When I read a review I like to consider the source and that includes checking their other reviews. People that throw up 5 stars gratuitously I dont trust their opinions because, in my opinion, 5 stars should be reserved for companies that bend over backwards to accommodate you. I mean unheard of customer service. And people that use 1 star because they are selfish pricks that feel entitled to things that they are clearly not. For me 1 star is reserved for truly horrible customer service -people that lie, cheat or steal from you outright. That having been said before I decided to write my review of Kahoots I wanted to see what other people have written since Id only been in the store twice. And sure enough in usual form the two 1 star ratings that I read I checked their other reviews, Alby apparently doesnt like any business mostly giving 1 star reviews, perhaps Alby should read Yelp reviews before using a business. I know I do and have had very good results from that. And the other glaring 1 star review came from Kevan O. who either loves (5 star rating) or hates (1 star rating with a rant) a company. No in between? Really? They all are either super excellent or suck horribly? Im just saying consider the source so that you dont miss out on a potentially great place. And now on to my review. I genuinely like Kahoots. The customer service is great. They are attentive without being overbearing. The woman that helped me listened as much as she spoke -which is key to understanding my needs. At check out another employee gave my dog, Lola, a tasty treat, for which she was quite appreciative displayed through her intense tail waging (my dog not the lady). Then the initial woman, helping me, gave me tons O samples of Kahoots Brand dog food (equal to a full small bag) to try with Lola. But never suggested I buy their brand instead of the one I wanted. Only that I consider it in the future. Which is cool because I despise pushy sales people that try to fill a quota. Someone mentioned, in a lower rated review, of this store that they cost more than Petco. That is with good reason they are an independent company that is not yet the size of Petco or other major retailers. They are brick and mortar without an online retail presence meaning you have to go to their store to make the purchase AND you get personal service. So of course they will be a little pricier, but there is more direct accountability. Simple economics, Bueller. And another good point came from Tim D. we need to support local independent business and keep our money in our communities.

Big, open, and clean pet and feed store. Not many options locally for purchasing chicken feed and coop/run supplies, but I just discovered this place and they are great. Good selection of feeds with samples available to look at and knowledgable, friendly and very helpful. Way better customer service than the other places!

Emphasis on good customer service. Good air conditioning and clean bathrooms available. Competitive prices with good quality Kahootz branded hay pellets and fine shavings. Hay is usually good quality. Occasionally great finds in broken bag deals section. Good variety of merchandising. Willing to special order.

Really nice pet and feed store. Large space, wide aisles. Clean. Some small animals for sales. Supplies for everything from hamsters to horses. Good selection for dogs. Chickens (chicks) for sale in the back. Fish, reptiles, and some insects/spiders. Hay and feed.

They have a ton of supplies, for whatever pet you may have, they carry chicks! Horse feed and supplies, no reptiles that I can see, few birds and fish, mostly rodents as far as animals go. Stuff are awesome, helpful friendly. Place is awesome

No hay stores are open in Conejo Valley on Sunday, but these guys are. If they werent so far from me, Id go there first everytime Great service, great selection, it always takes me awhile to get out of the store.
