Whole Foods is a chain - I know. But, like various establishments previously locating themselves in TLH, it serves (to me) as an index of how very little is unavailable within our great city. (Pardon me for sounding like the chamber of commerce, but as my YELP tangling shows, I am TLHs biggest fan). I dont know of a better cheesemonger. Sure, you could order from Murrays if Whole Foods didnt have a particular cheese - but its unlikely that they dont, and... If they didnt, youd be better served just ordering through Whole Foods. The butcher is about as close as it gets to a standalone butcher. I dont know whether theyre purveying sides of hog or beef, of if its all coming prepped from the big whole foods source in the region, but regardless, the cuts look healthy and fresh - and corpulent in their own right! I noticed yesterday that our butcher here has added Moroccan lamb skewers to the lineup - theyve traditionally carried Greek and Turkish skewers. Adding the Moroccan ones just expands an already good thing. The buffet lineup, while costly, is very good. I do notice a substantial price gap between new leaf and whole foods, albeit with a tremendous gap in choices. Whole foods dwarfs new leafs line (understandably) in quantity - but not quality. I put them on the same par. What I really enjoy about this whole foods (and I suspect its part of an overarching corporate culture of rapid community integration/involvement) is the appreciative nod to the former Miracle 5 Theatre, retaining the signage from when they closed down. Thats very nice. Whole Foods - spend the same amount here as you would at your own regular grocery store - eat more sensibly - and far better.

I walked in this grocery store and fell in love. I say, FELL IN LOVE! The people are oh so friendly and they have samples throughout the ENTIRE store. You can even buy a glass of wine and shop while youre sipping on some class. The prices are even phenomenal when it comes to the bakery section. I bought a freshly made full pumpkin cheesecake for just $12.99! And it was delicious :) They have an entire buffet section so its not just a grocery store, but an eatery as well. Also, Im an extremely healthy eater and many of my recipes call for odd organic items... whole foods always comes through. The gentlemen working in the wine section are actually knowledgeable about the brands and were able to adequately assist me in choosing a wine for my reunion with my deployed husband. I EVEN got to sample the wine before buying... This place is wonderful! Yes, its a little pricey but you get when you pay for. Excellent service and quality products. Thank you!!!!

It was good at first they were trying hard. My first review was good and then I started seeing problems and mass layoffs. They quit carrying the deli food that theyd put aside for me at one time, but I kept going since it was the only game in town at the time. Since other organic/natural stores have now opened up ( quite a few actually ) there are plenty of other options. I had a young man in the deli treat me so stupidly that its not even worth going into here. I told on him and nothing was done to correct his behavior because I saw him do it again to someone else. I can see the place is not doing well so if they dont shape up its gonna be gone from Tallahassee. Our town will not tolerate silly high prices and rude behavior and this location is fostering both of those now.

If youre into the Whole Foods experience", youll enjoy your visit here and overlook the stores issues. If youre not into it, youll be frustrated with the staff who refuse to help you find things, the inconsistent selection, the over priced produce and shelf goods, and the "friendly" health "advice" you get from other customers without any solicitation. I have yet to leave this store without someone trying to sell me nonsense, like organic salt, low carb sugar, or a $5 bottle of water harvested organically using sustainable methods by orphans at a co-op. They dont stock basic goods that are "unhealthy", but they have a fine selection of beer. If you hang around the dairy section, someone WILL try to sell you their unpasteurized milk.

I have been to this new Whole Foods many times now and I love it! Im a fan of Whole Foods stores in general but this one is really clean and I always get awesome service. Employees are always asking if I need help with anything. The other day I went there and was looking for mango. I asked one of the guys working if they were any good at the moment. Not only was he super friendly he actually offered to cut one up for me to try! I thought that was so nice and I ended up buying a few. Produce always looks so great and I love the friendly people!

This Whole Foods has got to be the most disappointing one Ive been a shopper at. I own stock. I even used to work at a WF. The selection is fine and I like that they source some local products and farm produce...but the prepared foods are awful; Im generally consistently disappointed. The salad bar is usually wilted by 12:30, and Ive bought soups with under-cooked beans--gross. Its also missing that upbeat attitude I usually associate with WF. I really think, even for a new store, they could be doing a better job...as sorry as I am to say so.

Sorry but your prices are absurd for the Tallahassee area! You do know most people barely make over 30k here right? I heard corporate was very disappointed in this location. Well you should have done your market research. We arent L.A. or NYC most of us cant afford you. I have been in numerous times but buy very very little. Like maybe 1 gallon of half and half and some Lucky Goat coffee if all the Lucky Goat coffee shops are closed. For all my regular shopping? Yea, Ill stick to local farmers markets and walmart or publix theyre way cheaper.

Well they got everything, except great prices!, but at least theyve got everything! Im a neutral fan of whole foods, while I am happy for their selection, I always cringe dropping $160 on groceries for a week. Sure they offer local, organic, vegan food, but so does my local farms market, and for much less (plus it goes directly to the growers). This one has a good selection and friendly staff but at the end of the day.... Its okay.

On Sat 30 Sept, I picked up from the cheese dept. a "Soumaintrain" without a price tag, at the check out they obtained the price. Little did I know it was $22.99 for 400g of cheese, with an unpleasant taste to boot. Unfortunately I did not realized until today after I shared some of it with friends did I realize I had been taken advantage of. Let it be a lesson for everyone. I could order one from France for less money at this rate.

First time visiting this store and the customer service was superb...I travelled over an hour to pick up my called in order and it was packaged and ready for pickup at the service desk. I highly recommend this location for its helpful and knowledgeable staff. Plus the store was very clean and organized.
