My wife and I are completely remodeling a kitchen and bathroom. Before we began, I wanted to check out Builders Surplus. As our first time in the building, we were wandering aimlessly. However, Chase came to our aid and walked us around to show us the many options they had that were all excellent choices for our plans and budget. He was very patient and informative. He showed us flooring options that were significantly cheaper than what HD had to offer and better made. We were looking at engineered hardwood. The selections we viewed at builders had no MDF cores as the HD selections do, with saving of more than $1 per sq ft on many options. Cabinet prices were fair. The standard cabinets sold at HD in the same price range are not made as well (I.e. MDF box at HD instead of plywood). Granite prices were harder to compare. HD prices include installation where Builders does not install. Taking all of this into consideration, it is worth the visit to Builders to see whats available. We look forward to doing business with Chase and the Builders. Thanks for the great customer service!

My husband and I went to Builders Surplus-Atlanta to purchase cabinets for our basement bathroom (I have 3 bathrooms to update). Maria sat with us until we were satisfied. We liked it so much, we went back up to purchase a cabinet for our hall bathroom. Maria wasnt there but Brittany helped us and she was just as great. The house we bought is 47 years old. We had purchased two medicine cabinet with mirrors. Our workers ran into some pipes which made it impossible to install the medicine cabinets. I called Maria and she was able to get permission for us to return them and get store credit. Normally, you cant return them because they are custom products. When I went to return the medicine cabinets, I just happened to get the store manager, Cameron. Cameron knew I was working with Maria. He walked me to her desk where we got the paperwork for the return and ordered new mirrors. Maria had customers with her, but I felt like had priority. I will definitely be going back for cabinets for the master bedroom.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CABINETS UNTIL ALL ARE IN STOCK! These guys are GREAT until you order cabinets! I couldnt have ask for better customer service at time of checkout. I had to order just 1 cabinet and was informed it would take 2 weeks. I took all my cabinets with me and had them installed. I was only waiting on the above refrigerator cabinet. I called to check on my cabinet and each call know one new what I was talking about or could even find my order. Frustrated at this point I was told my cabinet was in 3 weeks later.... yay finally! I called back the next day to confirm and make sure before driving 2hrs, after being on hold for 20 min twice to my surprise they did not have my cabinet and the cabinet ordered does not even come in the size ordered. They are not sure why the sales rep/ cabinet designer ordered a cabinet that they do not make.

We were very pleased with our trip to Builders Surplus today! The team members opened the doors and greeted us with smiles and high fives! We found our interior doors with the help of Roy, and they were fairly priced. We got a great deal on tile for our renovation and Jose helped us load it. The entire time we were in the store, friendly associates were asking if we needed help. My husband even commented, "Wow, thats so much better than HD". Lastly, Pia was so very pleasant as she checked us out. In addition to having competitive pricing, the employees actually seemed like they enjoyed working there and helping people! That kind of thing means a lot to me. Building and renovating can be stressful at times, but the team here made our shopping experience as smooth and easy as it could be. We will definitely continue to come back!

I visited Builders Surplus-Atlanta today for the first time and came away wishing I had come sooner! Jesse in the vanities/sinks department provided exceptional customer service. He quickly identified exactly the right marble top that closely matches the marble tile on my bathroom floor. He patiently showed me each available piece and advocated for a discount when there was a slight scratch on it. The manager, Paulo, was terrific and very helpful. The store is quite large with quite a variety from which to choose. The prices were great and it felt wonderful to have peace of mind knowing exactly the condition of what I chose (I was thinking of ordering from the internet, but too many reviews stated the products arrived broken and it takes so much longer to have items shipped!). I highly recommend Builders Surplus - Atlanta!

Just wanted to share how much i LOVE my new front doors. We purchased new double doors with beveled glass and a raised panel on the bottom. The hardwood is sturdy and just lovely with the natural grains running through. EVERY time someone comes to our beautiful doors they rave on them. We are proud to say where we purchased them. We also purchased tile for our screen porch floor from you and just LOVE that too. It is so nice to be able to rinse it off after the pollen season has finished its yearly assault on our porch. Each time weve visited, the prices were well under other retailers and the customer service left us with a very positive feeling. We will shop their again & will refer your store to our friends and neighbors. jane

TERRIBLE. DO NOT USE BUILDERS SURPLUS. We ordered kitchen cabinets 2 weeks ago (it will be two weeks ago tomorrow). When we ordered them, Nelson told us the cabinets would be delivered in a week and a half. He even wrote it on our paperwork. Now, they are telling me the cabinets will not be delivered until next Tuesday (making it almost 3 weeks from the date we ordered the cabinets). I do not appreciate being lied to. Also, Builders Surplus claims there is nothing they can do for me...no partial refund, etc. Ryan, the manager, says hell cut me a deal on some hardware, but thats all he can do. THE CABINETS WILL BE A WEEK AND A HALF LATE, and theres nothing they can do. I will never do business with these liars again.

Poor customer service. "General" Manager Bruce is the worst. An exciteful one hour travel became regretful due to him. Called in advance for an item that apparently was never in stock. Requested the manager to possibly resolve the matter. He definitely possess poor listening skills where the customer gets interrupted with information not pertaining to the concern & yelled at for his incompetence in conflict resolution. He boasts about no one being over him. Who does that? Bruce does. Never again. However, Greg did a great job attempting to resolve the issue. Maybe roles/ positions should be reversed. Overall: Bruce is definitely a bad representation of the company and they will say anything to get you to visit.

Poor customer service. I m going to spend a little more somewhere else on principle. According to their rude associates and management, it s company policy that I either come in person (45 miles away) to order or fax them a copy of my drivers license and credit card for them to take orders for interior doors -- which take a week for them to put together. Their policy to protect customers puts them at greater risk. The manager confirmed that they do not do background checks on their employees. I offered to show them my ID upon pick up but they refused. When I advised that I would take my business elsewhere the manager practically laughed at me. Jerks...
