If you are black AND male, especially young, you will not get greeted when you enter and assistance while shopping is limited, even if you are female. Sadly, this location has a STRONG slave mentality in which the employees will not help you or offer services and goods at high quality because the store is located in a mostly black and poor neighborhood. If you get help, it will be more of a point in the direction or something else. When two teen males worked there under another manager, I got more help then compared to any other time. The store sells on many occasions spoiled meat and moldy produce at sale and regular prices. You will see fungal growth on produce, dead flies around the packaged meats and dont you dare ask the butcher for help. You must check the unit prices on the meats or you will be over- or under-charged. This store cannot keep a manager. The store has more female employees who love to talk and not work. The items on the shelves are many times soiled and the prices do not match the shelf prices. The attitudes and ignorance I get here just for trying to get help while shopping when the store is not officially closed is not worth the prices or the selection of items. Why do so many people who perceive themselves as black think it is acceptable to treat others with similar backgrounds like trash or limit good services and products? I would not cry if this store closed.

I had not shopped Wayfield for 10 years, due to a smelly store. Yesterday, it was clean, neat, and the place smelled good. Produce and meats appeared fresh. Most employees greeted me. My cashier was not in conversation mode, unlike the cashier behind her. My Cashier greeted me, rang it in, took my payment and robotic ally thanked me. I had a feeling I was to thank her. The bagging employee was more pleasant and communicated to me and the cashier.

Meat is always scary looking.I never seen gray meat before the store slways smells if dampness and unhealthy. But since new management oh my such a turn around. They have new refrigerator, the meat looks healthy and the smell of freshness is in the air. And the prices, well they are changing but I dont mind paying extra wth the changes they have made.because of changes I will give it a 4

A good smaller grocery store. I dont do my major grocery shopping there but they are more convenient because it is small and carry most of your grocery needs. Staff seem to be readily available if you have questions. Prices are compatible with competitors. They often run good sales that I take advantage of.
