Very disappointed. I dont normally write reviews, but I was so thoroughly disgusted by the service I received today, I felt compelled to. A friend told us about a puppy that this store had, and I wanted to go in and see it for myself. I had every intention of walking out with that dog. When I arrived, nobody greeted us, nobody asked us if we needed help, and when I finally approached the older slender lady, she was terse and acted put-off by my existence. I asked if the particular dog had been sold, and she said no, they were at the vet. Okay... so I waited around a few more minutes hoping whatever it was that she was so busy doing, she could take care of and then help us, but that didnt happen. So I approached her again asking when she thought the dogs might return. She had no idea, said it could be 1 hour, could be 4 hours. Awesome. And the final straw, was when I asked her about the price of the dog. The sign on the cage had the dog listed for x amount, while the website listed the dog for $100 cheaper. When I asked about it, she got extremely defensive, more put off, and assured me that she would get it fixed, but didnt have access to the website, and there was no way the dogs were that price. Now, If Im the owner or manager, and someone showed me their phone with where the price was listed on the website, I think I would do the right thing and honor the price. She however, made sure I knew that was NOT the price, and they are worth more. When I asked her colleague what the advantage was of buying from them rather than paying the SAME, yes SAME PRICE from a breeder down I-5, the gal was obviously clueless. She told me a lot of times the breeders dont give them their shots, and Critter Cabana as an ethical standard posted on their website, oh and they give a big coupon book with their pets. HUH? Oh, so you dont have any guarantee on your animals, you falsify the facts of breeders, and you clearly have 0 customer service skills, yeah, you lost my $1500. I honestly believe the manager(?) thought I was much younger than I looked, and didnt think I could pay for a dog. Well, Im sure youll sell that dog to someone else, but I will tell everyone I know about my pathetic experience with you.

I was so excited to visit this place for the first time! I am 18 years old and me being at an EXOTIC pet store is like a child at a toy store! I drove an hour and a half just to see this place! It was quite the unique experience! Most of the cages were open so anyone could interact with the animals. Which is really such a creative way to socialize the animals!!! I am a passionate animal lover and wish I could take every species home with me! Winston? the tortoise exploring the area, happily pushing aside anyone in his way. And the baby Sugar gliders! ABSOLUTELY adorable! I am very aware of the care they need as I have been researching them for quite some time. I was very impressed with the girl who showed me the babies. She gave me a lot of negative information about them which indicated to me that she cared about the animals, she also did not handle them or cause them discomfort because I had asked to see them. The Pygmy goats I just wanted to take home so BAD! And for such a low cost, I easily could have. I did have a few concerns though. A ferret consistently handled by everyone, began to throw up. Thats nothing you can control, it just made me question the health of animals always getting handeled. The Pygmy goats were in a small enclosure for everyone to see, but I hope that they were re-located after store hours. Over all my experience was wonderful! Ill probably end up calling every day to see whats in stock! I check your website often, but it never seems to be updated. Also, hopefully some day you could add photos to the species you say you have!

I wish I could give this place zero stars. From the minute I walked in, I was horrified with how the puppies were being treated. There were seven cages filled with puppies and no employees seemed to be attending to them. 15-20 people were in the shop all of them passing the dogs back and forth like toys. In one cage puppies were sleeping and kids reached down and picked them all up. I understand that puppies need to be socialized with, but letting hundreds of different people touch them everyday with no supervision is not the way to do it. Puppies are also at a higher risk for disease, and all of the people touching them doesnt help. This operation would be much better if you had to ask to touch a puppy and went into another room with supervision to visit with one of their puppies. Along with this there were two tortoises wandering around the shop unsupervised. One was stuck in a corner with no way to get out and no employee was paying attention. When we looked in the grooming room they have, the employee that was supposed to be grooming a dog was checking facebook on her phone, while the dog just sat there. Im honestly not sure what the management is paying their employees for. This pet shop needs some serious improvements before I will ever set foot in there again. Horrible.

As I walked in I was hit with the smell of soiled litter. I look left and see a bunch of puppies in a 5 by 3 foot area being manhandled by people who have no intention of purchasing them. Signs indicating their breed and price were hanging from their pens. Several hundred dollars to almost two thousand. I checked their website for information on where they source these dogs. I found it interesting that they had to quote the ASPCAs definition of a puppy mill to differentiate themselves. In their own words, the difference is only 3 breeding females and dogs are treated "like family". Breeding females are literally pregnant as often as possible, to maximize profits. What a sham. These dogs only exist for profit, there is no tip toeing around that fact. Check your moral compass and go to a shelter and adopt, please dont support evil companies like this. More often than not, these dogs end up in shelters themselves or in incapable hands. Their difference is that they are "pure bred". Unbelievable. Their "story" starts with two brothers making snake traps as a hobby. What kind of hobby is that?! How about I trap you, play with you, then let you go? Or sell you a stranger?

Wish I could give this a 0 star rating Just went into store with my daughter and husband to look at the the new puppies because we were considering purchasing one not to mention weve been going there for a while to buy our pet supplies which we had never had any problems prior however today one of the Male employees acted EXTREMELY rude to me for leaning a little too much over the puppies glass cage and said i wasnt allowed to have my hands anywhere near them... Which is understandable they do have please do not touch puppie signs, however I did not touch the puppies and he proceeded to talk down to me as if I were lower class as well as ignorant even after i had explained I did not touch the puppie he said I reached in too far and said I needed to hand sanitize...? Which after the fact doesnt make any type of sense. Anyway The point is I will NEVER go back nor spend my money there again. Having hired employees with that type of attitude it says a lot about the company itself. Sunday May 21st 2017.
