I know, everyone on here gives these people raving reviews. But Im an older woman and I went in there today based on these great reviews, AND with every intention of buying a bicycle from them. Instead, they didnt even give me the time of day. I asked the "salesperson" (if you can call him that) about buying a bike, and basically the guy was way more interested in the other younger and much better looking women in the shop (I get it, believe me, but face it male hormones can take over, too). He was simply one of the rudest sales people Ive ever encountered in my life. He actually tried to pass off a USED bicycle to me as new, telling me that it was one that had been "rented" to the people that come in to rent bicycles from them, and that it had been refurbished to be resold. He kept insisting that it was not a used bike when it most obviously was used, and you could see that it was used as well. I asked if he had more bikes to pick from and he said they were outside. So I stepped outside to look at them and I never saw anyone from the shop again. I actually waited about 10 minutes (I took a call on my cell phone), walked back inside the shop, and the guy - nor anyone else in the store - never offered to help me again. They were not busy - there were only two other customers in the shop. They were just plain rude, and I got the impression that they simply didnt give a hoot about dealing with older clientele. It was one of the ONLY times in my life that I felt like I actually was discriminated against because of my age!!! Like I mentioned earlier, I went in there with every intention of buying a bicycle today, totally based on the reviews I read here on Google. But I walked out after having one of the worst shopping experiences of my life. They need to learn to address all of their clientele, and not just the young hipsters that undoubtedly make up most of their clientele. I was young once, and I get it. But the treatment I received today was not warranted, nor was it necessary. What a shame.

I moved to Nashville last year and have been looking to start biking regularly ever since. About a month ago I got lost on my way back from a yoga class, and as I was meandering down Jefferson street, I impulsively decided to stop by Green Fleet Bicycle Shop. Really glad that I did. I had spent some time window-shopping at Halcyon and was looking to possibly purchase the Breezer Uptown, but had been told by my bike friends that its important to shop around. From the moment I stepped in, I felt completely comfortable and well-attended to in spite of the apparent busyness of that day. I told Richard what I liked about the Breezer, and he recommended a few bikes to test ride, which had similar features. It took me a while to decide, and he even let me eat his KIND snack bar while we chatted about my options. The customer service at Green Fleet is just that good. They treat you as a person and friend from the moment you walk in. I ended up buying a beautiful off-white Linus. Also, I hate when I get a sales pitch instead of just being presented with information and options in a laid back way. At Green Fleet I was never pressured at any point, but Richard had the knowledge to point me in the right direction and helped me pick out the perfect bike, which is why I finally bought one. I ride it all of the time now, and Ive been told theres a complimentary bike tune-up 6 months after purchase. Austin leads the slow rides on Wednesday nights and does a fantastic job of fostering community and bringing people together from all different backgrounds. I also took a bike tour from Chris, one of the part-time guides at the shop, and had a great time learning some of the hidden history behind the city. Experiencing Nashville through the lens of a bike tour is a completely unique experience and I cant wait to do it again with these guys.

We were on a three week cycling trip that ended in Nashville so I emailed the store to see if they would be able to box our bikes up for a fee. They replied that they could and would have two bike boxes set aside for us. About a week from arriving in Nashville I emailed them again to confirm that we are indeed coming in to box our bikes up. No reply so I emailed again. No reply again. So when we got into Nashville, I called and was told that they only have one box and would not have another for at least a week. I asked if they could give me two of those plastic fork spacers that stores would normally throw away, since I now had to find my own bike box and package the bikes myself. No, I was not able to get one free and No I was not able to buy it from them. In the end I was able to get free boxes and packing material from a different bicycle store. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND POOR COMMUNICATION. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!! It is by far the worst bicycle store in the 25+ states I have visited.

I cant think of any other store, regardless of industry, that has made a point to welcome customers like Green Fleet Bicycle Shop. Im not originally from the Nashville area and so I wasnt sure where to go when I wanted a bike. I also felt like it was a lost cause as Im working with a college student budget. Austin reached out to me and gave me the opportunity to buy a bike that met my needs. Once at the shop, Richard was extremely kind and very helpful (I am a runner and know nothing about bikes) and was able to answer all my questions. This definitely isnt a bike shop that you visit just once. Youre going to be welcomed regardless of your knowledge of bikes, and youre going to want to go back to experience the great atmosphere of the business. Im hoping to join in on group biking sessions once the weather warms up. Being 800 miles away from home and family, I feel Ive found a crew that brings home a little closer. Thanks Green Fleet. You guys rock!

As visitors on two wheels to Nashville, my other half and I were both shocked and thrilled to discover a Brompton dealer south of Chicago. This was especially true because TSA had done minor damage to my Brompton and more significant damage to its hard case. Green Fleet not only repaired the bicycle but also sold me a new hard case at a very fair price, delivering it the same day to our hotel at no extra charge. In addition to carrying a surprisingly large stock of Bromptons in the most "bike-sexual" colors imaginable, Green Fleet sells a wide range of other excellent bicycles including Surly, my regular ride of choice. It was a pleasure meeting Austin and Richard, who are both extraordinarily competent and extremely customer-friendly. Ive ridden my Brompton in many other American cities but Ive never ridden it to any bicycle shop that I like better or respect more than Green Fleet.

I cant describe how grateful I am to have coincidentally moved a block down from the absolute coolest bike shop I have ever steeped foot into and ever will. Not only can Green Fleet provide you with anything and everything you will need to get rolling in style ad satisfaction, they have treated me with such hospitality and kindness that I cant explain in words how grateful I am. I cant afford to reward them with money at the moment only my words so here it is. THANKS and GO HERE! ... like right now haha pop, a tent up outside a nd wait for the doors to open... Thanks dudes... Keep a eye out for the tandem bike with two fine women around the Edgehill area. Thats us, the two biggest fans! oh and the uni-cycle! XOXO
