I only go to this Kroger because it is close to home. I would like to say that I go to this location because of the great service and friendly people and the professionalism that the employees exhibit, but that just is not the truth. By reading other reviews it seems like "certain" customers get treated better then others. I have had many occasions in the Deli Department where I have waited and waited to order sliced meat and sliced cheese and have been completely overlooked. I wasnt greeted or acknowledged. Other customers walking up to the hot food counter were being helped. I would say about 6-7 people who walked up "after" me were helped and I was never even looked at. So I left. I later called the store and spoke to "someone" who claimed to be a manager. She sounded like she was barely 17 years old. I explained the situation and informed her that I had 15 years experience in the grocery industry and what I experienced was NOT good "customer service". It was no where near professional. She meekly apologized and probably only apologized because out of whatever training she received to be a manager, thats probably the only thing that stuck in her head. Like a robot she apologized with no sincerity a lot of sarcasm and little effort. I told her that I was not looking for an apology. A paying customer, regardless of their race, gender, ethnic group, religion or sexual orientation should be treated with respect and should be greeted properly and their expectations should be met in a professional manner. Your personal judgement on a person should stay at home and not brought to work. A customers purchase at your place of work is YOUR paycheck. Customers who leave bad reviews make you and the company look bad. I have since shopped there less and now go to Publix. They are very friendly and professional there....a far cry from the Kroger in Ellenwood. I only left a one star because there is no option for zero stars. I hope this location gets more serious about how they manage their daily operations and how their customers are treated. I understand the demand from customers can be stressful and even seem unfair a lot of the times. I am not the type of customer who is rude and demanding. I am very polite and friendly. I dont bother the employees when they are on the sales floor. The only time I need any assistance is when I am at the deli section and I dont ask a bunch of questions. I know exactly what I want and im not even picky about how I want my meat and cheese sliced, as long as Im properly acknowledged and helped.

This is the worst kroger ever! Do not go there ever! The treat you like crap and do not know anything about being polite! I was taking a electronical wheel chair and I had to stop about five times over a guy who was pushing the carts back in the store and he worked there! Also if you do go do not go in the self check out. When you need help you will need to wait for about fiften to twenty minutes just to get help! It is also hard just to find something. You ask someone and they do not know or just ignore you. I can only see a blur of when they cared about you. Also on the receipt it is just a waste of paper, and just saying do this and get that. When you need something they will not help out they just treat you like crap. They put all the rotten food out. I was loooking at some furit and I picked it up and my hands touched a old fuirt that was spoiled. I washed my hands, but sometimes when they are at work or they are suppose to be working they just talk about stubid stuff like how much a coke is when they go to a store, but they have enough time to talk and it is more important. JUST DO NOT GO TO THIS KROGER!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wife and I have been shopping at this location for more than 2 years. This location is BEYOND ridiculous and horrible when it comes to leaving EXPIRED goods on their shelves. Now I know it is hard for grocery stores to keep up with everything and may miss it by a week or so. We have found ourselves having to check everything we pick up there to make sure it is not expired. And I am not talking about a day or a week expired. I am talking months expired left on the shelves. Every single trip we have had there, we have either bought something then realized it was expired, or have been there checking and see expired goods all over the shelves. I guarantee you can go drive up there right now and you will find at least 10 things that are expired months out. We have had expired dog food, oatmeal, LUNCH MEAT, PLENTY of yogurt, Almond butter, etc. They clearly do not value their product here. When I was a teenager I used to work at a Kroger for years, and we always made sure on a daily to take down expired goods. Either find another Kroger or go to Publix or Ingles right across the street.

My latest visit at the Kroger in Ellwood was fantastic! One of the a lady stocking the shelf saw my confused face and said,"Can I help you find something?" I said no it should be on this isle I must be over looking it. She said no its at the front of the store. I thought she may have been wrong. She said I will bring to you. I said well ill just go find almond milk while you going to get my alkaline water. She said the milk I wanted was also found at the front of store also. I had to go check for myself but she was right once again. When I made it to my almond milk she was coming with my water!

I have always had a good experience when shopping at this Kroger. The short older lady in the deli is super friendly and always helps me pick the best products! The lady who runs the customer service dept with the glasses is always cheerful and polite. I dont care for the service in the pharmacy department they can be a little rude and they pick and choose. But i dont go there for my Prescripton. Because all the other departments give me such good customer service I give this store at least 4 stars!

Today was good. There were plenty of cashiers. The deli folks cooked ribs on an outside grill and they were very tasty. At only 9.99 a slab they were very reasonable. Each one was enough feed two hungry people. All, in all, a goid visit.

Neighborhood grocery...really like the new stand and presentation of the fruits and vegetable area. My only dislike is entering the store. The outside area really needs to be cleaned, and the garbage bends are typically over flowed!

Employees dont even make eye contact with you. They are rude and too busy in their own conversations to help anyone. Then when you ask a question they blow their breath and act like it is physically painful for them to help.
