Let me start off by saying I love cars and also happen to work in sales, granted not car sales. But youd imagine with that background car buying would be fun and exciting for me however it proved to not exactly be a walk in the park. I was after a very specific Ram but not pressed for time so I opted to wait until the right one popped up. I spent about 4 months looking for the right one and even traveled to 3 different states. I looked at a lot of vehicles and was lied to by numerous dealerships, shocker! Then I found a truck that fit the bill over at Allen Mello so I reached out and scheduled a time to go see the truck. I worked with Derek and thankfully my experience with him and the dealership was far from the norm hence my desire to write a review. Derek listened to me. Imagine that someone that works in sales and listens! He was not pushy and didnt try and tell me about all the features the truck included. Being a car guy I wanted to get the truck up in the air for inspection. Derek said no problem and we got it into one of the bays for inspection. No BS stories about why that couldnt happen; he just made it happen. The truck checked out and it came time to work final numbers. We had already worked out a figure over the phone pending condition was as described. I found a couple trivial things presented it to Derek and he made a case to his manager to meet my numbers. He also promised me a couple things would be taken care of prior to me picking up the vehicle to which he delivered on. At no point in time did I ever feel pressured or as if I was being lied to. The stars has finally aligned and I was happy to make the sale with Derek and pick up my new to me truck. Now fast forward a couple weeks after the sale something small popped up so I reached out to Derek to gather his feedback. Derek true to his word did some digging and went above and beyond to make things right for me. Its not everyday you meet someone who is true to his word and is especially the case in this industry. Unfortunately it took me a few different vehicles and a few different states to finally find the right one but Im happy to say that not only did I end up with a great truck for a great price but I also had the opportunity to work with a guy that was true to his word and took care of me even after the fact when he didnt have to but he chose to do what was right. Thank you Derek for a pleasant car buying experience! I wish I started my search with you and I probably would have saved a ton of time!

Update to the review below: I had originally gave them 1 star but after the service that I received from Jim C, I have bumped it up to 4. I wish I could give 5 but I think it is important for people to understand that they need to be aware of pre owned vehicles they are purchasing AND I felt that many of my frustrations could have been easily avoided. With that said, Jim C took the time to meet with me on a busy Saturday afternoon for the dealership, review all my options and listen to my story. He put his Operations Manager/Service on the task of ensuring my vehicle was fixed right and even comped me a rental vehicle. It truly turned the whole experience around. I would say that Allen Mello is definitely worth checking our during your car buying experience! I purchased a 2009 Dodge Journey from this dealership the end of September 2014. The vehicle had less than 45,000 miles on it. I test drove it, looked at all the necessary documents, was assured by sales person Bob Curran that this vehicle went through a rigorous 200 point inspection. We made the sale, in good faith I gave them my money. The following week, I brought the car back for NH Inspection (purchased on a Sunday) and it failed. It needed the back brakes and rotors replaced. The next two weeks was back and forth phone calls with them and trips to Nashua for other issues that began popping up. Where they hemmed and hawed if they would pay for the repairs. The end result within 2 weeks of purchase? Replaced rear brakes and rotors, serpentine belt, air conditioner compressor and other minor repairs. Meanwhile an illuminating check engine light. Where am I at less than 6 months later? A check engine light indicating vacuum lines, and EAG valve replacement, a distinct vibration and shake in the front end driving down the highway and a busted windshield wiper component that will not allow me to utilize my wipers to clean off my windshield.

I bought a 2005 Ford F150 FX4 from these guys in December of 2014 and was very happy with it. When I first got the truck it was great, but after driving it for a couple days I noticed a few things that should be addressed. The truck shook bad at highway speeds, the shifter lights and one of the fan speeds didnt work. I brought it back and spoke to a salesman who wrote up a DOD form and took it right in. They had my truck fixed within a few days, and replaced the tires with 4 brand new Firestones! Ever since the tires were changed I havent noticed any shaking. Now fast forward 2 months, Im driving down the highway and the check engine light comes on. After using a code reader the truck was misfiring and again I brought it back to Allen Mello. After meeting with my salesman, the owner Jim Kacavas came out and introduced himself to me. He said he wanted to make this right, and gave me a loaner car while his service department takes a look at my truck. After finding out it would cost upwards of $700 for the parts and labor, I refused to pay and wanted to use the warranty I had purchased. I later found out the warranty only covers coil packs, and I would have to pay for the labor and price of 8 spark plugs. Jim called me himself, and said he wanted to make this right and he would cover the cost of the spark plugs. He told me all I needed to do was pay the $100 deductible of my warranty for the coil pack and I gladly accepted. From the time Allen Mello had my truck, I had a brand new Jeep to drive around thanks to Jim. After picking up my truck the check engine light was off and everything seemed back to normal again! I would highly recommend Allen Mello, these guys stand behind their vehicles and truly care about customer service. I want to thank Jim Kacavas for such a great experience when I thought I was down and out.

I had the unexpected happen Monday morning, my 2001 Jeep Cherokee died, it had done its job with over 180k miles. I had only one place that I wanted to go and that was Allen Mello, I have been "looking" there for years at my dream truck. Poor sales people that would spend time with me just so I could get more research in was a pleasure all unto itself; and were talking 2004 - 2012 I would go in periodically. Monday evening I entered the dealership with my husband not expecting to be able to get the "dream"; we were met by Craig Clark, he was so kind and was able to read me like a book, he knew exactly what I wanted. He also knew my husband didnt want to necessarily pay for what I wanted so he showed and had me drive a 2 door wrangler, truck was ok, but he knew it wasnt what I wanted, with no hesitation he showed me the 4 door and then the magic happened, I drove it for maybe 3 minutes and said I want it, I still had the look of fear on my face and Craig did a great job trying to reassure me things would work out. That being said, IT DID!! I am not driving a brand new 2013 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, to top it off, it was the color I always wanted as well, Maroon with black interior. I was able to drive my car home Monday night, and to have even BETTER customer service they were able to accommodate me again on Tuesday for the delivery cleaning, inspection sticker, and went over many of the features, how to remove the roof for example and he helped set up the blue tooth for my phone. Overall I have to say this was the BEST experience Ive ever had with a sales person. I would recommend Allen Mello, but would have to say, ask for Craig Clark, you will not be disappointed. Thank you again Craig, honestly from the bottom of my heart, you delivered me my dream!! Robin Hudson, NH
