Horrible sales team!!! I went to Baton Rouge Harley to test ride a 2018 Softail. I was not allowed a test ride. The Salesman seamed to be off in space and not paying attention to the conversation we were having. I told him I wanted to trade a Breakout and a Sportster 48. He said if I had the VIN he could get me a trade value for both bikes. After I gave the VIN he told me to wait. After 20 minutes I left the dealership with no trade values. The following day they want to come pick up my bikes. NO TRADE VALUES NO PRICE AND NO DECISION FROM MYSELF TO PURCHASE. I have 25 poker chips from dealerships all over America and have had every dealer beg me to test ride a new Harley ( I refuse most of the time cause if I ride it I buy it). THIS IS THE ONLY DEALER THAT HAS EVER REFUSED TO ALLOW ME A TEST RIDE. The Sales team should educate themselves before they approach a customer. Sad when the customers know more about the new bikes than the sales person. SALES TEAM NOTE ( YOU CAN DOWNLOAD THE 2018 SPECS ON HARLEY DAVIDSONS WEBSITE) These people just want you to walk in and buy the bike they were absolutely USELESS!!! when it comes to educating the consumer about new products. In the last 2 years I have purchased I a Street Glide, Breakout and a Sportster. My Brother has Purchased a Road Glide and a Street Bob. We will stick with Cajun Harley Davidson in Lafayette and Taboo in Alexandria!!! So far this has been the worst dealer experience I have had. Every time I walk in this place they have new sales people. If you look online you will see a lot of non Harley riders talking about the Bad Attitude of Harley dealers. NOTE TO CORPORATE ( If you want to sale bikes to people make sure your dealers assist customers. They should send corporate people to pose as customers and see the truth about what is killing Harley Sales!!! The Best Bikes in the world wont sale with poor service. This place is like an shady auto dealer. You get jumped on as soon as you get in the door by someone who has no clue what he is doing and if the conversation gets close to a purchase they bring over the sales manager. I just simply want to purchase a bike without getting the run around.

The service department is the most irresponsible outfit I have ever dealt with. First, I had them install a new charging system on my centennial FXDWG, and they couldnt be bothered to hook an ammeter up to it to make sure it worked, so I rode just far enough to drain the battery and got stranded in an Albertsons parking lot, where I called my girlfriend to come jump start me. The service department sent the man to pick up my bike the next day, then ignored it for 4 days until I called to remind them that they had it. When I collected it two days later, almost none of the scheduled work had been done, and they put me on the street with no tail light, which I didnt realize until later. I could have been ticketed or worse. Finally, after I had complained to tell service manager and told him that Id never let his crew touch a bike of mine again, they still sent the man to pick up my bike, which he did, which the service manager denied, which led to me reporting the bike stolen, after which the manager called me to let me know that he had had no idea what happened, as if I didnt know already. It isnt just the incompetence, but the insulting arrogance with which I was dealt one obviously false excuse after another. Instead of simply apologizing for screwing up the installation of my charging system and fixing what they were supposed to expeditiously, they gave one lame excuse after another, tried to put the blame for their sloppy work on me, and told me what I know were lies. I can install a charging system on a Dyna for myself. If I pay someone to do the work for me, they had better not lie to me about their goofs when they mess things up.

Horrible service department. Bike was there just a little over 5 months. They kept giving me the run around about when my bike will be ready. It was there so long they actually closed out the ticket and reopen to make it look like the bike was there only over a month. But really if they think a month is a good time to show in there system for a bike being there something is really wrong with there services dept. They will not follow up with you so you can forget that completely. You will have to call them. Be advise take your bike else were to get services work cause at Baton rouge Harley Davidson you will not get great customer services from the service dept. Im sure the sales side is awesome because they want the sale but the after the sale trust the services is completely shame. Be advise I have never wrote a bad review on any business in my life because I know things happen. But this place of business is unbelievable.

I am regretful I have to rate BR HD even one star. They deserve less than that. Rude, Overpriced, Unconcerned, and many more adjectives, none of which are good. This is without a doubt the worst motorcycle dealership Ive ever tried to buy a bike from. This is without a doubt the worst service shop ive ever brought a bike (bought from another HD) for maintenance. The saddest part is, EVERY and i mean EVERY rider Ive ever discussed this with has had the same experiences as I did. But what are they going to do? Drive to Lafayette and back twice to have their bike serviced? Not gonna happen and Harley Davidson Baton Rouge knows it. A sad example of how a franchise behaves, protected from competition. Riders in a fifty mile radius have no choice but to hand over their cash and deal with those bunch of losers.

Quite possibly the worst experience anyone could suffer through. Instead of a HD dealership I felt like I was at your typical used car lot. The sales guy was cordial, but all upper management were arrogant and had a careless attitude whether they sold a bike or not. I immediately left, drove to CAJUN HD of Laffayette and was treated unbelievably and left on the 2016 Street Glide Special bike with a painless transaction. I wouldnt recommend BR HD to an enemy. After hearing from several people that HD of BR operated as such, I should have gone with my gut, they definitely put the "hear say" from others to truth. Although Im all about buying local, dont waist your time, drive elsewhere. If I could give a negative rating I would have...

***DO NOT SHOP HERE*** Being in a horrible position (flooded home along with a pregnant wife and forced to move) I had to sell my bike. 2012 Road Glide Ultra with 23K miles on the bike. Great condition. Only offered me 9,500 and wouldnt budge. Due to my circumstances I had no choice but to sell the bike as I didnt have time to wait to sell on my own. HORRIBLE business and absolute lack of empathy and respect for their customers. As I sat there and waited I was even confronted by a customer leaving the store who warned me OF THIS EXACT SITUATION HAPPENING TO OTHERS. Unfortunately, as I said, my options were slim to none. - Previous Marketing Director for 4 Harley Davidson Dealerships
