My kids and I have several older ATVs and we always rebuilding and restoring more of them. I drive by a different ATV dealer every day on the way to work and back, but I always drive the 30 minutes out of my way to Washington to buy my parts at Jim Trenary Motorsports (formerly J&W). Ive been buying all of my parts there for the last 10 years or so and couldnt be happier. Rick and Mark and the rest of the staff in the parts department are top notch. They will help me locate discontinued parts at other dealers, will cross reference parts that might work when one is discontinued, and will give me options with after market parts on certain parts if OEM is too expensive. For that, I will always go there and encourage others to go there. The service department also has proven to be knowledgeable. I do my own work and for the most part know the older bikes that I work on better than most dealers. Years ago before I did all of my parts business with them, I restored an older Suzuki LT230E and could not get the stock carb jetted correctly no matter what I tried. Took it to two other dealers and they were stumped also. Carb was clean as a whistle (I had Chem Dipped it at least twice) and jetted per stock settings which should have been correct for my elevation. It idled fine but seemed to run lean on the main jet. I had even tried the next size larger main jet and moved the needle jet clip to various settings. Everyone was stumped that I had taken it to. J&W had a mechanic that asked to take a crack at it. He figured it out! The passage way for the main jet had been opened up somehow from distortion or perhaps an incorrect main jet being installed and over torqued that bottomed out and changed the flow characteristics of the carb. He experimented using a larger main, and even bored that jet out more. He ended up using a MUCH larger main jet (almost twice the size of stock) to compensate. He got it running great. That was 10-12 years ago. It is still running strong today!

Wow, this is a true story!! Hard to believe the arrogance of the people here!! I brought in my Kawasaki Vulcan 1500 for service to have the fuel pump replaced. They offered to replace it with an aftermarket pump, which was less money. Fine. I assumed it would be a similar pump. WRONG!! After I picked it up, my MPG had gone done drastically. From about 36mpg to 28. And it was running rich, not to mention I could hear the pump running continuously. Long story short, I determined they had replaced it with a Mr. Gasket fuel pump, designed for 4 cylinder engines. I contacted the manufacturer, and they said absolutely not should it have been installed on a motorcycle. J&W never once admitted a problem. Saying the pump was fine. Yet could not explain why my mpg was down. After having the pump replaced with the OEM, surprisingly the MPG is back....Even though the folks at J&W said it would not make any difference. Have I said stay away??? Please do!! Stay away!!!!

My family have been customers of J&W for years. Their customer service, great inventory, and amazing pricing keep bringing us back. Purchased my 2012 Kawasaki Ninja 650 in Candy Lime Green from them. They were the only one in a 250+ mile range that had one in this color. Everyone else had the red version which I had no interest in. They also had the best price. Customer service was top notch. They didnt have the bike I wanted on the showroom floor so they took me to their warehouse and showed it to me in the crate which is pretty exciting. Have had one service on the bike so far and they did a great job. Price came out less then what was estimated which was a great thing! They also finished much faster then they had estimated which was another plus!! Will definitely be going back to purchase my wifes motorcycle this coming summer.

J&W Cycles is one of the best places around to get work done on your bike! They are friendly, they work hard, they get it done right, and they stand behind what they do. I wouldnt hesitate, and I DONT hesitate to bring my bikes there when they need work! Ive not yet bought a bike from them, but their sales staff seems very friendly and low pressure. My only beef, is that they tend to take a little longer. Sometimes 2-3 weeks before they are even ready to LOOK at what youve got. All the while paying dealer labor rates. I dont mind paying dealer rates for dealer quality work, but I sure wish they were a little quicker for that price! But at the same time Im glad a local shop is doing so well that they DO get backed up 2-3 weeks, which means they wont disappear and Ill be forced to take things into St.Louis!

I just recently bought a new 2014 cbr1000rr and was looking to put an aftermarket exhaust on it. Once I decided which brand I wanted I checked out a few different places as far as prices. J&W was by the cheapest (including internet pricing) by about 200 dollars or so. Their parts department was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Not too mention they had the pipe I wanted in stock in there warehouse in Illinois so it only took a day to get to the store. Its a little bit out of the way for me considering I live in St. Louis, but I think it was worth the trip.

Drove from out of state and not only was unit (used Honda CRF250L) as described the entire experience from walking in the door to getting help loading into truck was fantastic. I relocate often and can say that I have visited many dealerships over the years and can truly say that Jack and the entire staff went out of the way to make sure my experience was smooth. I highly recommend that you check them out for your next power sports purchase. I will.... Thanks again Jack, hats off to your entire team!

“We took our Polaris 4wheeler in because it was constantly fouling spark plugs. It had been worked on seveal times before at a different dealership, but they just couldnt seem to fix the problem. Then, your shop adjusted the carburator. Now, 10 years later, it still is working great, no more changing plugs.”

Just bought a Teryx 4 from Josh. He did a great job at explaining the benifits of many units. He is professional, and not pushy or hard selling. Finance Manager, Larry Davis was helpful and honest. My Son is buying a RZR S this weekend from Josh. That should be enough of a recommendation. These guys are GOOD

Dan, in parts and others at J&W Cycles helped me find parts for an old KZ440 motorcycle that I restored. They even helped me find parts from other dealers that I could not order from J&W Cycles because the parts werent available anymore. THANKS ALL.
