Since moving to Mechanicsville 17 years ago, I have found Mechanicsville Honda to be THE BEST auto dealership I have ever experienced in every way. We have now purchased 5 different cars from them and every time, it has been a wonderful, no pressure, experience. I truly couldnt ask for more. Lauren Conway-Gouldman is kind, knowledgeable, and a joy to work with. She helped us many, many times before we ever purchased a car from her. Her customer service skills are truly outstanding. Tony Migliore is also wonderful and helped us purchase our CR-V two years ago. Most recently, Chris Harrison, the General Manager, went of his way to help us get just the right Civic that we were looking for, which included seeking it out in Virginia Beach and bringing it to Richmond in less than two days. They trust us and we trust them - and for me, that is a rarity in the car business. In addition, we have had all our cars serviced at Mechanicsville Honda and have found Daryl Newman to be one of the most helpful and competent service advisors ever. He has always been honest, had the utmost integrity, and even has a pretty funny sense of humor, once you get to know him :-) In my more than 40 years of driving experience, finding a dealership where you can count on competence and reliability of the service department is definitely worth its weight in gold. I think we are done buying cars for quite a while, but my husband and I will still continue to go to Mechanicsville Honda for our service and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a good used car or new Honda. In fact, all of the sales staff have been very kind, and very friendly, through the years of our interactions and I think you can definitely say that customer service and respect for the customer is a number one value that all of the employees seem to live every day. Thanks again - to everyone - for being here in Mechanicsville and making it a great experience all the way! Jean Gasen

Bought car for good price and felt ok by it but the prep of car was terrible. Tail light was out, wipers hard and asked to be replaced. They repaired it reluctantly . Inspection was 9 months old but they did that but had to ask. Belts squeaking and it may be waterpump. Have a 3 month 3000 Mile warranty so they may see me before the end of this. Should not have to be a mechanic and ask for things to be fixed. They will let you leave knowing the car needed these but repaired once I pointed it out. Again why not do this first??...2nd part of story. I took car back for belts related to part above and instead of them repairing it I was told I should "man up and change my review above and they would put belts on. I had to agree to pay 1/2 of it before they would do the work. the service manager even told me that I should not come back because he has no more to offer if something else arose. about 3 months later the first time I raised the hood after the belts were installed I notice they left off about 3-4bolts that hold on the wind shield wiper fluid resovore and the engine cover is just flopping around. I also ran low on oil unexpectedly and from them changing my oil they left the oil pan lug less than hand tight and almost all the oil was sitting in the plastic pan under the car along with an oil soaked mechanics rag. I could have blown the car up if that had not been caught. This company needs to "man up: and stop trying to intimidate customers. one of the worse car dealers I have ever dealt with. They are the reason used car dealers have a bad rep. I will turn off any person who mentions this dealer as somewhere they are thinking about buying a car from them. Shady and no morals, they will say or do anything to make a sale then dog you on the back end. The dealer owner needs to get in someone behind in the garage and sales floor.

I purchased a brand new Honda in January of 2013. Yesterday I rolled the drivers side window down and it would not roll back up. I talked with Mr. Mike Murphy at the Mechanicsville Honda Dealership and he told me to bring it in and they would see what they could do. I spent an hour and a half yesterday going to and from the dealership only to find out that they didnt have the part they needed to repair the car (window regulator) and I would need to return when the part was delivered. I asked if they could not provide me with a loaner since my car was under warranty (less than a year old with a 3 year warranty) that I would return once the car was repaired. It is an especially busy time at work and this was a huge inconvenience. Mr. Murphy said that they would not consider this since I had not purchased the "extended" warranty. So, although I had a 3 year warranty on this car and the window had malfunctioned within 9 months of my purchase of the car, the dealership was unwilling to extend me any courtesy in this situation other than repairing the broken window. Im very disappointed in the service at Mechanicsville Honda - gravely disappointed that a part on the car was broken within nine months of my owning it - disappointed that the dealership did not have the part and that they required me to leave work again today to bring the car back to them, especially since there are multiple car parts companies less than 15/20 minutes from the dealership and stunned at the lack of flexibility in meeting the customers needs for transportation to and from work! If you are thinking about buying a Honda, you might want to think again. If you are thinking about doing business with Mechanicsville Honda . . . well, youve been warned.

Ive bought a few new cars over the years and always dreaded dealing with the car salesman. Well, all that changed when I got a call from Bob Lane at Mechanicsville Honda. Asked me what I was looking for, said let me see what I can do and Ill get back with you, which he did, and got me what I was looking for, never a hesitation. Nicest, considerate, and accommodating salesman Ive ever dealt with in buying a car. Made it a pleasurable experience. Id been dealing with 4 other dealerships, didnt even come close to how Bob took care of my purchase. They wanted proof of the deal I was getting, which to me was insulting. I didnt want to deal with someone who questioned me like I was lying or deal with their arrogance. Another salesman is a top seller and he thought he was selling me a car without him doing anything because of his reputation, didnt fly with me. I didnt have any of that with Bob. Every time I asked for something, he delivered. No problem, let me see what I can do was his answer to every question from me. To me Bob was looking out for me, which meant a lot. If there was a rating scale, Id definitely give him a 10, no doubt about it. There should be more salesmen like him and thered be more cars sold, my personal opinion. Id recommend Bob Lane to anyone who is interested in buying a car. Id definitely go back if Im ever in the need for another Honda. Thanks again Bob for all your help in getting my new Honda, looking forward to working with in learning more about my car. Your willingness to help me puts my mind at ease with all that Ill have to learn and I know I can call you with all my questions. Erma
