The store is really pleasant to shop in during non-peak hours. Im usually able to find what Im looking for, even when Im cooking something strange or trendy. The produce section staff members are a highlight in particular; they always assist me in finding and selecting the best produce. The only downside about this place is the problems theyre having with the self-checkout. Anywhere from 25%-75% always seem to be broken. Using a card with a chip really seems to slow the machines down as well. Luckily the self-checkout staffers are usually pretty good about assisting customers when theres a backup or a problem. During the evening rush, you cant depend on that because the volume is just too high. I hope the self-checkout is fixed soon.

The Western Union here has been down for two months and the customer service agents never seem to care or state when it will be fixed, so dont waste your time. Dont try to get a money order here either because they ran out of money orders a month ago and arent planning on ordering any time soon. Other than that the store is kept clean and the staff is nice but the customer service desk should be shut down because they dont offer any of the services that they advertise. The only thing that you can get from the customer service desk is a lottery ticket and cigarettes. I called once a week since December 5th, 2016 just to see if western union was working before I went to another place, it was never working. Go somewhere else.

Its 12:30 am Ive been in line since 12:10 Theres not enough people at night you might say wrong. Theres 2 ,1 can be at the register the other could open the self check out instead of being next to the other cashier. Update at 12:42 am I should be checking out I should have gone to the safeway on Connecticut on Kensington Maryland. Ok heres whats happening the guy is new the line is 12 people total only 1 cashier. Nobody else helping. I Just left at 12:47 heres the proof. And theres still line 9 other people in line this is bs. I will not be coming back anytime soon.

Der Begriff "Supermarkt" , wie wir ihn in Deutschland kennen, ist zu wenig, um Safeway zu beschreiben. Hier macht einkaufen u d bummeln einfach Spass. Tolle Angebote rund um den "Club-Price", eine Obs/Gemüseabteilung vom Feinsten, die Angebote um Salate und Fingerfood- toll.

RUDEST STAFF YOU WIILL EVER ENCOUNTER. I called today to get a cake made and the lady seemed to be not wanting to deal with people. Every time I called she placed me on hold and then hung up and when I asked for her name she refused to give it to me and when I asked to speak to a manager she told me to "Go ahead and find a manager" and hung up....wow insane that an establishment would hire a person with such a rude demeanor towards their customers. Never taking my business to that bakery you would be wise to do the same.

This Safeway is intended to be upscale but because of its location underneath the highrise apartment building the selection can be kind of picked over. They do have an extensive hot bar, cheese selection and other quick food. Prices are reasonable. I frequently have trouble finding things that I would expect to find in an average grocery store. Their bathrooms are in terrible shape and they have made it so you have to get a code from one of the staff to get in, probably because of their.proximity to Metro.

Parking is always easy, but the store is always under staffed. Rediculous lines when its busy and they close down the self-checkouts long before closing. They always have the same person covering both the self-checks and the service counter - no help checking out if someone is buying western union, etc. Today I came at the least busy time, mid morning, and waited so long for help with a coupon at self-check, the machine timed out. She had to unpack my bag and scan it all again. Some self-check!

We call this the "gourmet Safeway." New and spacious with a Starbucks inside. Has a very good selection of goods including high quality organic and local produce. Every now and then, its missing something, but generally I can count on getting what I need. Somewhat awkward parking garage is underneath, but escalators and elevators provide pretty good access and its nice to park out of the elements.

Ana Villacorta, working behind the counter of the Starbucks, within this Safeway, is amazingly great a her job. She can make you the most DELICIOUS caramel Frappe-chino and has a kind and outgoing personality. She deserves a raise, because she leaves her customers fantastically satisfied and are the few that know how to make an excellent beverage with outstanding quality and skill.

Have been standing in a line of 15 for about 15 mins, and it looks like it will be another 20 mins in line at this rate. There is only one register/aisle is open with a customer rep at the register. Its 12:30 am and do not understand why another could not simply come over help, and alleviate the customers who are trying to make purchases.

Not a bad selection and the location is perfect - its great to grab supplies for dinner straight off the metro. Heaven forbid you have a question about where to find something, though... it took me 15 minutes to find an employee who would help me (albeit with bad information) and another 10 minutes of searching before I finally gave up.

I applied for work in this store. I was very disappointed after my application. The manager, Maria calls me for an interview. When I got to the interview she was not there. I went for a second time and I meet another manager (Patrick) to whom I explain my problem. He makes me wait in the store like a fool. Tired of waiting, I went home.

Its a newer grocery store, convenient to metro, and has free covered parking. The store is nice, nothing amazing. One thing really annoys me... half of the self checkout machines always seem to be on break. This leads to a long line that goes down an aisle and often confuses people. Why cant you keep the machines running Safeway?

Generally a good market. Selection of foods is solid. Prices are decent and can be better if you have the Safeway card. The employees Ive dealt with have always been courteous. My largest complaint is the lines at the registers--sometimes theyre long and slow-moving and management moves just as slowly in terms of opening new lines.

Expect to wait in line a long time, even at 11pm on a weeknight. When there are several lines each going halfway down the aisles, staff cant be bothered to move a little quicker or add more people to the registers. This is the closest grocery store to me but its faster for me to go to Giant 1/2 mi further away.

Modern Safeway store on ground floor of a high-rise residential complex. Across street from Wheaton Metro Station. Convenient underground parking; Ive always been able to find a space. This store seems to be about the same size and to offer about the same amenities as its counterpart in Kensington., MD.

Good prices, selection. Newer store, so its clean. Garage parking is nice. Never seem to have enough people working at checkout during peak hours though. Also, front desk is often unmanned, so if you say, want a lottery ticket or some other assistance, theres going to be a wait of varying lengths.
