**UPDATED** Yes, I went from a very not-happy customer to a very-happy customer. Heres why: David McBrearty, General Manager. David came over from Audi, and I have not experienced what its like to deal with them, but if they continue operations in his style, they will do very well. Let me tell you a bit about this very qualified professional. When we went in to pick up the car and deal with what was expected to be a frustrating experience of paying for something we had not wanted, I couldnt help but feel let down and ready to accept that even Porsche had become yet another brand that didnt really care about loyal customers. All that quickly evaporated when David stepped in. He took the time to review the actions, listen to our account of what transpired, and then swiftly acted in a way that defines GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. He ascertained that there was a breakdown in communications that led to the situation and was openly determined to earn our trust and future business. There was no way he was going to let us out the door unsatisfied. He is a smart guy that knows the real value of customer loyalty, and as a performance car (and motorcycle) enthusiast and owner, my first (and likely last) stop for a new or used Porsche would be his store. In fact, if you are considering a high-end car of any marque, Porsche should be at the top of your must-see list and you should certainly go see David and his team - I expect you will be impressed with the new showroom and layout as well, and of course the engineering artwork that is every Porsche. Bravo David, job very well done! NOTE: I thought about simply editing this post and removing my original rant (below), and I will do so if David asks, but I felt it might be more impactful to leave as is. This way, more of the story is told of how customer service should be handled. **Original Review follows** Not happy. After dropping off the car and discussions on the phone regarding some expensive tune-up options, and an email from them indicating that they were awaiting further guidance on what to so, the Service Dept moved forward anyway. In the end, they stuck me with a $750 bill for which I was not expecting. I purchased 2 pre-owned cars here (911 and Boxter). I am done with these folks. Urge all to explore Currys if you live in the No VA area.

UPDATE: We were offered another vehicle with better tires - we have to wait a month but it is what it is. WATCH YOUR BACK dealing with Porsche of Tysons Corner. Caveat Emptor. This afternoon, my husband watched a vehicle -Macan S- he had put a non-refundable deposit on last week (SIGNED PAPERWORK INCLUDED THE CARS VIN NUMBER) be driving away by another customer. YES, he was there to pick it up and he waited 3 hours and in the end went home without the car that was his. WHAT KIND OF DEALER DOES THIS? Maybe the other person paid more? I get that but you dont have a signed document WITH VIN NUMBER and watch car leave the lot with someone else driving away. HOW IS THIS ETHICAL? Forget legalities for a moment, how did he put a non-refundable deposit on a specific car, have it come in and then see it given to someone else? Their solution - offer us a car we have to now wait for with a lousy upgrade of 20" tires. Seriously? After this breach of ethics? How can Porsche and this dealership be trusted. Ours salesman shall be unnamed at this time but if you private message me, I will show you our paperwork to back up my claims here....deposit info with VIN, the car listing with options we were cheated out of and the other car offered with the whopping 20" upgrade and long wait. Laughable. If we would have tried to back out on accepting delivery of this vehicle because we got it cheaper in Florida or any other place, we would have lost our deposit of thousands of dollars. There is an unfair double standard here where the customer is a victim. This dealership deserves zero stars but I had to give it one to post this review. How can you have a legally binding contract and have it broken in the blink of an eye and accept that? No one should be treated like this, especially a cash cash customer! Porshe of North America should be ashamed of this dealership and what they represent... Again, Im happy to share our paperwork with anyone who asks to prove this story is true - photos, too! We feel taken advantage of completely. SO FOLKS...I repeat....WATCH YOUR BACK dealing with Porsche of Tysons Corner. Caveat Emptor.

I am a 20 year old Chinese student. I had ordered as Porsche cayman gts 6 months ago which was a gift from my parents over seas for graduating from high school and staring college. I will not mention names but only their positions at the dealer. I put a deposit 10% of the value of the car which I spec out with the sales guy. I then received a call in end of Nov 2014 from the sales guy asking me for some information they needed for my file because my car was coming soon. I was so excited this day was finally coming. Anyway, the sales guy was very nice and requested for an updated driver license which the one they had on file was expired and they wanted my social security number. I do have a new driver license but I am a foreign student and I do not have a social security number but I told him I am buying the car cash just as I did with my Nissan back in August. He said he would check on it and get back to me. He did get back to me and nicely informed me they could not sell the car to me because I do not have a social security number. I then called my parents in China and informed of the news. After speaking to them, they suggested I speak to a manager because none of us ever heard of a rule that a social security is a must to buy a car in the USA. I went to the dealer and asked for the General Manager which he was outside smoking. I went to speak to him and this guy was extremely rude and he told me they do not have to sell me the car if they do not want too. I asked him why would they let me build a car and take my money if they would not sell me the car. He said he thinks I am a shipper and will not sell me the car. I asked him what is a shipper and he said I knew what it was. After that conversation I decided to start calling other dealers to get a Cayman gts. I do now have my cayman gts and love it. The Tysons dealer lost my business for service and when I am ready to move up to a 911 in 3 to 4 years I will be buying from the same dealer I purchased my cayman gts from. I would suggest for everyone to stay away from this dealer I know I will forever.

Poor service. I took my Cayman here to have its dead battery replaced. When my car was returned, it had two scratches that went down to the bare metal. The service department did not fix it properly (only put some touch up paint on it). Also, I sold my Cayman to them on December 14th. At the time I sold the car, they said that they would have a check ready for me on December 16th. I called on December 16th, and they said that I must have misheard and that I would get a check within 7-10 days. I properly heard what was told to me during the sale, but I figured maybe the store employee misspoke, so I called again two weeks after the sale. They still said that they could not give me a check yet. I called again on January 4th (three whole weeks after the sale), and they said that they still could not give me a check. They sold the car on December 16th, so they already have their money. Im not sure if they will give me my money, so I would avoid buying or selling cars at this dealership. Edit: They did come through not long after my last review. However, I did have to put up with another rude phone conversation. I posted my previous review due to a phone conversation I had on January 4th. I called to ask about the status of things, and the person on the phone (Fernandes or something) said he could not look into it because no one from the accounting department was there. I told him that if I did not get some type of status that day, then I would post reviews of my experience on the internet and contact Porsche NA (which I did). He said he would have someone contact me on January 6th, but I told him that would be too late. On January 6th, I was contacted by another person at Porsche of Tysons corner that did not sound too happy about my yelp review. He continued on saying that theres no way someone would have told me that my check would be ready December 16th. I am not sure why he does not believe that one of his fellow employees misspoke... instead saying that I misheard. This guy was not even around the desk where the deal was made.
