the side of my house because I leave for work at 8:30. When my son came home from school he said it was still there at 3:30pm. GLAD I LIVE IN A QUIET AREA AND NO ONE STOLE IT!!! They never called one time to tell me it was going to be picked up late!!! The driver then dropped off my bike with the safety inspection but none of the other paperwork like I requested (since they could not mail it). Since this event, I had an issue with my bike not starting and it needing some damage repaired so I then sent my bike in to get a paint job done. I had St. Charles Harley pick it up from the guy painting it about a week ago when it was done from paint to get a minor repair the fuel system and some new screws and gasket for the tank. I just got it delivered back from them today and there is PAINT DAMAGE ON THE TANK!! THIS IS A BRAND NEW CUSTOM PAINT JOB!!! When I called to talk to the service rep Corey, he told me that because I did not request the console to be secured down that it MAY OR COULD have caused the damage and he didnt know if they would be able to do anything for me. Told me that if I wanted to try and buff it out and let him know then he would see. THAT IS VERY POOR SERVICE!!! This dealership has been a nightmare so far for me with the exception of my Salesman, the sales manager and the finance manager I had. I am in the market currently for another bike and will buy one inside of the next month and I will not do business here. The entire process after the sale has been a nightmare!!
Went to St Charles H-D during an event they were having on a Saturday. I was there to look at some bikes with friends. I had a great bike already and wasnt in the market for a new bike. After going in I found a really nice looking 2005 H-D deluxe that was in good shape. Decided to buy the bike and went through the whole game of purchasing. We decided on the price and the salesman said if there were any issues with the bike in the next week just let them know. When I got home I noticed the gas gauge was not working so I contacted them. They offered to fix it. Went in for the service and get a few parts for it. They did not have the parts in stock. Held off and let them fix the bike... In the next couple weeks I noticed it wasnt working again... (2nd time) Took it in to have it serviced... Got it back and it was towards the end of riding season... Took it out during the winter months and noticed something.. You guessed it... It still wasnt working... (3rd attempt) took it in to have it looked at again. They gave me a speal that the computer wasnt working for a reciept and the third time the printer wasnt working. This last Saturday (04-12-14) we went in for another event. Talked to the Salesman about it (He was the only thing good about the place) and he had them print out receipts of the three trips... Was reading them over and noticed that there was no info on the 3rd receipt. I am guessing that they did nothing to the bike but made me wait there the whole day in service department. Needless to say on 04-12-14 I left the dealership kind of pissed off about the whole deal still with a few friends and we ended up at Gateway H-D where I decided to take that bike and trade it in on a brand new 2014 Ultra Limited... The last two Harley Dealerships that I have dealt with in the past buying bikes left a sour taste in my mouth ever to own a Harley again.... Gateway made a difference for me but I am waiting to see how I am treated there. So far I have liked going there for different events and have had good dealings with them so far. I hope they dont prove me wrong and I dont take the bike and trade it on a Goldwing :) As far as St Charles H-D goes I will NEVER buy another bike from them. I will stil go to events with friends and maybe purchase clothes etc but never a bike. They never seemed to care one bit after the sale as far as service goes. I have heard lots of stories about them from friends as well. One of our friends bought a brand new bike from them and it wasnt working correctly the day they took it out of the shop and they said they were booked and appointments and couldnt get him in for a while.... On a BRAND NEW BIKE? Come on!!! Thats showing loyality to a customer haha!!!
Well let me start by just this place sucks when I went there to buy my 2002 ultra classic the salesman were awesome but here is the story before I bought the bike I asked if the service was all done on the bike and checked over they said it had its routine service and checked so I took it for a test drive everything went good I got it back home later that night the next day I got the bike and was looking at it and found some oil leaking on the jug so called the that day and told them about the oil leakage they sent me to sales manager and he was very rude to me saying this is not there fault so we came to agreement that look at it when they put the new rear tire on it.so I made sure that there was oil in the motor and drove it everything was good so few days later I drove it again and there was a bad squealing noise coming from eathir the primary or the transsmison so I called them that day to talk to the owner of the business because the sales Manger I talked to was rude well the owner wasnt available witch Im guessing he never is cuz Im still trying to get ahold of him. So anyway I had to talked to the sales manager again he was being an dick again to me then finally he took my name and number down to have his service manager call me they never called me back. Had to call them the next day contact them before I did that I got to thinking to check my fluids the transmission was bone dry I had no leaks form the transmission on the floor in my garage so I called the service manager told him whats going on with it so on a Thursday they picked it up they have had for 1 day and they called me to tell that it was ready and I asked the lady if the checked out the leak on jug they said they didnt nothing about it even tho I told the service manager and pick up guy they told me that they would take a look at it and on the transmission that the put fluid in it and it ran fine so they told me to keep an eye on it it would be Monday before the service tech could look at it i said ok so I called Monday and talked to the service Manger he said the would get me ready to go on Tuesday so I called them on Tuesday and would check with there boss on payment so the guy called me today and said it would be 1500 hundred to fix the for something they neglected make sure of that there was transmission oil in the bike so I am still fight with these guys to make this right and theyre not I bought this bike in January 27 2017 Im just giving everybody the warning do not buy a bike from here and if u do make sure u have them go through everything with you standing there. I have contacted harley davidson and they are putting the complaint. Their service sucks. I am hope they will make this right
