I have lived in the Metro Washington DC area for more than 20 years and never felt that Fitzgerald Auto Malls ever tried to "cheat" "lie" or be dishonest with me. With that being said I do feel very differently about the Sales Department vs. the Service Department. *FULL DISCLOSURE - I used to work in the sales department and never worked in the service department. I rank the Sales department as a 5 star because I have never had an issue with a salesperson either giving me direct answers to my questions (sometimes in writing other times directly connecting me to the manufacturer representative for confirmation). I (or my family) have purchased 5 Hyundai vehicles and 2 Chrysler vehicles plus 4 used vehicles of varying brands. I have to rank the Service Department at 3 stars because I have noticed a shift in the pricing philosophy. When I first purchased a vehicle with Fitzmall it came with the green book and was a lifetime program. The price was $339 more than internet price but came with a loaner car and service discounts. Now it is over $600 and the booklet is gone; however, there are cash/credits for service. I think the new program is not better - but that is my opinion. I have not received any explanation that is satisfactory to me as to why the change. I am certain it was a business decision - it is just not one I prefer. My salesperson this time was Larry Payne. I leased a 2013 Hyundai Azera from him after my 2004 Hyundai Sonata was totaled in a collision on I-495. The process took 20 minutes to land on the car and once the I made my decision the car and the paperwork were ready within the requested time frame. I arrived for delivery and the car was cleaned and ready to go as planned. The finance person Kathy was professional and efficient and we were in and out in less than 10 minutes. The process was painless and the team of Pete Hemnani, Larry Payne, Kathy, were fantastic. I would also like to thank the guys in the detail and wash bay. They cleaned my car and prepared it for delivery on a very cold and snowy day without complaint and were fast and efficient. THANK YOU!!!!

I was in a hurry to purchase a new vehicle because mine had recently been dubbed a total loss. I had decided to look at both the Hyundai Santa Fe and the Honda Odyssey. I decided to venture to Fitzgerald because of the great reputation in my daughters school and our church community - Holy Cross. When I walked in I asked for a senior rep, he was out for the day, but Mr. Ben Samtani stepped right up to assist me with my search. He immediately found me the color and features I wanted in the Santa Fe, and we took it for a test drive....I LOVED IT! I decided to also test the Odyssey just to make sure my mind was made so Mr. Ben and Mr. Pete suggested I go to a near by dealership to see if I could make my decision easier that day. I did and it was no contest, my dad and I returned to Fitzgerald and they ran the numbers, giving me a lower APR than my previously approved financing from my bank, but a higher payment that I wanted to pay. Mr. Ben and Mr. Pete suggested I look at a Sonata because it had all the features I wanted (Backup Camera, Sun/Moon Roof, Push to Start, etc) for less than the price I was looking to pay for a Santa Fe. Long Story Short, Im so happy with my purchase it was the best decision I could have made, Mr. Ben and Mr. Pete did not feel like sales consultants but dear uncles assisting me in making the right choice. I look forward to buying another vehicle...from Fitzgerald and from Mr. Ben Samtani!!!

I HAD AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE @ Hyundai Rockville Pike! Jacob was so wonderful in staying late to answer my questions about a 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe GLS. He was quite honest in answering all my questions and put me at ease about my reservations/doubts. Jacob ensured that I was able to test drive the model I was interested in - even picking one up from a reserve lot 3 miles down the road. Jeff, the General Sales Manager was equally attentive; very kind. He ensured that my loan would be approved based on the vehicle chosen and even researched available rebates to apply to my package. Jeff had my vehicle detailed and ready in a short amount of time. He found me a better loan package than that offered by my bank. Bob, the Finance Manager was equally attentive and explained in detail every single piece of paper I was signing; also very patient with all my questions. All three guys were absolutely relaxed and up front throughout the entire process. Ben, a senior sales manager sat in the vehicle with me and reviewed every single detail and mechanics; very patient and answered all my questions. There was no pressure to purchase - very chill and relaxed vibe. I got hugs from everyone - smiles all around from everyone. This was THE most amazing car buying experience Ive ever had. I felt like I was with family - older brothers wanting only the best for me. I absolutely recommend FitzMall at Rockville Pike.

Im changing my review back. Jack Fitzgerald, $#&@ YOU!!! Dont go here and dont give him business at his other dealerships, he is another rich slim ball just as bad as another local business man that is in social controversy over his sports team. The company did as much fighting as they could to not honor the HYUNDAI WARRANTY while it was still valid. If they checked the car properly out the last time I took it to them it may not be a junker with a severe damage. Each time I would take it to them I feel they over charged for services that apart from the oil changes could have been done better. I may sound litigious in this review, its because they managed to think this account that I try to keep disconnect from my personal life as much as possible and out of the of blue they contacted and made specific references to me changing my review. As it seems to me if the owners business was really about doing a good job the first time then "damage control" wouldnt be needed as much. It also seems that they may have people posting fake positive reviews but that is what it looks like to me. The bottom line DONT GO TO ANY DEALERSHIPS they dont care apart from staying in profit, its called big business.

Got taken for a ride. I had a bad crankshaft sensor and needed it replaced. I was due for a timing belt replacement so I decided to take care of it at the same time. I chose this Hyundai dealer because theyre a bit closer, terrible decision. First they quoted me $1,400. I was shocked and called my normal Hyundai certified mechanic (also with a dealer). He informed me that the cost should never ever be more than $900, and that this service typically runs $600-$900 for the replacement of the sensor, timing belt and balance shaft belt (additional timing belt). I contacted the fitz location and they had to backtrack to get the rate back to $1000. Yes, they admitted to trying to overcharge me $400. After we finally agree on the price they do the work, and then after the work is done tell me they could have replaced my drive belt (due to be fixed soon) for $60, but because I hadnt asked them to, they would have to charge me full labor to go back in again if that needs to be fixed. I was absolutely taken advantage of by this place and hope that no one will have the experience I did. Please do yourself a favor and go to ANY other Hyundai service location than this one.
