Store gets a 3 b/c Im averaging my two experiences. The first experience was outstanding - combination of two salespeople who tag teamed over consecutive days but both were easy to work with and stayed in touch throughout the process to ensure we knew the status of our order, when it could be delivered, etc... The 2nd experience has been wholly frustrating. Bought 4 pieces of furniture - none in stock and had to be ordered - salesperson said 2-3 weeks for delivery. Not ideal but reasonable. At the end of the 3rd week, no furniture and no call from store. I called and spoke to my salesperson only to find out after he had to call me back the following day that the two main pieces were further delayed, one should be in within 5 days but the other 4-5 weeks. He assured me hed get what he could to me as soon as it was in. Again, that shouldve been within a week of that phone call. That time came and went so I just called again today only to be told everything would be in by Monday (two days from today)and that it could be delivered next week. So, we shall see..... I understand these things happen and the sales people are not in control of availability and distribution. They are in control of communication with customers and not only did he not communicate, he seemed almost offended that I am annoyed by his lack of it. I firmly believe that if I hadnt reached out both times, I still wouldnt know where the heck my furniture is and when Id get it. So, my suggestion to anyone out there who visits this store, set clear communication expectations with your salesperson if your selections are not in stock at the local distribution center. If I buy from this store again, I will only do business with one of the two from the first time, preferably the young man from the 2nd day. He was amazing I really wish I could remember his name to recommend him.

My fiance and I were very excited to buy new bedroom furniture, so we went to Ashley Furniture. We found a set we loved and bought it. That was when our trouble began. The first delivery of furniture included shattered lamps and the hinges broken off several pieces of the furniture. The 2nd delivery, several weeks later included lamps that were lopsided with thick glue sticking out, and scratches on the bases. Also, the marble that was on the furniture came in gritty and not shiny. In the showroom we saw marble that was smooth and shiny. The manager, whom I believe is Mike, told me he saw nothing wrong with the lamps, after his sales associates even agreed and pointed out the defaults. He proceeded to tell me there was nothing he could do about the marble and I had to get in touch with the distribution center. Well, I did that... several times. The first claim I put in asking someone to come out and look at the marble to see what was wrong with it somehow got "lost." Then there was a second claim, which apparently was never put through either. I am so frustrated, because this company only cared about getting money and not making sure their furniture was delivered correctly or the quality. Now, I am being told that the marble is not covered under the warranty/protection plan. However, it was delivered this way! In order to return this furniture I need to pay a 25% restock fee. Therefore, I am stuck with furniture that did not look like the furniture I thought I purchased from the showroom. I am disappointed in the service and the quality. This was the worst experience ever. I will be sure to tell my friends and family to stay away from this place! If you decide to shop from Ashley Furniture, BEWARE! You may not get what you initially thought and get more hassle than what you bargained for.

WARNING THEY DO NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR WARRANTY. I purchased furniture in OCT.2013 .when I bought the furniture I was told by the sales clerk that the furniture only came in 2 colors ,cream or sand.Only cream was on displayed ,but I purchased the sand. the furniture arrived it looked like wet sand or mud. I did no call to complain because I was told their was only 2 choices and I knew the cream was too light, but i was very unhappy .but the furniture was comfortable , after a week I called the store because I saw defects in the furniture and they said they would have someone call me, well the holidays came up and I let it go and they never calld. In Feb for presidents weekend I went into the store to look into an additional piece of the furniture , I complained profusely about the lack of follow up for the other furniture and now I found out that the wet sand color was in fact NOT SAND and the sales rep was WRONG ABOUT THE ONLY 2 COLORS,. THE STORE did get someone to come out and look at the furniture and take pictures and that was the last of it. Ive been calling ever since ...it is now May and furniture still not repair .... wish I bought someplace else

I guess this store is not interested I. Selling anything. I saw a dinnette set I wanted so I drove here, not a " salesperson " at all acknowledged me. I am black but I here money, which is green is accepted everywhere. I now feel that these stores that have low profits and close are their own worst enemy. I have found two distinct things in most companies that ring true: 1. Very very poor welcoming-they pre-judge certain groups of people. Never prejudice a persons, wealth by the color! Remember no matter what color a person is whats o. Their pocket/purse is GREEN! 2. WHEN they do approach you its some patronizing word, like can I help you home, etc. Heck no! I am spending my hard earned money so I am not your "honey"! Its business, youre not my husband nor my significant other. My boss or clients dont call me honey and guess what I Dont call them Honey. I say all this to say I hope that some PR person can Educate their personnel, part-time and full-time about these 2 simple pet peeves, Business will get better. It wont t be another one. Bites the dust! I am Just saying, remember the customer is why you are I. BUSINESS!!!!!!!

I bought a couch from Ashley Furniture in Turnersville October 2014, warranty and all. A year or so into owning this couch I noticed the couch was sinking a little and the cushions were becoming more and more worn with a very average amount of use. As time went on the problem became increasingly worse, with the cushions becoming noticeable awkward and uncomfortable. I called Ashley to try and resolve the problem and the store directed me to the Furniture Doctor, who apparently handles the warranty work. When the "doctor" showed up, this very young early 20 something year old kid shows up at my house, inspected my couch for about 3 minites and told me nothing is wrong the couch was fine and suggested I "sit on it correctly and I wouldnt have these problems" Then the kid preceded to tell me where a foam store was so I could make new cushions myself. Needless to say my no one was going to help me with my deteriorating year and a half old $1,000+ couch. Im appalled by the both companies, particularly with Ashley and the abysmal customer service and with unacceptable quality considering the price.
