What a nightmare!!! It can´t get any worse. I want to share my experience with the people thinking to place an order with IKEA, so they can avoid doing a great mistake and living such a terrible experience. This is the first time I am writing such a review, but believe me, this company has shown the worst service and highest incompetence I have ever dealt with. Don´t buy here if you can choose, I am desperate and nobody cares at all. Here is what happened: -Two months ago, I purchased a bed on the store. We set up the delivery date two weeks later, as I was travelling. When the day came, I took a day off to wait for the delivery, but nobody contacted nor arrived that day…¿? -After reaching out to and coordinating with the delivery company and Ikea (hours of calls, and waiting time) they rescheduled the delivery for two weeks later (oh yes sir, we are sorry)… I took another day off to be home again waiting for the delivery. -When the bed arrived they made a mistake and send only the heardboard!!, still sleeping on the floor! -I spent another huge amount time talking to Ikea to see options, and even spoke to the manager. He told me that they would take care of that, but that I had to wait for a new order. They would call me… -I received the call one week later, and they told me that they had to put another order and it would take 10 business day, so the delivery was schedule for tomorrow Friday. I said that was very important because I would be travelling on Monday…guess what? I received an email saying that they would deliver on Monday (Murphy laws again…). Wasn´t I clear enough? Why did they lie then?? -Right now I have spent the whole day calling the delivery company and Ikea, literally hours (average waiting time is over 40 mins on each call and … the phone calls always drops when they try to put me through to re-schedule the delivery for when I come back from my trip…funny!. Also, even the delivery company said that is really hard to contact Ikea and that they can´t do anything, and they told me, -be patient, I am an Ikea customer and have been there before, I know what you are saying!- So far… I am still sleeping on the floor (two months now!!!), and I don´t know when I will get my bed. Ikea always apologize, very kindly, but the reality is that they don´t solve the problem at all. So have in mind that if you order something you are going to spend hours and hours on the phone until you feel miserable, dealing with a really terrible system and suffering a terrible customer service and bureaucracy. Don´t make the mistake, don´t try to save a couple of bucks here because you will invest much more on your personal time. PS: And by the way, yes, they did charged me very diligently the first day in full…is this the way they improve their cash flow?. Please, learn from this, and I you want to buy something here, don´t say I didn´t warned you before!

Went to Ikea, bought $3999 worth of furniture and paid for the assembly and installation. Delivery guys came to my house and assembled all my furniture. One of the doors on my armoir was broken, so the guys told me I could go to the store and have them schedule someone to fix/repair it. I make my way to the Ikea store, 2 days after the delivery was made, to speak with a representative who would be able to help me get my new furniture fixed/replaced. The two "ladies" that I got to speak to were the absolute worse "customer service" reps I have ever had the displeasure to deal with. Their names were Thalia and Jessie. Disgusting attitudes from both. They kept asking me which part was broken, and what was wrong with it. I didnt try to assemble it, so I wouldnt know. They kept asking me the same question over and over again after I explained about five times that I had paid for assembly and I was told by the assemblers that something was broken and needed to be fixed or repaired. After I got over that, I was given attitude because I didnt know my account number. I tried to explain to them that this was my first time there and had no knowledge of my account number. Long story short, I got no where with these two women. I had to speak with a manager to get my repairmen scheduled to come to my house. Thalia and Jessie do not need to be working in customer service. Why? Because they had zero customer service skills. They might as well be working as janitors; cleaning toilets... something where they wouldnt have to speak with customers. They had no interest in trying to help me with my problem. Their attitude left a lot to be desired. I felt disrespected and left a pretty bad taste in my mouth. The only good experience I had here was with the saleswoman... Patricia. She helped me choose and order my furniture and was a pleasure to work with. Thalia and Jessie should take notes from her, she knows what customer service is.

My family is very disappointed by service in this store. They are cheaters saving money on children! They advertise a free play ground for children, but it is always very hard to get there and they never give additional time for Ikea Family as advertised. We love Ikea, our kid always ask us to go for shopping to Ikea instead of other store because of a good food and a playground, but service in this store made us to avoid going to Ikea. The capacity of the children playground is 50 kids, but they never accept so many kids and there are always waiting people. Stuff, working in the playground is not trained well, they dont know how to deal with kids. On April 6 we visited the store with our 5 years old kid, we were planning to do a lot of shopping and our kid was waiting to go to the playground. It was a weekday, not so many people in the store and we were expecting finally to get additional time for a kid on the playground to be able to do a lot of shopping. We went to the kids playground but we were not able to place our kid there. There were only 5 kids inside the empty playground and a big label saying "Waiting time 40 minutes". Several people with kids were waiting outside. A strange young lady with a strange colored hair told us she cannot accept any children because she is alone and we have to wait 40+ minutes in front of the play room. She didnt allow us to go for a shopping but we were supposed to stay in front of the play room and wait there. Our shopping was totally destroyed. Kid was crying, we were very upset. We were not able to buy everything we needed from the store. It is shame that this store is cheating children and their parents with false advertisement about a free playground for kids.

This is the WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD BUYING ANYTHING. After driving to the store and wading through the ridiculous parking philosophies, and unbelievable crowds, I had some help building a living room unit. I went to pick it out and oh WOOPS the computer gave me the wrong part number so I got the wrong color shelf unit. I only discovered that after lugging around the 80 lb. boxes while people in the store are screaming at me to hurry up and move. I drive home only to discover its wrong. I lug back the 80 lb. boxes, by the way half of the other shelving unit was also unavailable. I get to the store and the color I want is out of stock coming in a week, and so is the other shelving unit. I call back the store a week later, keep in mind I have half the unit on the floor of my house in boxes, and oh guess what the truck was delayed so sorry it appears that both of the missing shelving units were on the same truck "they said" and there was a problem with the truck, just one more week to wait. OK, no problem, so today is the week later, I call and guess what the Besta unit in walnut IS DISCONTINUED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh but the birch version a bit thinner same height is not!!!!!!!!!!!!! They discontinue a shelving unit??? That they display on the floors and try to sell people??? Only the color is discontinued? Now I have to drive back for an hour the 3rd time!!!! And return 120 lbs worth of boxes with half the shelving unit and doors I bought. MISERABLE EXPERIENCE MISERABLE STORE MISERABLE QUALITIES MISERABLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, NO REMORSE OR SENS E OF DOING ANYTHING WRONG AND TRY TO SPEAK TO SOMEONE YOU HAVE TO WAIT TO WAIT 30 MINUTES. WOW HOW HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
