Once again I made the mistake of expecting what I went shopping for would be in stock. They had the slot for my dog food, kitty litter, and coffee creamer, but they didnt have any product in them. But alas there is only a 20% chance that the creamer would have been there and a 10% chance the dog food would have been on the shelf. I didnt say in stock, because it might be there,but finding someone to check or a manager that wont give you the run-around to see if they do have it "cus we dont keep no stock in the back" is typically the response. My wife and I have spoken to numerous "managers" about these issues for years due to product that is not in stock and, might not be in for days. Since no one should ever hear, that their coffee product might be here in two days, but they cant be sure if it will or not, we now try and avoid the disappointment of Carlisle Giant and go to Walmart or Mechanicsburg Giant where the odds respectfully increase to 100% and 60% for the coffee creamer; dogfood has the same odds at the other Giant.

Sleeping Giant

Was profiled as "Homeless" by a manager on duty because I had a backpack on. Manager approached me in restroom, accused me of being homeless and told me to "move on" from store. This was after I had already purchased items from store. When I tried to re approach same manager to complain about treatment, he looked down his nose at me and responded "I could care less." This type of stereotyping, profiling, and discrimination against paying customers, because you assume they are homeless, is completely unprofessional and unacceptable. When I brought situation up to assistant manager of store, I was pretty much treated the same. For individuals in the 21st century to take this approach against anyone is, quite frankly, disgusting. People give their lives on a daily basis fighting against this type of treatment. I highly suggest we all get on board. NOW!! Thank you.

This store obviously has no respect for the environment! The last four times that I have gone to the store, with reusable bags, the baggers have not used them and two of the times the baggers have refused to use them when I asked them to use them! It is a major problem and its offensive. I realize that the baggers may not like them but it is their job. When I said that they refused earlier I had one bagger outright ignore me and another continue to use plastic and then put the plastic into my bags. I hope that giant does something about this. The store itself is very nice, thats why I go there, but its little things like this that drive me to shop at places like Wegmans instead.

Best fresh vegetables, they send me coupons I really can use, they have all the food I want and better prices than Weis. And I LOVE their gas points system. One where we can save up for discounts for their usually decently priced gasoline, (even without the points!) Even a lone person like me can save up enough to get these discounts! Weis makes you buy a much larger amount all at one time to get a discount. Something only families could do.

Giant is by far the best store for the economy-minded shopper. Their selection is good, the produce is better than most, and the sales are hands-down the best. There are some other stores in town that have somewhat better service and higher-quality merchandise and Id be happy to recommend them too, if you are willing to pay a little more (not much, though). But of course, I wont recommend them in the middle of an Excellent-rated review of Giant :)

Great store, not too big, not to small, just right. Conveniently located in Carlisle. We shop there all the time. We love the deli meats and if you are in a hurry you can always pickup the presliced packaged meats, and some of their delicious potato or macaroni salads. They have a superior fresh choices of fruits in season. Whats not to love about Giant. There is so much more to love about Giant Foods. See for yourself :-)

On March 8 2017 I purchased a medium sized container of rotisserie chicken salad from the deli. When I opened the container a couple days later I discovered that I was charged for Boars Head pepper ham @ $9.99 per pound. I should have been charged the real price of $7.49 per pound. I was given a full refund by the store. Nice to be taken care of.

Hire more staff. Seriously. Overall, this location is not bad. Theres enough parking and they have redone the interior. But there are not enough staff workers for the deli counter or the checkouts. The self-checkout wands are never charged and whenever I need help at a register, there is no manager in sight.

Its not bad. They have flowers, Starbucks, Chinese, a salad bar and some hot bar items as well. The store seems to be constantly busy. They have typical amenities youll find like a lottery machine, carpet cleaner rental, 5 gallon water bottles and I think theres a bank (though not sure of the branch).

When I shop there I can find the things I need and when there are sales on different products and u do not see it asked someone and they will check it for u and they go to the back room to see if they have any and most of the time they have it. I like it because it is one stop and u get everything.

There prices are so high! I had not even half a cart full and my total was $130 & Im looking at my bags trying to figure out how 7 bags of groceries was $130!!! I went to Walmart and completely filled my cart & the total was $92. I only go to Giant if I absolutely must.

The staff is friendly and courteous. Store is typically clean. The Chinese food is one of the better ones in the area, surprisingly. The parking lot leaves a bit to be desired. It can always be a little hard getting in and out.

Ive recently started shopping at giant more frequently and find that the selections on produce, deli,and meat selections have a nice variety...I can usually find some good deals :)

Always crowded and kinda pricey, this is,not one of my favorite Giant locations. However, they do have the best bakery in Carlisle and their donuts outweigh the rest!!!

Always kept clean with friendly staff to assist with your needs. Meat and deli departments are always providing quality fresh foods. LOVE the olive bar!... And sushi!

This giant has a lot of selection but is usually way to busy. Make sure that you visit at a slow time or prepare for lines to check out or crowded aisles.

My local grocer. Had some exotic choices of meats and other items up until a few weeks ago. Guess the locals arent ready for that stuff around here.

Gas points system has changed but still complicated to track. Easiest thing would be to accumulate and redeem the points within a calendar month.

It seems like the employees are angry that people are in the store. Horrible customer service. Would not recommend this Giant.

This Giant has a great Natures Promise market. I can depend on them to have a lot of the Staples I need for my vegan diet.
