About CityCenter as a retail/dining/entertainment venue: well, to put it mildly, its expensive. Definitely too expensive for me to shop or eat there. BUT Ive hung around the place enough to also see how much effort they put into little events designed to draw in a wider crowd-- like the weekend farmers market, weekly (I think Friday evenings?) outdoor yoga group, kid-oriented Christmas concert/party thing.... so I give em credit for that. And the central sort-of courtyard area is very nice and kids definitely love looking at the huge digital art display thing and the fountain feature. So if you really need a coffee break but youve got a kid on your hands-- it might be worth it to let them explore a little in the courtyard area while you take a load off for a second. Its a pleasant, sun-shaded, car-free little space with benches, tables, and chairs. About CityCenter as an apartment/condo building: If you can afford it-- do it. Go for it. Its worth it. Of course, whether you can afford it is a HUGE if. I will never be able to afford a place like this, the only reason Ive spent any time here at all is because I have some friends who can. But yeah-- the staff here are ridiculously kind and pleasant. The common space areas like the roof terraces, gym, conference room, and sort-of communal living room are all really nice. There is a real community within the building to engage in if you want that sort of thing.

Back in the day, CityCenterDC was a massive astroturf parking lot where youd pick up the MegaBus or BoltBus to New York City. Fast forward a few years, its now the shining gem of DC attracting tourists and convention goers. For locals, its a beautiful show as you walk by to dinner in Chinatown. The center itself has many three star restaurants and shows too expensive for the average person. One plus for all is they decorate it for each season providing DCs Instagrammers with a feast to photograph! If you must grab a bite, keep it simple and opt for the black sesame gelato at Dolcezza.

The shops here are all beyond my price range, so I have no comment on them. The parking garage has 10-12 electric charging stations, but there is no enforcement. On our last visit, more than half of the charging spaces were occupied by conventional gas vehicles, and we got one of the last two. If you encountered this problem, ask the attendant to have someone charge your vehicle.

Here is DCs attempt to make the streets of Florence, Italy. Its high-brow, well curated o reflect its target demographic, and concentrated to a half-block. It would be great to be able expand on the concept to other parts of the immediate area, but for now the acclaim that it receives is disproportionate to what it offers. Great for a stroll with coffee or noteworthy dinner.

Centrally located down town is two blocks from Metro Subway and Three blocks from Gallery Place Subway Station. They have very high end stores here (Not my thing). Centrally located to public transportation. Macys, Staples and H&M Store are close by other stores. Plenty of places to choose to eat at. Grand Hyatt Hotel is across the street from City Center DC

Pretty area where the main draw are the fountains and seating at the central plaza. Its businesses make for decent window shopping, though each spot will be well beyond the price range of most. Biggest critique are the occasionally over-zealous security, which are omnipresent and *can* be friendly, but come 11pm they eject everyone out.

Beautiful place. I parked in the garage under the center. But I hangout a lot in this area. Really nice places to eat. I love coming here for my coffee breaks. Centrolina, Dolcezza or Milk Bar are excellent choices to make. The water fountain with LED displays are very relaxing. They really turned this place into a beauty

A very hip and happening place, but only if you have the dough to spend it. If youre like this particular guy, you walk through to enjoy the wonderful sights and lovely architectural displays this place has to offer. Even window shopping is quite acceptably fun. Check it out, as its only a few blocks from Chinatown

I will be honest, I did not stay long in this mall and it was mainly due to the poor convenience of getting around. There were many levels and areas barricaded off. It was hard to discern on the maps where each store was located. I understand it was a retrofitted space, but there is room for improvement.

Seems that most people who come here are those who cant really afford more than a t-shirt or small accessory on sale. So, if youre okay with hanging around people like this, then youll love it here. City Center has a ways to go before it attracts customers with actual wealth who can shop here.

The bar has been raised in this enclave of DC. Momofuku, Carolina Herrera, Loro Piana and Gucci among other lux boutiques. Its amazing to see what this has become. The alleyways between the stores really transport you to old streets in Europe. Nice place to take walks.

Very impressive shopping center. In the center of the shopping center there is a beautiful fountain that is on the floor its really cool my kids played in it. The shops are a bit more high-end but there are few restaurants and coffee shops throughout the mall.

Pretty much only the most expensive shopping places, but that means they have the money to make the space a really lovely one to walk through. Great fountain for kids and dogs to play in and fun decorations on Palmer alley form the middle are wonderful.

Had an amazing time here, very cute and chic. A nice place to have dinner, shop or even just sit outside. I went to Del Friscos steak house and had an amazing dinner and then sat next to the fountain afterwards, all in all a remarkable evening!

I like this area - lots of good shops (all fairly high end but not ridiculously off-putting). Nicely landscaped with water features etc. Nice place to sit outside and eat lunch from one of the many food trucks that line up around the corner.

Great area. I love it there, great stores like Louis Vuitton, and Burberry are close by, along with restaurants and tables to eat at for anyone. Really cool water fountains in the middle, along with an entrance with screens around it.

Beatific expensive shops. Stayed with family in condominium overlooking courtyard. Ate in good restaurant. Spring time music in courtyard on weekend. Close to chinatown. Great area to live especially young professionals.

If you want a really upscale feel, head to CityCenterDC. The ground floor is lined with luxurious brands and upscale restaurants. Gives a perspective on how the rich really live, and never too crowded.

Beautiful venue; large, clean comfortable meeting rooms. Excellent ladies room accomodations. A bit chilly, so bring a light wrap just in case. Knowledgeable, courteous, helpful personnel throughout.

Always a fun place to go with the family. Nice restaurants, cool art, water fountains for the kids to get wet in the summer, delicious bakery, and fancy shops. Also, parking is not expensive for DC.
