Oh I love this store! Okay, so its odd that it is split up between two different sides of 2000 Penn. And, okay, the sales staff wont wow you with unbelievable friendliness, although if you have a question or need help they will help. They dont just ignore you at least. But what keeps me going back - to the point that I have banned myself from the store because my budget cant take any more for a while - are the cute dresses and jewelry. Love them! I wish they would have more of each item (once a size is gone, forget getting any more). Ive gotten cute metal flower rings on sale for $10 a piece. And some very cute dresses for $75-50 - dresses that are different from the chain stores that make up most of DC. Tired of walking down the street and being able to recognize where most of the outfits you see on the street came from? Go to Expressions. The clothes arent crazy or weird. They are hip and sometimes very classic styles (at least the dresses and coats are) but they are a different alternative to the same old boring Ann Taylor and Loft that I am so tired of seeing on everyone. Anyway I digress. The stores has cute styles that arent very expensive. If that sounds good enough to you then go check it out.

Nice little hidden mall from the street view, you wouldnt even know it existed unless you walk into the sidewalk sign (which I almost did). If the goal of this mall was to disappear, theyve done a pretty high-fiveable job. I guess you just have to be a local resident to know. I did walk in on a Sunday and I first thought it was one of those abandoned malls, because nearly every store was empty or closed for the day. There are a 3 levels and the inside is very quaint. There are two bakeries and a CVS and a couple chain restaurants. Be warned, you might need help finding this place. Ask a local or bring one of those night vision goggles.

Wow. This place should be shut down or be inspected more often. I have a terrible experience every time I go to this place, Paul cafe on 2000Pennsylvania Ave. DC. I ordered a mozzarella veggie sandwich, my first bite into my sandwich I felt a piece of hard foreign object between my teeth. When I spitted out I saw a piece of broken white hard plastic. When showed it to the manager he was not that surprised. He offered to replace it, but it doesnt change any thing. I will never go to Paul again. If you are buying any food from this place make sure to inspect what is in it before putting it in your mouth.

This place conceals a unique array of shops like Paul, CVS, a florist, and others youd never know were in here. Ive walked by so many times, and had no idea all these shops were inside. I decided to check it out today, but the first thing I noticed was the overwhelming smell of bleach throughout the entire area. It was because of the strong bleach smell that I made a quick loop around and got out of there.

Indoor walking mall with lots of chain restaurants and shops. Went on a late Sunday afternoon, when most places were closed. Would recommend coming back at a more active time.
