Attempted to purchase a vehicle and used the internet to do my research. Decided on the car I was interested in, and did as the internet requested. THE ANTWERPIN PAGE STATES: "LOCK IN SALES PRICE : Please Note: We provide Savings on our vehicles daily based on current inventory supply. Check to see if this vehicle qualifies for a Sale Price." I asked for best price and an out the door total with it broken down. i THOUGHT THIS WOULD BE A STREAM-LINED PROCESS, SAVING ME HOURS IN A DEALERSHIP...... I bought my Lexus in 2004 over the internet without a hitch. 11 years later , I cant believe that this dealership wont even provide information they say they provide on their website. I couldnt get ANY REQUESTED INFORMATION; just continual emails requesting appointment. THEY ARE OBVIOUS FORM LETTERS THAT SAY IN PART: " Thank you again for your interest in Antwerpen Hyundai of Catonsville. I wanted to make sure you have received all the information that you want and need in order to make a well informed decision." I respond that I didnt receive any information and requested it again. Response: "Visit the dealership, love the vehicle. Price is the easiest part of the process" Really? I would have been o.k. if they had given me the breakdown and left the price as listed. But I received NOTHING to help me make an informed decision. When I became increasingly frustrated, and continued to ask for the requested information, explaining why I wanted the information and my lack of time to come in to check things out", I received no information. The standard "make an appointment" emails continued. I requested that I be taken off the list, that my business was lost to this gentleman, the emails continued with rationalizing that I needed to test drive the vehicle first...... stating: " All of our pre-owned inventory has an advertise price. I have no control over pre-owned pricing. What good is a price if you dont like the vehicle?" I asked to be taken of the his email list; that his responses, in no way addressed my questions. Kevins response? "Good Luck". Really? Really Kevin? When I pointed out that I did as the site requested; how he was making this very difficult; how 8 days later I still have no information; how this transaction should have been written up a week ago; how I should be driving around in my new car; this "Internet Sales Manager" emailed me that my "strong arm tactics" arent acceptable and "at this point our business is concluded". Wow!! 8 days later, a total of 9 emails , and I still have no price, no car, and certainly even less time to spend on this insanity. I asked questions and got form letters in return! When I called the "Internet Sales Manager" on it, I get a sarcastic "Good Luck" then the rude "strong arm tactics" email. Exactly who is strong arming? I am the customer; I wanted information that wasnt provided; I am ready to buy; Ive done the research; and Antwerpian still wants to do the old days sales approach. Why have an internet department? Those that use the internet to make buying decisions dont want the old style selling! The mere fact that I have put in a large amount of my time "at my convenience" should clue the dealership that I need to be sold differently than a walk in. Its hot, Im ticked, was treated terribly....... and most importantly, I still dont have a freakin car. Is this really o.k. with Antwerpin? Maybe! But it definitely shouldnt be o.k. with consumers.

The service is a total nightmare!. This service manager told me "You are one step away from being thrown out" after I disclosed he lied to me that my vehicle is out of warranty. My car only has 22,000miles and bought 2009, firstly he lied to me that I only have 36K warranty, the 5yr/60K is only basic warranty. I called Hyundai immediately, the Hyundai told me they are lying and told me I have full 5yr/60K warranty. Then this Tim Shipe told me the warranty does not cover the broken lugnut. I asked why did you told me my car is out of warranty at first, he then told me ;you are one step away from being thrown out". In the whole process, I did not see any improper words or dirty words. It is a real nightmare, I will never buy Hyundai again. I bought a brand new 2009 model in Feb 2009, but the warranty start from Oct 2008 with less than 20 miles. I Tried car A but finally they deliver car B I am using which has less than 20 miles. They are not honest and recommend too many services to me when I did oil change last time two years ago so I never do oil change again with them except the repair and now get such result. After I went home I called Hyundai company, the Hyundai told me someone began to use that half year before it was sold to me which means it is a DEMO car(less than 20 miles), I paid for a brand new car with full warranty, but got a used car with partial warranty. It is a nightmare to buy and got the car repaired there. I rate the service and quality as 0 and rate appeal as 1 because the hyundai said they will submit a case for me to see if they can refund me the money I paid for repair in another dealer which may take 6 weeks. It also sounds like a trick from Hyundai.

My husband and I went here to check out the 11 Sonata. My concerns: -lack of knowlege on the Sonata by the salesguy (I wanted to know about it, specs, etc. and all he told me about were the cup holders and then begged me to take it for a test drive) -no clear answer on the price ("The sticker price isnt the real price, but neither is the internet price. Oh, and you cant use the Internet coupon.") -sales manager who was throwing around random numbers--- with a range of about $4000. First of all the Internet price is far below the sticker price, which I anticipated, but the salesguy wouldnt tell me what "rebates", specifically, the internet price included. When he tried to, that only got us back halfway to the sticker price-- and I qualified for two of them. The rest he couldnt qualify with any reasoning, but said that wouldnt be the price and when I pressed him for the bottom line-- he got the sales manager. So the sales manager comes and tries to give me some numbers by doing math in his head (while I had my phone out using the calculator). Needless to say his math was way off and he was trying his best to convince me I "needed" this car blah blah blah. So when adding up the monthly payment he told me, plus my money down, it was well beyond the price of the car with the rebates. So they honestly thought I was just some stupid woman who couldnt add, and were using that to try to get me to pay more than they were selling it for. So I left. And will NEVER go back to any Antwerpen dealership if this is how it is. (Sad, because I thought Jack says "yes")
