This was literally the MOST racist Food Lion I have ever been to. The girl at the cash register acknowledged all of her other (white) guest but did not speak to my father and I. She made it very obvious that she did not want to ring us up, and she made the entire transaction uncomfortable. The other workers were the same. They spoke to all of the white guest, but they never acknowledged us. They looked at us as if we are below them and trust me thats not the case at all. I will never shop here again.

This grocery store has been here a long long time. It used to be severely crowded before Harris Tweeter opened up a few miles south down the road. The quality of the food may be somewhat less than HT but not completely. I often prefer FL over HT but recognize each grocery store for their pros and cons. This FL is well established, is very conveniently located and still maintains a high quality of service and productivity.

Ive got to say i was pretty surprised by how low cost everything in this store was. When we found out this was the closest place to stock up on food and toiletries i expected everything to be almost double priced but some of the stuff is actually cheaper than back home. The building itself is a bit dated and looks a little dirty but thats not a big issue.

This is a good store to go to if you are a tourist on vacation. The store seems like it tries to maintain a wide variety of stock for the vacationers in the summer, but it still isnt the best. It is good for those who are going to only be around for a few days. It gets busy on the weekends, so the best time to shop is in the week (I.e, Friday)

This place was packed with people both yesterday and today. But they were the days people would have been arriving to start their vacation week here. The lines moved pretty fast as all the registers were opened. Looks like rain for the beginning of the week and clearing for the end.

This is a clean well stocked grocery store. Not as fancy as some others but it does the job. If you notice the strange grates at the doors you should know that they were put there to keep the wild horses from visiting the produce section.

This rating may change the next time Im in the area. The store was in the process of a remodel so finding things was laborious. Its a great location and the staff was friendly. We will absolutely give it another try on our next trip.

Vacationing in Corolla? Food lion is less expensive than Harris Teeter. Come Saturday if possible or wait until Monday or late at night. Sunday is when all the new vacationers arrive and this place is packed.
