I knew better than to buy a dog from a pet store. That being said, my husband fell in love with an english bulldog. Yes he was overpriced, I knew that before purchasing. We took him to our vet the same day, and he checked out healthy...we were happy, as he is a great lil guy. The night of day 2, he started hacking and had a runny nose. We took him back to our vet, where he was said to have an upper respiratory infection. Started antibiotics. Was told if not improving within 48 hrs bring back. He got worse, went back, now pneumonia. This was diagnosed with a chest xray... We did contact the store and was told the medications would be taken of only. The 7 day warranty is pretty much useless. Yeah they pay the meds, but we paid $500 to get our puppy healthy. He is still on the mend and feeling much better, but we are not out of the woods yet. I was offered to give our dog back to the owner and they would take care of all the expenses to get him healthy...I simply did not trust them and refused the option. I would not recommend buying a puppy from this establishment. I knew better, but hoped I would be wrong. I wasnt wrong. Just because these dogs come with AKC papers does not mean they are from good breeders. Its a shame, but they are dogs from puppy mills. The staff was great, the store was clean. All a front for selling sick dogs. Oh and I found out today he also has a parasite found in his stool called giardia. So more meds for my buddy. And then another stool test that we have to pay. I havent been reimbursed for all the meds we submitted so far, but it has been more than a week for the 1st round. Its amazing how the puppy had all these issues before we got him (just couldnt tell by looking at him) and yet we are spending rhe money to fix him when we paid for a "healthy" pup. A lesson learned...but at least we saved this one. Im sure we would of been told " sorry he didnt make it. You can choose your replacement now." had we let them fix him. Thanks for reading my experience and I hope you learn from my mistake. BTW, he is an awesome puppy otherwise. Great attitude and very loving...just not healthy.

Great store and friendly employees. Cutie here is a little canine education 101 for you since you apparently do not know much about the topic. Dogs eat their own poop, most of the time they have to be trained to not do so. Dogs and puppies are not human and do not know it is disgusting. To them it smells of fats and sugars since that is what is evacuated from the body. Food is not meant to be at their disposal all day everyday, they get their meals and if they eat all their food than guess what happens..... Than their food bowl is empty and their bellies are full. Wow who would have guessed. When it comes to the prices, yes they are high, your paying for convenience, a warranty, and a few other things. If you do not like the prices than go to a shelter, rescue, craigslist (look out for scams), puppy finder, or a breeder (caution some breeders charge more than stores do). If you are willing to adopt rather than buy a puppy from a store than by all means adopt. Adopting however is not for everyone. For the one who was talking about wags lending, I understand your displeasure with that but Puppies Plus does not own Wags, you may want to write the bad review on the bank or financial institution that owns it.

This place is terrible. I worked here for about a month hoping I would be able to make a difference in the puppies lives, but it was too depressing. Theyre kept in tiny kennels, often in pairs or trios even if one of them is getting picked on. The only exercise they get is if someone wants to see them in the play pen (the sign on the wall about exercise is a blatant lie). Many of them are very sick. They buy from puppy mills. One person bought a puppy, and brought it back with a horrible case of mange. The owner was more than ready to give this obviously unfit owner another puppy for free in place of the "defective" dog. He refused to take the dog to the humane society where it would get treatment because he didnt want the name of his store (its on the microchip) associated with the dog. When they clean they spray a fairly strongbleach solution on the trays and dont wait for it to dry before putting the dogs in there which Im sure is terrible for them to lick/breathe in. Its just a terrible place. I understand adopting a rescue isnt for everyone, but if you want a purebred puppy go to a reputable breeder.

This star isnt for real. Like the good healthy dogs that they are supposed to have down there. My neighbor had gotten a large breed puppy that was so under weight they had to administrate IVs immediately after bringing him home. He was riddled with parasites, giardia & he was also being horribly abused by the other large breed puppy that he was put in the box with. How do you not recognize a dog that has skin draping over its bone and still pick up after it without a care in the world? If you do not have the proper knowledge and compassion for these type of animals or any animals at all you do not need to be working around them. Make sure that all contracts have been looked over by a lawyer before purchasing any puppies or kitties or any animal from anyone to make clear clarification that youre not going to be stuck with a sick animal. I had once been told by one of their employees ,thats the owner of this pet store is a Mastiff owner and possible breeder and he should be looked at with his facility to see if he has a license to provide these services. Puppy Mills are everywhere. Be careful

If I could give this place no stars I would. Even though they get their dogs from breeders I have never meet a responsible breeder who would just ship a dog across the country for a Sale. Called about a puppy last week was told it was reserved and was not available for sale. Got called this week stating She (puppy) was available again when I pressed for more information found out the dog had contracted Kennel Cough which is contracted from living in unclean environment they did not tell me this up front I had to press for the information. I call this knowingly withholding information and is unacceptable. When asking $2000 for a puppy I would rather and always endorse going to a reputable breeder who requires to meet the families first. These poor dogs who are sent to these puppy mills deserve to be healthy and treated with respect. The owner of this store seems to not share the same opinion.
