Honestly we really didnt have many problems with them to begin with until recently. Made all payments on time and had it almost paid off. Decided to see about trading it in for a new vehicle. Got approved and watched as the sales rep called to check what the actual buyout was on our old car. Before signing papers we asked about payments on the old car. Was told not to worry about it as they bought it out and that we were done with it. Signed the paperwork and left. Called up CNAC the next day (they were closed by the time we left the dealership the night before) to make sure they knew we traded the car in and theyd be receiving a check from the other dealership. They said that was fine. Couple days go by and my husband and i both receive texts reminding us our payment is due. Obviously were both confused. My husband calls up and the lady says yes it states in our file that the car was a buyout. My husband asks then why are we receiving texts and hes told we need to continue making payments until they have the check from the other dealership in their hand. My husband tells them that doesnt make sense as they know its been bought out and why would we pay for a vehicle we no longer have. The lady then got rude telling my husband that we have to make the payments. That theyll continue to call and text us as well as our references untill they receive a payment or the check and that well just end up screwing up our credit if we dont. Cant believe how rude they were. And to threaten not only to harass us and our family but to threaten messing up our credit as well. I would of recommended this company in the beginning but after this I definitely will not.

I just recently got a car from this business. They didnt have a huge selection, but they had some decent looking cars. I was helped promptly and was put into a nice car the same day. My only issues are that it was a bit more pricey than I wanted. However, its harder to get exactly what you want with bad credit. Which leads to the best part in that they help restore your credit faster. Service manager is very nice and helped with problems I had with the car promptly and happily. Will write another review after I see the result of my credit restoration. Follow up: as always the service department is what shines at this place. They are always willing to help. The finance department however are not living up with expectations. I reached out to the finance department a few days before my bill was due in the hopes of making a partial payment arrangement. I told them that I wouldnt be able to make my weekly payment and if they could work with me and allow me to make it up within my next two weekly payments. They refused to work with me saying they would call back the next day to see if I got the money. As a customer in good standing I feel that is outrageous. On top of that my phone was called every day multiple times a day for the next seven days. With no one willing to work with me. I dont understand why a partial payment couldnt be accepted when they already break my monthly payments up into partial weekly payments. The icing on the cake was the letter that I received after not even being a month late on the car note staying that the company had the right to repo the property. After 1 week!! Im very disappointed with the financial department.

I went to J.D. Byrider and was presented by a very professional and courteous team with a dealership vibe vs feeling like your on Dort Hwy about to get robbed. Because you have less than stellar credit should not mean that you should be treated like a parasite. J.D. Byrider more than showed that they are sensitive to your situation and they treat you accordingly with the respect you deserve like any other dealership would with someone with perfect credit. My salesmen, David Adamski, went up to bat for me and hit a home run. I can say that he is a salesman that likes what he does, and that he is not only there to make a living but he is there for you too. He was very thorough and left no stone unturned as far as explaining in great detail the J.D Byrider process of helping someone rebuild their credit & explaining your loan terms, then, got me into a vehicle that was newer than I thought I would get, exactly the type I needed for my line of business, construction & did it all in the same day in a matter of a couple of hours....WOW! If you are having a problem getting approved for an auto loan and are serious about credit restoration, I highly recommend J.D. Byrider .....It is the place to go for both. Thank you so much David & J.D.Byrider. Jerry

Unfortunately I didnt have the same experience at the Grand Blanc location as I did the TC location. I was in there (GB location) for 10 min and not even a an acknowledgment from one of the 5 employees that walked by me. Ok Im crippled so maybe thats why ,had my son with me maybe thats why , maybe it was my brother who has vascular necrosis and it was the smeel of pot in him. Im at a loss for no one to even say someone will be with you soon . Note nothing so now I will no longer take my car there to be serviced .I will only take my car to the TC location (inconveniently) . So if its service you need and not the car itself go to Tracers City . Though they did a great job in Tracers City helping me get my car also. And on aanother note I handled the situation like this instead of causing a seen. Thats what years of management will do for you.Make sure the customers get the message and help they need. My one star only pertains to Grand Blanc Mi location. Other locations I have visited all 4 to 5 star.

Buying the car is a good experience. They do let you know they are primarily in the business of credit repair, aka money lending, not selling cars. They qualify you first, then find a car to match the amount. Once in a car...then you belong to CNAC. The finance portion of the company. Their representatives are rude, aggressive, and relentless. The car you have purchased is way over-priced. They WILL come to Re-possess it if a payment is one day late. If you do not maintain full coverage insurance, they will know, and will dip into your bank account immediately, without your permission, and extract money for their over-priced insurance. They will call and nag you continuously about the coverage, even when you have it and can prove it. Ugh. I signed a deal with the devil.

I have had several issues with Ashley the person responsible to help me navigate through the term of the lease, she was very rude and forgot many of our convos and started to make it seem as though I was not responsive, when I always was. I lost my job and ultimately the car was totaled, there were issues with my air, emergency flashers, and seat belt so the car was unsafe. Every other dealership I have purchased cars from make a concerted effort to push GAP insurance JD Byrider did no such thing and left me out there to aquire their money! Just please try your best to get your credit right because the interest rate on these vehichles are dumb so much so that they get to the level of credit card status, trut me believe me it not worth it!
