My experience at Bourbeuse Valley Harley-Davidson? Great gear, decoration, and bikes, but the staff I dealt with was full of carelessness and low class attitude. And also watch out, you may have an employee named Kent who will tell you something like “I just want you to know we aint like a regular retail store where salesman runs after customers” or the store manager who will respond to it “First of all I am getting aggravated when you badmouth Kent, He has been working here for a while and he knows what he is doing” Here is the story... I rode my Harley to Bourbeuse Valley Harley-Davidson located at 1418 Highway AT in Villa Ridge, MO 63089 as I wanted to make a trade-in with my Harley for their Road king. Before I gave out my personal info I wanted the employee named Kent to give me just an estimate so I knew if I am interested in trade or not. When I asked Kent to give me the estimate before collecting my personal info he said: “It looks like giving out your info is too much hassle” than without saying another word he turned around and left. I came back to the store and he said again “I thought it was too much hassle” on what I responded “I only need an estimate.” Finlay Kent said “lets see your bike”. While walking toward my bike he said “I just want you to know we aint like a regular retail store where salesman runs after customers”. Then he took 30 seconds to examine my bike and gave me the estimate. Day after that I called the store to notify the store manager of Kents behavior toward customers. I spoked with Chris who introduced her self as the store manager. Here is how the conversation went: I told Chris that I was attempting to make a trade-in for the blue Road King that they have and I needed to know how much would the price for this Road King drop after trading-in my Harley. Chris answered: “ I dont understand why do you think we would drop the price on the Road King?” I responded “ because I am trading-in my Harley” and she answered “So?” (???) When I attempted to explain again why I was visiting the store she would interrupt and say: “What is your problem? What are you calling about?” I said that “I stopped by the store and wanted to make a trade-in and buy a new motorcycle. However, when I asked Kent to give me just an estimate price for the Road king after evaluating my Motorcycle he ditched me because I first wanted to have the estimate done.” The manager raised her voice responding “First of all I am getting aggravated when you badmouth Kent, He has been working here for a while and he knows what he is doing” Soon after that she said “I have another call, goodbye.” and she hung up. After Chris not being able to understand that when I make a trade-in to purchase the new motorcycle at the store (they do make trade-ins over there), then the price of the new motorcycle I am buying should drop somewhat, I am having doubts if she was fully sober. Dont bother with them, you will only waste nerves.

I have been nothing but 100% satisfied with every dealing I have ever had with Bourbeuse Valley Harley-Davidson. I mean to say that everyone I have met there has be great. From the person that sold me the first bike I bought from them back in 2003 (Heritage Softail Classic) to the shop supervisor ... from each of the mechanics in the shop (and Ive talked to them all) to the ladies working the sales counter ... they all have been great; appreciate everyone Ive met there. After something like 65,000 miles the 2003 was traded for a new 2011. There was no question where I was going to buy that new bike. No "shopping around". Because of the flawless service I always got from Bourbeuse Valley, because of the appreciation the mechanics earned, because of how comfortable I was dealing with the salesman that sold me that bike 8-years ago back in 2003? Because of how I had been treated every time I brought it in for service work? Because of the quality of everything that was done there, there was no "shopping around" ... no, it was "Time to go to Bourbuse Valley and get a new bike". There was no chance that I would ever buy a Harley from any place BUT Bourbeuse Valley. To this very day when I go in for tires or scheduled service work I have no reservations telling the shop supervisor and mechanic "If you see anything it needs or should be done, just go ahead and take care of it if its nothing major". They have earned that "If you see anything go ahead and take care of it" trust by the quality of everything they have ever did to my bikes "AND" by their impeccable honestly. That 2011 Heritage now has 40,000 miles on it and, like the 2003, has been well taken care of and a pleasure from (a) The day Bourbeuse Valley sold it to me to (b) The last time their mechanics took care of servicing it and putting on a new tire. As you can see I have nothing but the highest of praise for those people and thats because they have given me nothing but flawless service. Additionally? Additionally they are just nice, friendly, pleasant people to deal with. Each and everyone of them.

I went in there about 2 years ago to have the stock rims swapped with some after market rims, I asked about bringing tires in and they wouldnt mount them unless I bought the tires from them (explanation was for insurance reasons). Disheartened, I went ahead and bought the tires there when I could have gotten them slightly cheaper elsewhere. I got my quote and left the bike with them for a few days (I was going out of town so no big rush). A couple days later I got a call about the rims not not fitting due to the sprockets (I might be using the wrong term sprockets) and asking permission to go ahead and get the sprockets that would fit and they would be in the next day. Go ahead. A few days later, I go to pick up the bike expecting to pay a bit higher than the original quote. HOWEVER, the price was about $150 less than quoted even with the sprockets. On top of that, the rear pulley was repainted gloss black since the pulley had a bit of salt corrosion from sitting on the NJ coast for a couple years and was unsightly to be honest. They took the extra effort to improve the appearance when they could have left it alone and/or price gouged for the extra parts and work. The sales/parts staff has always been pleasant whenever I have gone there and I make it a point to go there first to get the things I want. That first impression was lasting and they havent shown me a different attitude since.
