I usually only review places I feel passionate about, but Im expanding. I generally have a good experience here. Milk is about $4, eggs are about $2, bread is as low as $1. They have great holiday candy sales. The wait times in line can drag a bit, it really depends. Ive had excellent customer service here, and Ive also had a few workers who were rude. Once I was talking to an LP guy in line who started ranting about how amoral non-custodial mothers were, which caught me off guard, since Im a non-custodial mother. In retrospect he was probably looking for sympathy as a custodial dad or something. Some advice is to make more batches of your specialty donuts which are delicious and the best deal around and more lemon pepper chicken which always sells out first. Also sometimes the ceiling leaks on me and the place smells like meat. One time the power went out and the workers had to work through it and it smelled awful. They usually do meat sales on weekends and the butchers really helpful. Their new rewards system is a penny per dollar spent and you can spend it all at a gas transaction at Exxon across the road or on groceries. Make sure you register your card online because over the phone doesnt work. One more thing I wanted to add was that this place does WIC and SNAP better than any place in town. They have the biggest selection of WIC foods and if it has a WIC sticker it really does cover it.

The shopping is not a pleasure at Winn Dixie,,, none of the stores that I have visited. It is frustrating to pay full cost for fruit that could be rotten the next day. I only asked for assistance once, and they took me to a gluten free AREA,,, they called it,,, well, it was TWO SHELVES. That was three years ago, so hopefully, they have improved in this area. However, the quick stops I make , the store is always old and dirty, and the staff act like they really dont want a customer in their line..... it is truly amazing,, that they are even still OPEN. They need an over-haul, if they can afford it. I have seen Winn-Dixie a good , affordable, chain of stores in the past. Im old enough to recall when the stores were new and the prices and deals were fantastic. It may be too late to go back to what they were before the ecoomy changed, who knows.

I was there waiting my turn at the Customer service and the Puffy Headed lil gal working there said hey girl to the lady behind me and took her in front of me!! Then she argued with me that she was next. If I thought anyone else cared I would have protested but they would have had her back Im sure. I took my money order, lottery, gift card business to Publix that day and good thing I did. I hit a really good scratch off that day and it was because of her rudeness. I did ask her if it was my color or my age or my appearance that made her discriminate against me that day. The ladies at the Tharpe Street deli are uber nice and their food is really good but I have to be desperate to go in that store. Its full of gangstahs and rude students too. Ick!

Its really hit or miss, good sales on expiring foods but the POS system misses a lot. 2/3 trips Ive had to return for a refund because the POS system doesnt recognize everything on clearance and apparently cashiers arent trained to make sure things ring up correctly (kudos to publix and Walmart, go figure). When calling, the phone just rings and rings so Im a bit peeved I have to return to the store because they owe me $5.00.

The most filthy store and the rudest employees Ive ever seen in a grocery or retail store. Managers have said their hands were tied and this is the best they can do. I simply refuse to step foot in their stores ever again.

The store is bigger than it has to be. Nonetheless, most necessary items are there with a decent price. I looked at the weekly ad and tried to look for things but they dont carry those. Store staff is nice.

This is a very convenient grocery for Famu and Fsu and local high school students (Godby) Griffin & more ...Prices could be better and less obvious security. Everybody is not stealing.

This Winn-Dixie always has great deals, when the store is near closing at night their cleaning products make the store smell sooo good and the people that work there are very helpful.

They always only have two cashiers, so the lines are always long. I waited to get a money order for 10 mins because there was no one at the desk. The sales are always great though.

Their produce section is disgusting, particularly their avocado selection, to the point where I have often seen flies encircling it. Im surprised theyve passed health inspections

Untold Story

This place is a dump! Dirty, old and broken. Some of the people that work there are nice, but when you call no one answers the phone. Also the parking lot is covered in trash!

When i fist got to Tallahassee i alwys weny here it clisr and convenient the havr most of ehat you want i bumb when they took away the self check out but they got what you want

The shopping is very easy-going and is not often crowded. The food is restocked nicely and regularly. You may spot a large black smoker/grill outside which I find interesting.

Never enough cashiers, inventory is often very low of whatever is on sale. They make you scan your ID when purchasing beer which is inconvenient, and feels invasive

Shop here frequently and during the most busiest time of day, there are maybe only two lines open and people have to wait at least 10 minutes to check out.

Looks clean but the smell of rotting meat hit me when I entered the store. The smell was in most of the store but the staff said they had not noticed.

Isnt as fresh as I want it to be and deli stays kind of dim. Dont ask for the kiddie cookies for the kiddos you will be disappointed

Honestly not bad and they have plenty of sales and buy one get ones. The deli isnt as great as say Publix, but things are cheaper.

This Winn-Dixie has a lot more items available. More specialty items and seems to be a bigger store. I like this one.
