They r HORRIBLE @ this pawn shop!!! They take barely anything-everytime I have gone in there (and Ive given them several chances to get my business) they either dont take it or they offer a ridiculously low price for a loan. All they really want and of course, theyll mention it to u is...gold~"ya we really dont take that but if u have any old or broken gold we can help u out then". Well, dipstick if I had any old or broken gold I wuddve brought it now, wudnt I have!!!! And on the items that they were willing to take ( and they act like theyre doin u this big favor by accepting it) they offer u an 1/8 of wut its worth! Wut happened to the old pawn shop rule...they offer u 1/3 of value?!?!? So Id recommend going 5 seconds up the street to JBs Pawn they r nicer, take more items and offer fair pricing!!! Plus just the Meriden Pawn commericials w/ the most horrible singer ever is just too annoying n says it all!!! Stay away!

Absolute low lifes working in this joint. Place is gross inside and attracts pretty much ever other low life in downtown Meriden. Tried to sell a ring, which was white gold and certified diamonds spread across. The ring was valued well over $1000 and i knew going in i would be lucky to get a quarter of its value. However, after hearing one sales associate say "$500" to another i was intrigued. Immediately the other sales associate turns around and offers me $38.00. I laughed and walked out Enough Said!!!! Do yourself a favor, go somewhere else. There is a reason these guys only work in a pawn shop.

I dont know how much these people were paid to lie, but this place is disgusting. I wont even walk in there by myself because I feel unsafe, they are so rude, and take advantage of women. We were in a bind and I needed to pawn my wedding ring, a very expensive wedding ring....They told me that I would get more money if I just sold it to them. Well I was desperate and decided to do so. They didnt even give me a quarter of what the ring was worth....stupid decision, please anyone going there think twice. The ads on tv and such are NOT TRUE. Youve been warned.

Went in expecting to sell a sterling silver chain Ive owned for a few years. The associates where busy chatting with some friends while I stood there. Once they finally helped I told the associate it was sterling silver, he tested it and gave me a pitiful price compared to other pawn shops. I bet they probally thought I stole it and knew nothing about it. I know silver isnt worth much and places usually just scrap it but the service was rude and they had very poor prices. Be careful here, and know the worth of your item.

TOP $ PAID FOR GOLD!!! Went into Meriden Pawn to sell some gold and was given a quote by one of Mikes staff. I decided to go to the pawn shop across the street to see what they would give me for a quote. I was NOT at all suprised when their quote was ($100) LOWER than the quote I recieved at Meriden Pawn. I would highly recommend Mike and his staff for their consistant courteous and professional service. He absolutely has earned his nickname the "KING OF GOLD" !!!!! J&S-Meriden

These guys are so wonderful. I ran into a situation where I needed money fast and they are just such nice guys. They have a way of not making you feel bad about pawning when you are in a bind. These guys are true gentlemen and will work with you if they know that you want to get your stuff back. Service with a smile they dont make them like these guys anymore!!

watch out with these guys, for one they treat everyone like they are scum or a drug addict and for two i went there to pawn something and they purposely filled out a sale sheet instead, if i did not notice this my item would have been sold and i would have been told i was out of luck SELLERS AND BUYERS BEWARE!

This pawn shop is terrible. All of the prices are prices you would see for new products online. They are not located in the nicest neighborhood either so you know they are getting high end products for 20 bucks. How they are in business still is beyond me Stick with silas dean

I went to sell an old xbox and they wouldnt take it cuz it was "antique" and my sister tried to sell her old ps2 and they said we dont take those but there was one in the case. these people are skeezballs. they suck!
