I dont usually write reviews, but I had to say something about the recipe change of the rotisserie chicken salad at Kroger. I used to buy the rotisserie chicken salad from Kroger all the time. I had stopped buying it for a while (a year or so). Not because it was bad, but I wasnt shopping much at Kroger. Recently, I bought two containers of their rotisserie chicken salad with grapes, each costing $8.74. I thought that was a bit costly, but I remembered how my family enjoyed it. When I got it home and made sandwiches, not only was I disappointed, but my family didnt like it either. Did Kroger change the recipe? Why? My son asked if there was pickles in it instead of grapes because we really couldnt find any grapes and it just tasted funny... there were these little diced pieces of something in it, (maybe grapes or pickles, who knows, they were very small and pale) and the mayo or salad dressing they used wasnt the same either. I paid almost $20 for this chicken salad based on my previous experience, and I totally wished I hadnt. Needless to say, I will NOT buy any more of the Kroger rotisserie chicken salad with grapes from the Hudson Bridge, Stockbridge store. It is AWFUL. Why did they change the recipe??? For those of you who enjoy rotisserie chicken salad, I recommend Ingles. I had stopped buying it for a while there as well (about 6 months) but went over to get a few containers this past weekend. Not only is the recipe the same it has been since 2010 when the store opened (on Walt Stephens), but it costs less. I got two containers at $5.89 each and my family enjoyed every drop! (I saved $6.00 for Ingles salad vs Kroger -- I could have gotten 3 containers from Ingles vs. 2 containers from Kroger). The Kroger chicken salad I bought right before Thanksgiving, I had to THROW it out yesterday because my family just would NOT eat it. There was approx. a container and half left in my refrigerator! What a waste of money! Kroger, you need to go back to the original recipe. Until then, Ill be buying my chicken salad from Ingles.

I have never been here, I just wanted to get the rating back up because I personally think its ridiculous for a consumer to rate a WHOLE store based on $20 worth of chicken that they took it upon themselves to purchase.. maybe the guys making it that day was new, maybe the girl making it that day just had a rough day and it showed in her work, perhaps her sick grandma was in a hospital a few states away and because they were understaffed her manager couldnt let her take the time off. Maybe none of it is the case. Its a prepared food thats made in the store, and the people making it are human, ergo they are not perfect.. If you didnt like the recipe, perhaps write a letter to the corporate office, kindly letting them know that if the recipe is different, youd be more likely to purchase the old one.. Maybe they are trying to cut costs.. letting them know its not unnoticed and that your business would be maintained by going with the old recipe might help.. but rating the place a 1 based on this one experience... thats a bit juvenile and as one consumer to another, I feel bad for them as a business.. not you, your family, or your first world problems...

Love this store I shop here just about every single day (at least 25-27 days each month) the staff is always so helpful & friendly no matter what time of the day or night (they use to be open 24/7 & 2 in the afternoon or 2 in the morning) every staff member Ive ever in countered in this particular store has at least a slight natural smile on their face & anytime they are dealing with a customer they are always as nice as they can be with a smile from ear to ear. I do not recall 1 bad memory or experience Ive ever had at this store. Love this place & anybody that lives the area should check it out I know yall will love it as much as I do...like the store itself, the staff (who truly makes the shopping experience quick & easy every single time with a smile), the selection, & the unbeatable prices everyday (& sale prices are usually unbelievable & they have a new selection of sale items each & every week & its always top brands & useful/popular items) Definitely recommend this place to anyone! Thank you Kroger Im a loyal customer for life!

Today was my first visit as Ive recently moved to the Eagles Landing exit. The store was very nice and clean so I thought it was going to be a nice shopping trip. I left shaking and upset after speaking with a very rude baker named Doneka. I asked if the particular loaf of bread of picked out was the freshest or if they had happened to have some fresher behind the counter. She said "we bake our bread every morning" and I looked down at the bread and it had a different date on it. Confused, I asked "so .. no?" And she looked at me like I was dumb and said "what do you want bread fresher than what was baked this morning ?" And cocked her eyebrows at me and rolled her eyes then turned to walk away from me. Seriously how hard is it to say "no maam our freshest bread is on the shelf". I wont be back. The manager seemed amused by my bad experience. Oh well. I dont know why I expected to be talked to like a person. Its not like I was rude or turning my nose up at the bread. I just asked a simple question.

I bought a rotisserie chicken and chipped my tooth on a crispy part of the chicken. Store management took photos of my tooth and the chicken and stated that the Kroger office would reimburse me for the cost to fix my tooth. I called The Kroger Co. Risk Management and spoke to a team member who stated that I simply needed to send in a copy of my dentist bill and they would pay the cost since the chipped tooth occurred due to their error. I had my tooth fixed, called Risk Management- Claims at The Kroger Co. and was told quite rudely by Melissa In Customer Affairs that they would not pay the dentist bill. Worst experience ever! I have been a loyal Kroger customer for years but will not support this establishment due to this. I legitimately broke my tooth due to their product, twice they told me they would pay for it and then this rude Customer Affairs Manager calls me and states that they will not. UNBELIEVABLE! Publix is much more customer friendly and ethical.

On two separate occasions, I bought the Kroger Simple Truth brand of organic chicken. The date on the package was still days away from being the "sell by" date. I took it straight home and put it in the fridge. Both times when I got it out to cook on the same day as I bought it, when I opened the package, the overwhelming scent of rotting ROADKILL took over the kitchen. This store is doing something nasty to the meats. I just moved to this area and I have purchased the same exact brand of chicken at my old Kroger and never had an issue. Either they arent storing meats after delivery in a timely manner, their refrigeration units arent cold enough, or they refuse to throw away their expired meats and just stick a new date and label on them. The produce department is not very fresh either, rotten liquidus onions and moldy peppers for sale. If you are going shopping for fresh foods stay away from this location!
