First of all, we should all support local business, especially those in grocery business where monopoly by huge chains is never-ending. Snider, with their history, is like a breathof fresh air among all the chain grocery stores. Being local themselves, they sell local produce, wine, beer and ice cream too! Above all as customers, we do want to get quality produces that are consistently available and good. They can satisfy that. Havent got the chance to buy meat from there yet, but vegetables, fruits, roots are all very fresh and delicious. I could also find some unique snacks that is not available in big chain stores. Such as potatoe chips, ice cream as mentioned, certain brand of soda. Thats the main advantage of shopping local!

This grocery is AMAZING. All of their veggies and fruits are amazingly fresh, the bread from the New York Bakery is delicious and cheap, the wine selection is pretty great, the prices are kind of freakishly low. The staff are all so incredibly friendly -- I can never get enough of this place. My parents make it a point of going to Sniders each time they visit, and wax poetic about it the rest of the year!

This is a neighborhood store to be proud of. They pack a ton into their small footprint and you will never have to wait in line to checkout. Staff is great and welcomes my daughter like a rock star every time we shop. Id give them 5 stars but sometimes they run out of a product and, again because theyre smaller, it takes time to see it again. But honestly, we never hold it against them. Buy local!

Kosher Mediterranean Grocery off Nicholson. Down the hill, turn at the light and go through into the neighborhood to the strip mall that you can see below Nicholson & the furniture stores. Great meats, poultry and specialtry foods and rare canned and dry goods. Produce so-so. Not for bargain hunters.

This neighborhood grocery store has all of the basics, plus a wonderful fresh produce section, and a good selection of wine and beer, all at reasonable prices. The most amazing thing is the speed and efficiency of the checkout lines. Parking can be a little tight, but turnover is quick.

Prices compete with the big chains, carries wine and beer despite being in MoCo (great job politicking and/or filling out the historical easement paperwork), and the meat cant be beat! This place is a true gem in the crown of Silver Spring (Woodside, to be precise).

Sniders is a fantastic small supermarket with wonderful produce and deli sections. Checkout is super fast and friendly as well. Somehow, even though theyre half the size of a Safeway or Giant, Sniders has everything Im looking for.

Best deli counter in the city. Thats reason enough to have it as a part of your grocery rotation. Everything else is fine, but its a small place. The rye bread near the deli counter is also fantastic.

Way cool. Its like a blast from the past 1960s grocery. Good deli and wines. Friendly and will assist you out to your car with your groceries. Kosher hot dogs are delicious.

The prices are slightly higher than their competitors however its easier to get in and out of and they are one of the few grocery stores in Montgomery county that sell wine.
